help a "person in crisis." when the officers got to the woman's home she was armed with scissors. they conviced her to put them down, but then they say she approached the officer and grabbed a baseball bat. the sergeant fired two shots as the 66 year old tried to hit him. (wallace cooke jr./cousin) "her mother got her treatment, her sister got her treatment and it just didn't work." the sergeant is on modified duty while the n-y-p-d investigates the incident. oregon standoff case. ryan bundy gives his closing arguments -- asking jurors to "stand for freedom" and find him not guilty. bundy is among 7 defendants on trial for conspiracy charges for taking over a wildlife refuge. acting as his own attorney, he explained he joined the protest to support two ranchers he believed were wrongfully imprisoned. he acknowledge they took over the workspace of federal employees-- but it was all a

states military is warning north korea to calm their rhetoric..or face the consquences. defense secretary ash carter says an attack on american allies or any use of nuclear weapons by north korea would be met with an "overwhelming" response by the u.s. it's a move that reassures south korea that the u-s has it's back. the words come days after north korea's failed test launch of a ballistic missile. the assult on isis is moving that's according to iraqi officials leading the offensive to push the terror group out of mosul. but u-s military officials warn this remains a dangerous and tough fight that could last for months. abc's elizabeth hur has the latest the fight against isis.. forging ahead.. a human driver. the cars feature high-tech sensors to detect objects near and around the car - further than what the human eye can see. it will also be able to see clearly through fog and heavy rain. the company is promising software updates and new features for those with older teslas. t-mobile is being forced to pay millions of dollars in fines for selling unlimited data plans -- that weren't really unlimited. this is after the f-c-c received hundreds of complaints from customers --- claiming their data was unusable for day. the f-c-c says t-mobile didn't reveal its policy that allowed it to slow down data speeds for people on unlimited plans. the company will also compensate those affected with 35-and a half million dollars of additional data and phone accessory discounts. treat and if you're looking to get into the halloween spirit a little early-- you can head down to village square tonight. from 5-30 to 8-30 there will be
