metro is investigatingshooting y and reno avenue. police say that a homeless man was shot in the throat and possibly the face. his injuries are said to be life threatening. a nearby homeless camp is being searched but police have not released any information about the shooter. one person is dead and another is hurt after being hit by a car downtown. police tell us the two people were walking on the sidewalk....near las vegas boulevard and charleston when they were hit. officers say the driver took off...then ran into a nearby that's when officers took the driver into custody. the driver is suspected of driving under the influence. the surviving victim has serious injuries. 4 men are facing charges right now in connection with a local towing scam. the defendants face multiple felony charges including obtaining money or property under false pretenses. they also face fraud and racketeering charges.
