just hours apart. the latest crash happened around 7 last night near sunset and bermuda. detectives say a truck was driving down sunset when the car in front of them swerved to the left-- revealing a woman standing in the road. the truck crashed into her. she died at the hospital. just hours before that-- officers were called out to karen and lamb, where an 85 year old man was hit by an s-u-v. police say the driver was turning left onto lamb when she hit the edely man who was not in a crosswa critical condition. right now police need your help looking for this man they believe robbed a convenience store near flamingo and el capitan. officers say on friday night he walked into the business, demanded money...and simulated having a gun. the clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash... and the man got away. now to a story you'll see only on 13 action news. a guard gated community in henderson hit by a recent spree

for mosul-- and word that iraqi counter- terrorism forces are less than a mile away from the city's perimeter. cnn's arwa damon is on the ground with the latest. iraqi forces on the doorstep of isis- held mosul were struggling tuesday to make a final push to enter the city, with snipers, landmines and even road-blocking boulders slowing their progress. troops have been just hundreds of meters from mosul since monday evening -- the closest yet since launching an operation two weeks ago to free the city from more than two experts and officials have said that entering mosul will likely trigger the fiercest fighting seen yet in the offensive, and that the battle is expected to be fought "street to street," or even "house to house." happening today -- if you
