flamingo. you can see the truck and the vehicle. at last check he was in serious condition. we're getting new details about a shootout in georgia... that killed a sheriff's deputy and has another officer fighting to survive right now. investigators say the deputies were responding to a call from two people who said they were confronted by an armed man. as soon as the officer's got to the alleged suspect's home a (j.t. ricketson, gbi special agent ) "they get out. they walk maybe 10, 15 yards or so. and they came under fire. they were both struck and they went down right there." the deputies shot back, hitting the man once in the stomach. right now, authorities don't believe this was a deliberate "targeting of police officers"... but they are still searching for a motive. and... police in utah are also mourning the loss of a fellow officer, who was trying to stop

this happened in a suburb near salt lake city early yesterday morning. investigators say the officer was responding to a call about a suspicous car and a police chase happened. police have three suspects detained for questioning. difficult terrain and extremely dry conditions continue to fuel a wildfire in tennesse that's been burning since last week. crews say they suspect the start of the fire to be arson rather than the dry conditions. fire crews say they fee contained. the fire has burned more than 14 hundred acres. fire departments from three different counties are working to make sure the fire does not endanger people living in the area. happening right now -- iraqi kurdish forces are making one of the biggest moves to take back the city of mosul from isis. speaking to an associated press team travelling with iraqi kurdish forces, one of the generals said the fighters "are
