"the best days are still ahead of us." president obama gave a similar.. gracious speech today.. saying all americans should unite behind the goal of a successful trump presidency. "we have to remember we are actually all on one team. this is an intramural scrimmage. we're not democrats first. we're not republicans first. we are americans first."

smooth transition of power.. and invited the president-elect to the white house tomorrow to being that process. president obama also said he was encouraged by the conversation he had with trump this morning.. and hopes trump continues in that spirit. the stock markets have been on a wild ride since the election returns started coming-in last night. as t turn in trump's favor.. the dow futures began to plunge before bottoming-out.. by almost 900 points. analysts say those fears were eased during trump's victory speech when he suggested he'll focus quickly on policies to help the u-s economy. that sparked a huge rally. the dow finished today's session up 257 points. nasdaq and the s&p were also up more than 1%. parents and teachers are fighting back.
