this parade does go on until noon. mk-- 13an. and.. around the country on this veterans day.... americans are payig the more than 18 million military veterans. this morning.. president barack obama is honoring members of the armed forces at arlington national cemetery. he laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknowns. texas has one of the highest number of vets in the u-s. students and staff at one high school have been working for months on a "thank you" celebration.... sot army infantry veteran eugene francis: "there are no words. as the program went on i felt better and better. i felt warm inside."

donald trump's past comments about women are making his job more difficult... he made the comments yesterday saying trump's comments could make the n-f-l's attempts to curb domestic violence more difficult. but he didn't elaborate. goodell also says the election cycle is challenging on his home life. he says he is struggling to explain trump's victory to his wife and twin daughters....but does say the best path for the country is to unite under trump.

a six-year-old boy stuck in a well in northern china since sunday has been found dead. local media reports rescue crews found the boy's body after almost five days of searching . the boy fell down the abandoned well sunday morning while helping his father harvest vegetables. at one point, more than 500 rescuers were at the scene. the time is x:xx coming up later in the show... a northern california mom why police are ruling out her husband as a suspect - and the latest evidence... a mother defending herself and her young son from a terrifying attack by a neighbor's dog... the heartbreaking story...still ahead....

you see the woman holding her they run to the front door but the dogs won't stop biting the woman's arm. the mom does her best to protect him. one woman rushes in to help-- but the dogs are too strong. it isn't until another man jumps in and grabs the dogs.. that the mom and boy finally get inside. spenser bishop husband/father of dog attack victims "the people that did help, i really appreciate them and very thankful they were there.

and oxygen canisters inside the suspects car. they think he was planning to use those as explosives. a metro officer is recovering after being hit by a car while chasing after a suspect. police were trying to take a man into custody at the manor suites near las vegas boulevard and warm springs. he ran cross the street, and the officers followed him. a car stopped so it wouldn't hit them... but the car behind did not. it rear-ended the stopped car... causing it to hit one of the cops. the officer was taken to umc, police were able to arrest the man they were chasing. a 7-year-old girl is in the hospital right now...after being hit by a school bus. a viewer sent us this video of the little girl being loaded into an ambulance. this was taken just moments after the accident, near cactus and jones. we spoke with one little boy who jumped into action to try and help out first responders. "i ran to my house and i got my yearbook and i showed them her name and her picture."

students from ries elementary on the bus at the time. none were hurt. the little girl is expected to survive. here at home.... an armed robber terrorizing an armed robber terrorizing businesses in a north las vegas community.... but now police are telling us this might be the same man who was killed while trying to rob inside the 7-eleven near cheyenne and inside the 7-eleven near cheyenne and civic center. investigao believe the man may have been responsible for a recent series of robberies in the area. one business owner says her store was robbed just hours before the fatal encounter at 7-eleven. she gave us this video of the suspect, pointing a gun at her brother... demanding cash. and she isn't the only one who thinks they were hit by this man. it was affecting businesses around the area, making people feel scared (butted with) i don't like somebody get killed but i feel some comfort about it now north las vegas police have not

surveillance videos is the man who was killed at the 7-eleven but they are still investigating. a former mccarran airport employee is spending the next 30-months on probation for stealing mail. martin lio junior admitted he would take envelopes, and then look for gift cards or cash being loaded onto airplanes... and steal them. investigators say this happened between last december through the end of february. if you think you might have had some mail stolen you can call the number on your screen-- or the new yorker magazine is getting a lot of attention this morning... for it's controversial cover. take a look... editors just released this image of what next week's cover will look like. you can see, it shows a brick wall. this is in response to donald trump's election win... and proposal to build a wall along the u-s mexico border. the article inside the magazine goes on to criticize trump's rhetoric. this cover is of course being slammed as one sided--- by

this happen i first met staff sgt joey jones during the filming of my new docuseries religion of sports and was instantly struck by his inspiring spirit joey jones: when i got to afghanistan in 2010, i was a part of what would be the deadliest deployment in-- in our job field's history. one of the most dangerous jobs in the world - jones was a bomb tech - tasked to disarm explosives nat sot afghanistan 2 clip - i got wires, hey back up until the day he stepped on an ied (nats of explosive) joey jones it's anything. the cloud of dust is so thick you just see the color tan. when i landed on my back, i knew what'd happened // my immediate reaction was to look down, see how much of my legs were left nats jones lost both of his legs that day more than 2 dozen surgeries followed along with months of grueling physical therapy michael strahan: how did you get over all this trauma? joey jones: i think instead of getting over it, you learn to appreciate the things-- outside of it.

(nats) a cheering crowd gathers... as this 9 pound female bald eagle--- is rescued from inside this storm drain. exciting because you know thats an amazing animal, that's our bird, thats our countries bird, we need to keep it safe." wildlife experts say it started as a territory fight in the air---the two eagles falling to the ground, getting stuck in fight all the time, it's probably female. i didn't see yet but it doesn't really matter, males females, they all fight." at first one bird was spotted on top of the other with it's wings spread.
