he'll be released -- under supervision -- while prosecutors appeal his homicide conviction being overturned. dassey has been in prison since 2007 -- following the murder of teresa halbach. happening right now -- fire crews are using choppers to gain control of a fast-moving brush fire north of los angeles. it started early this morning in the angeles national forest. northeast of downtown los angeles. the fire started out as a quarter- acre brush fire, but quickly spread to at least five acres in about 90 minutes. no injuries or evacuations have been reported. over 40 wildfires are also burning in the southeast scorching over 70 thousand acres. hundreds of families have been forcedto leave their homes, stretching over eight states. some of the fires are said to be intentionally set. arson investigators have arrested three people, and they

have been getting ahead of them. :20the fire picked up and ran so hard so fast that it literally beat us to the punch when it comes time to light it off. we just didn't see that coming. so far there are no reports of injuries or how many homes have been destroyed. right now.. we're getting new images out of new zealand, where they're dealing with more aftershocks today. you can see some of the homes damaged by this weekend's magnitude 7-point earthquake. two people died. you can also see a lot of road damage and rock slides. today military choppers are working to reach hundreds of tourists in a town that's been cut-off by landslides. damage estimates are already in the billions of dollars. there appears to be a growing trend -- people across the country are packing up and taking their lives on the road. instead of pouring money into rent or a mortgage, they're turning vans, campers, even box
