still trying to figure out what caused a fire that killed one person in laughlin. it broke out inside an apartment yesterday on needles highway near bilbray parkway. we are working to get the victim's identity. a valley woman lives through a terrifying attack... she woke up in the middle of the night to find a stranger in her home. police say this man, phillip white, a registered sex-offender climbed through the woman's window last week and attacked and robbed her.

inside the crime scene on north 10th near stewart. friends say the suspect pushed a patio table up against a back wall, climbed up and managed to open the sliding window. "i just can't imagine what i would feel if it happened to me, i probably would die." we've learned white recently lived in an apartment directly across from the victim. another neighbor says he tried to break into his home as well. white is behind bars facing charges including burglary and attempted sexual assault. new this morning, video is anti-donald trump protester getting shoved down a flight of stairs. 0:00 "you don't have to compromise.." 0:05 this happened last night at ohio state university... punches started flying shortly after the incident. the man responsible was eventually taken away by police. we're told the student who was shoved wasn't seriously injured in the attack. the unviersity's president condemned the attack says threats to students won't be

police say the victim was driving on interstate-five when another driver pulled up next to him, pulled out a gun and fired once at the windshield. the driver pulled over and called 9-1-1. his condition isn't known right now. the suspect is still on the run. a 13 action news upda north las vegas fire captain who died in the line of duty last month. autopsy results reveal yaphet miller had heart and vascular diseases and died from lack of oxygen. the 43-year-old become ill while fighting a fire at a shopping center off rancho near washington in september. miller died nearly two weeks later. he was a 22-year veteran. we're learning more about the man who police say shot his young daughter in the chest. zachary cory's arrest report reveals he told officer that he and his daughter were in his

facebook page. police say trisha meyer had several exotic animals at her home, roaming freely near her teenage daughter. according to investigators she brought the animals from texas illegally. turns out, she had a felony arrest warrant out of that state. houston police say she was picked- up after she tried to sell an exotic kitten.. but didn't turn the animal over to the buyer after receiving the money. it's one of the mosty widely-known resorts in las is celebrating its 15th anniversary. the resort gained popularity after mtv's "the real world" was filmed there. the network also hosted the v-m-a's at the palms back in 2005. dozens of t-v shows have also been filmed at the resort over the years. for locals--the casino has become a popular spot for slot play. earlier this year, station casions purchased the palms which will usher in a new chapter for the hotel. the taco bell cantina is now open on the las vegas strip.

metro says one of the men is robbing stores at gunpoint, while anoteher serves as a getaway driver. in all, the men are accused in six robberies between last tuesday and saturday. police say businesses on the east and south sides of town have been targeted. v parent is the one who tipped off police about a del sol high school employee..accused of having sex with a minor. according to an arrest report, a girl's father called police after she confessed to having sex with ati poni. the suspect was one of her coaches and a family friend. the report says poni pulled the girl out of class several times. he's behind bars facing several charges including sexual assault. uber will officially launch "uber pool" in las vegas today.

allows riders heading the same direction to share a car and the cost. the company says rides are cheaper this way..and the idea cuts down congestion on city streets. "uber pool" will be available all over the las vegas valley. a big announcement on 'hyperloop-one' which is being developed in north las vegas. it now appears the first track could be built in dubai. one of the routes being considered is between dubai and abu dhabi. hyperloop developers say it would take only 12 minutes to travel over 100-miles. track running by 2021. stores-v new this morning, "kenneth cole" has announced they're closing nearly all of their stores. the retailer has 63 stores across the country, including three here in las vegas. it's not clear if the stores in our city will shut down. kenneth cole plans on keeping two stores open. the company says they'll continue to sell items through other retailers and online. in healthy living this morning,

after their school bus crashed this morning in norfolk... here's a look at that crash from our affiliate there... students on the bus were going to school when this happened... all students were taken to the hospital as a precaution...for minor injuries. a terrifying scene playing out in houston texas...and it was all caught on camera! police say a driver jumped fr afternoon...you can see the man on the ground. officers say the driver did survive but have no released details on his injuries or what sparked the fire a georgia dad has been found guilty of all charges in the death of his 22-month-old son. now justin ross harris could spend the rest of his life in prison for leaving his son in a hot car...
