involved in the shooting. we are just learning that extra patrols have been added to the area for protection of teh three people are recovering this morning-- after a car crashes through the wall -- of a burlington coat factory. this was near eastern and tropicana. police say -- a woman went to park in a handicap spot... but then accidently hit the gas... plowing into the store. an employee was pinned between the van and the cash register. she wen expected to be okay. two other people invovlved in the crash have minor scrapes and bruises. police say the driver is cooperating with officers. a suspected shooter on the run. and right now -- metro police and nye county sheriff's deputies are asking for your help to find him! take a good look at this man. his name is jack freeland allen. deputies say -- he shot a man at a bar in pahrump. then he took off in a red chevy

it to 13investigates@ktnv.c om. this morning -- four people are looking for a new place to live after a fire destroys their home. las vegas fire and rescue just sending us these images of the aftermath. the fire broke out at a two-story condo on west lake mead boulevard near jones last night. firefighters say the flames broke out in the kitchen and that a grease fire is to blame. the damage is estimated -- at 50- thousand dollars. now to an update on a house first that we brought to you fast and first right here on 13 action news a family was able to escape this devastating two-story house fire, that ended up engulfing most of their home. investigators are now saying it was most likely an electrical issue that caused it. it happened near saint rose and eastern. heavy flames shot out of the garage setting the cars in the driveway on fire,

and the timing of a new court ruling couldn't be at a worse time for some people. a new law would have given overtime to some 4-million people starting next week. but now --it's on-hold. kumasi aaron -- is looking into why -- and what's next. --pkg full=-- --kumasi aaron / @kumasinews-- the new rule would require employers to pay overtime to salaried administrative or professional workers who make around 47-thousand dollars or less a year. it was supposed to take effect next thursday, december 1-st. --take vo:-- but states challenged the overtime expansion, and a u-s district court in texas granted a nationwide preliminary injunction, saying the department of labor rule exceeds its authority. businesses across the country have been making changes these last few months anticipating the new rule. we asked an employment attorney what this means now: --benjamin hase (hasa) / mountain states employers council-- 17:16:03-43 "some businesses have already bumped people up to the new salary levels and so far as those businesses may be considering bringing those people back down i certainly would not advise

sad news out of the entertainment world.. actor ron glass has passed away. glass is best known for his role as detective ron harrison on the police sitcom barney miller. his agent describes him as a private ...gentle ...and caring man who was an absolute delight to watch on screen. the actor passed friday night of heart failure. ron glass was 71. get a look at this blast from the past. this is florence henderson performing at the sands hotel henderson died of heart failure thursday night in los angeles. in the wake of police and community tension that continues to sweep the country it is tough to imagine representatives from each side... could find common ground. but a protester and self proclaimed gang member... not only see eye to eye, they refer to one another as friends.

all the time in her dirty dining reports.. and it's what you're about to see right no leticia's cocina near farm and tule springs looks lovely. but the popular, upscale mexican restaurant known for its freshly made food got stung by a 32-demerit c grade... including food that was not so fresh. 9:58 darcy: they noted that a lot of stuff was held past its seven-day shelf life, so technically expired tamales, birria, beef, cauliflower. expired food always makes people cringe.

training and all our staff now knows whether it's seven days or not, it goes. inspectors also found a fly swatter on a food storage shelf and clean equipment stored in dirty containers. 13:46 leticia: the staff is just kind of getting a little too complacent and it's my job. the biggest problem at leticia's was food at unsafe temperatures including crab, sour cream, ceviche, tamales, guacamole, vegetables, shrimp and corn. 9:24 leticia: we closed. she says the walk-in cooler went down. you can see it empty in this picture, save for some food debris on walls and shelves. when inspectors arrived, it was filled with uncovered food subject to contamination. 12:08 leticia: obviously the lids weren't there and pico de gallo they had just made it and they wanted to cool it and unfortunately, we missed that part. they also missed a kitchen fundamental. 10:59 d: they noted improper handwashing. that's one of the basic things

stay we are continuing to follow what is going on in cuba and in florida following the death of communist leader fidel castro. he led the island nation for almost 50 years, but now with him gone, many are asking, what will the relationship be like between the u-s and cuba? rafael romo is in havanna with the story. fidel castro knew his days were dwindling telling cuban communists before his 90th birthday this year, "soon i after a near-fatal illness in 2008, castro turned the reins of power to his younger brother raul. and as cuba's new president began taking tentative steps toward reform, the u-s began to ease its restrictions. but fidel castro was suspicious, writing in january 2015 that although he doesn't "trust u.s. policies and have not exchanged a word with them, this does not mean however that i would

conflicts or threats of war." in september last year, fidel met with pope francis. they talked about common problems of humanity. but the pope had once condemned what he called cuba's authoritarian and corrupt regime. in march this year american president barack obama visited cuba seven months after the two countries re-established diplomatic relations. he met with raul castro, but not fidel. at his 90th birthday party in august this year, a frail fidel named for karl marx and was shown in occasional photos with foreign leaders. fidel castro came to power as a revolutionary inspired by marx. but as he died, fidel castro was watching his revolution change in a way that was beyond his control. cuban state television announced -- the country will hold 9 days of mourning. during this time all public activities will cease.

then there are those -- who are mourning castro's death. venezuelan president -- nicolas madura -- is honoring the former cuban leader -- declaring three days of mourning -- in venezuela. the cost of securing the president, and his family, may sky- rocket with the next administration. that's because the white house may not be the only place the secret service will have to protect around the clock. rachel crane explains. asked about the timing of their move trump said this: (donald trump/president- elect) " very soon, right after he is finished with school." regardless of when they relocate, the command post at trump tower won't be cheap. the going price for the space? around 1.5 million dollars per year. the price tag is striking but it's not just the cost that's raising eyebrows. the trump organization owns trump tower, so tax payers would be paying the president officials tell cnn security plans are still evolving since many things are still up in the air, like when the future first family will move to the white house, and how often the president elect plans to visit them in the meantime. that was rachel crane reporting. a separate law enforcement official says the number of n-y-p-d cops protecting trump tower could grow to 300 at a cost of about one million dollars a day.
