campus security... 13 action news anchor... lesley marin... joins us live from u-n-l-v... with more.... on what the school is doing... lesley... you've probably walked on unlv and seen these emergency systems. press them and you get help. but today university police took safety a step further adding half dozen extra officers. i sat down with unlv police chief jose elique. he says the attack at ohio always be prepared. aside from extra officers-- the school checked their alert system and reviewed emergency plans today. chief elique also said many classroom have electric locks-- which teachers can activate inside their classroom in case of emergency. elique wants student to also be vigilant around campus right now. you know that saying if you see something say something that we try to stress all the time but

starting at 9 tonight between the airport exit and warm springs. no closures are scheduled for the 215 west. drivers will be able to get to mccarran.. but if you're not going to the airport.. you should exit before warm springs. those lanes are scheduled to reopen at 5am. and starting tonight -- n-dot will make nightly lane restrictions along the 15 in both directions between craig and speedway boulevard. lanes will close at 9 p-m and reopen at 5 a-m sunday through december 9th. restrictions are part of a widening project -- to change the 5-mile stretch of highway from 4 to 6 lanes. the chilly weather will continue as one storm system makes an exit and another pushes into the area. northern parts of the valley will continue to see breezy winds tonight as the current system starts to make its slow breezy winds tonight as the current system starts to make its slow push to the east.
