the danger hasn't completely melted away on many roadways. ice is going to be the big concern tonight. amanda ketchledge is live at the intersection of -- longley and double r -- with a look at conditions out on roads. amanda-- landon-- the snow continues to melt on the roads and that's causing slush and icy to build up on pavement at this intersection. i talked to a couple of commuters this afternoon who plan on taking it slow and being cautious as the sun goes down...because many roads like this one will refreeze overnight. tiffany londay, incline village : "it doesn't make a huge amount of difference on the highway, in terms of when you leave right after work or you wait until the sun's already gone down. you sort of just have to always be alert." angeleana wood, commuter: "it's going to ice over, i'm pretty sure. and waking up in the morning, having to go to school, the whole parking lot is just going to be ice." car tires breaking on ice expect roads like this in the shade or in residential areas to ice over tonight. the best advice is always to

possible, and that's exactly what dennis johnson did today. the streets in his neighborhood are covered with slush and ice from the storm. and he expects it to get even worse as the temperatures drop. dennis johnson, reno: "i have chosen to stay off the roads today, since i didn't have to go anywhere. it will freeze up again, it will be real icy come morning." plows and de-icing has been very effective on most of the major roadways. so it's going to be these side streets and residential areas that will still see some icy spots...be aware. covering storm watch, amanda ketchledge, channel 2 news. but it's not just the evening commute that drivers have had to worry about. the drive into work this morning was very slick and dangerous. ryan canaday was on the roads this morning... where he found car accident after car accident - around just about every corner. traveling into work was anything but easy for drivers this morning. rebecca evans-"i've seen everybody going about ten miles per hour." but the extra precaution wasn't always enough..as the ice and snow still caused several accidents all across town. damien lee-"cars are sliding all over the place, you know i saw two accidents coming over from damonte ranch." and it wasn't just south reno that emergency crews were responding to. accidents near the spaghetti bowl, in sparks and north reno created some major backups as well. destiny pike-"i live in sparks and it took me about 45 minutes just to get here." as much of a headache as it was for drivers just to get to work this morning, the aftermath of yesterday's storm is also affecting those who are trying to travel away from town. rebecca evans-"i'm scheduled to go to india this morning but i'm flying out of san francisco and i was just going to take the mega bus which is a real nice option but i saw on the news last night there was a 29 car pile up on the exact same route i would be going" evans is referring to a pileup that closed east and westbound traffic on interstate 80 at california state line for three hours last night. it's because of accidents like these, and the delays this

"i'm a bernie supporter so i'm hoping it goes that way." "trump is my number one choice because he's funding everything himself." but others came with an open mind. "i want to have an opportunity to really hear from me in the

craig: once tonight's votes are cast, caucus officials will use an app to submit the results. the parties are trying to avoid human error. in 2012 the gop got it wrong on election night. trump: "it's crunch time." a win for donald trump would establish him as the republican frontrunner. ted cruz has been working hard to try to stop trump's momentum.. sen. ted cruz: "if we stand together, we can do it again - and we can restore that last, best hope for mankind." hillary clinton is looking for her first win in iowa. she came in third here in 2008. hillary clinton: "i'm so excited about tonight. i'm feeling so energized because of all of you." polls show her in a virtual tie with bernie sanders. he spoke with cbs's nancy cordes. sen. bernie sanders: "if there's a large turnout i think we're going to do very well, if not, then we'll be struggling." as for the rest of the candidates, political experts say not to be surprised if one or more drop out by morning. .
