welcome back... a woman was driving with her three year old in the backseat. they were rear-ended on a freeway, and her seatbelt locked up as smoke was filling the car! john potter shows us how this mom got herself...and her child...out of the s-u-v. zarabi: "i got rear ended and my car locked up." it was on this stretch of the 101 in sherman oaks california, where makize zarabi says she was trapped in her suv... right in the middle of traffic.

smoke filled into my car and my son was in the backseat." she says her first thought was her 3 year old... and she started to panic. zarabi: "i saw all the smoke and i couldn't get out, i tried unclicking the button and it wouldn't work. and i realized the one tool that i have i can finally use it." six years ago makize says she bought this seat belt cutter... a plastic device with a blade along one edge, which she kept in her side compartment. so she grabbed it. zarabi: "cut myself out of my seatbelt and then jumped into the backseat." she then cut out her son... whose carseat belt had locked as well. within minutes, both were out. zarabi: "this 7 dollar tool that i had bought saved my son and i." now makize is hoping to spread the word about the importance of keeping a device like this in everyone's car, and posted it on facebook. makize suffered a back injury from the crash but says she and her son are lucky to be alive... and hopes her story

blockage and a heart attack and i had a stent put in." scad - or spontaneous coronary artery dissection - puts lori in the 20-percent of people who cannot prevent a heart attack with healthy habits. it certainly wasn't on her radar. but her message for everyone else?
