one official says the justice didn't feel well when he went to bed. when he didn't show up for breakfast this morning, someone went to check on him and found scalia unresponsive. the u-s marshals are conducting investigation at the scene. chief justice john roberts released a statement on behalf of the supreme court justices. -quote- "on behalf of the court and retired justices, i am saddened to report that our colleague justice antonin scalia has passed away. he was an extraordinary individual and jurist, admired and treasured by his colleagues. his passing is a great loss to the court and the country he so loyally served. we extend our deepest condolences to his wife maureen and his family." end quote. meanwhile, politicians have been reacting to scalia's death with their own statements. on twitter, presidential candidates offered their thoughts. donald trump said "the totally unexpected loss of supreme court justice antonin scalia is a massive setback for the

his series of campaign stops throughout reno ryan where did the senator speak? jen.. one of bernie's stops today was at the university of nevada in front of a packed lecture hall at an event called real solutions for real people. he discussed the importance of creating an economy that works for working families and his planned investment in jobs for young people. "applause" bernie sanders-"our job is to create a political revolution in which millions of people stand together." a handful of those people stood together today asking questions to both bernie sanders and senator cory booker who was there on behalf of hillary clinton. the questions ranged from their views toward ownershipp of public lands, to their support toward indigenous people. when we focus our financial resources from the federal government, they have got to go into those communities who need it the most and as often as not,

but this was only one of a few stops for senator sanders today. he also spoke to a group of solar power activists..showing his support for sustainable energy. pope francis is spending his first full day in mexico-- where thousands lined the streets to get a glimpse of the holy father. adriana diaz has more from mexico city. pope francis emerged saturday morning, to the roar of thousands. bells tolled as he rode on his pope mobile through mexico city. the holy father stopped time and time again to bless the sick and kiss babies. lila aldana and her mother traveled all the way from guatemala to see him on her mother's birthday.
