"its hard to do, people are intimidated by those white coats and nurses uniforms but you can be saving your life by asking them to do that." also doctors should wipe their stethescopes in between patients. research shows wiping down surfaces around the hospital bed can reduce some infections by as much as 80 percent. other steps patients can take: choose a hospital and surgeon with low
