the g-o-p frontrunner campaigned at the nugget in sparks today. most polls show donald trump with a large lead in nevada -- some by more than 25 points. paul nelson was at today's rally and joins us live in the studio -- paul.l. kristen -- trump talked a lot about national issues like immigration, the economy, and terrorism. but he really stayed away from issues unique to the silver state. still, his overall message seemed to resonate with his supporters -- heading into tonight's caucus. trump "like at 5:30, today, you know where you're gonna be, right?" donald trump was center-stage at the nugget. and after encouraging people to get out to vote, it didn't take long for the g-o-p frontrunner to go after one of his rivals. trump "i've met some much tougher people than ted cruz. he's like a baby compared to some of the people i have to deal with. he is like a little baby. soft, weak little baby by comparison, but for lying he's the best i've ever seen." trump emphasized his experience as a businessman -- talking

trade, jobs and taxes. trump "we're gonna make our business stronger, better than ever. we're lowering taxes for businesses, big league. we pay the highest taxes in the world. i don't know if you know that." more than 3-thousand people were on-hand to listen to the presidential hopeful's speech, that included his pro-second amendment stance and preventing mass shootings like the one in paris. trump "if one of you characters were in that room and you had your gun around your ankle or along your waist, it would have been whole different story." he also re-enforced his position on illegal immigration and building a wall along the mexican border. despite that, he thinks he'll win the hispanic vote in nevada. trump "first of all, they're here legally and they don't want their jobs taken away from them, and second of all, and more importantly, they know i'm going to bring jobs in." trump says national defense, and providing proper equipment to the military is another high priority. trump "we're going to get the stuff we want. we're going to make our military so big and so

nobody is gonna mess with us." most of people in the crowd are trump supporters. others are undecided and came to see if he could gain their support. tracy "i can really see why there's this big movement for him. he had the biggest crowd today and i get it." mark "he's a doer. he's not a talker and that's proven by his reputation, what he's accomplished." trump did not attack marco rubio -- saying that's because rubio hasn't attacked him. meanwhile, he accused hillary clinton of committing crimes and says she does not have the strength or stamina to be president. covering campaign 20-16 live in the studio, paul nelson, channel 2 news. and texas senator ted cruz continued campaigning in the silver state today... with campaign stops in fernley... minden and carson city. he said... if elected... he will work to fight back against government agencies. sen. cruz: "we will take on the epa, and the blm and cfpb and the alphabet soup of federal agencies that have descended
