let's show you what we are talking about.. right now-- reno police are looking for two men in this car, who they say used it to flee from a home invasion earlier tonight in southwest reno. police responded to the 1400 block of foster drive --just before 5 p- m--to find an elderly man injured inside a home near reno high school. amanda ketchledge is live at that location. amanda, what are the latest details? the roads are back open for residents and traffic.... after police called off a potential stand off earlier. after discovering the suspects weren't inside the home, police have expanded their search in the area for two men, who they say are armed and dangerous. officer tim broadway, rpd: "reno police, swat, washoe county, k9 and raven and the surrounding area and they were unfortunately unable to locate the two suspects in this case."

elderly man injured by the suspects inside a home on this block of foster drive. the victim was treated for non- life threatening injuries at a local hospital. but now police are still on the lookout for two men. officer tim broadway, rpd: "we do believe that they are possibly armed." the suspects are described as possibly being two light-skinned black or hispanic men. one is approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build...the other is described at 5 '8 with a heavy build and a tattoo on one of his arms. and police believe they have been possibly connected to other burglaries in the area. officer tim broadway, rpd: "we have had residential burglaries in this area as well as the entire truckee meadows area. we do have that suspect vehicle that may be related to other residential burglaries in south reno." this older, white 2-door passenger car with a black stripe molding down the driver's side, a sunroof, and a spoiler on the rear trunk is being sought after by police to see if it's related to this case. officer tim broadway, rpd: "in the hopes to identify the owners of this vehicle, to eliminate

to close some of the cases that we have that are related to that vehicle." this is an active case so police say if you have any information, you're asked to call law enforcement so police can get these suspects into custody. amanda ketchledge, channel 2 news. thanks amanda. also in crime beat tonight.. multiple vehicle burglaries in sun valley late last night have led to two arrests by the washoe county sheriff's office. deputies arrested 18- year-old ryan cortaland brogan and a female minor.. who they say burglarized at least four cars yesterday. residents reported suspicious activity in the area of tornado drive and thorn berry court in sun valley-- a move deputies say helped lead to the arrests. deputy jeff mccaskill, washoe county sheriff's office: "in this instance, we had some great advantages to help us put two people behind bars. and that was alert citizens in the community. even in the middle of the night, they saw something suspicious,

the white house and the governor's office both declined to confirm the story today... sandoval's office released this statement... saying quote: "neither governor sandoval nor his staff has been contacted by or talked to the obama administration regarding any potential vetting for the vacancy on the u.s. supreme court." however-- we do know that the governor met with senator harry reid in washington on monday. senator reid says... although he would prefer a more progressive nominee, he would support a sandoval nomination. reid: "he's a good person. he has a great record, and he's been a tremendously good governor in spite of having to deal with some very big problems there." president obama has said he's looking for a nominee with "impeccable legal credentials." and he hopes senate leadership will reconsider its position on blocking a hearing. you may recall that governor sandoval served as a judge for the u-s district court before he was elected governor. in campaign 2016.. the dust is settling after donald trump's

but disorganization with both the nevada democratic and republican caucuses has some voters wanting to go back to a primary system instead. but just what's the difference? well, a primary is run and paid for by the state. it's where you just go in and cast your own vote.. and it's what we did up until 2008. but nevada's primary election is in june-- which gave us no say in selecting the presidential nominee. so senator harry reid lobbied the national democratic party on our behalf.. and republicans followed suit. herzik:"reid got nevada on the list of early states in the nominating process. with him gone.. there's nobody in the state with that kind of clout to keep us there if the parties decide to move away from it." going back to a presidential-only primary in february-- in addition to our regular primary in june-- would take a referendum - and support of the legislature.

candidate visits we've seen this cycle.. and push us back to june to vote. as the republican candidates look ahead to super tuesday, the democrats are still focused on south carolina . hillary clinton attended a luncheon at south carolina's oldest black sorority alpha kappa alpha this afternoon. meanwhile senator bernie sanders spoke in columbia-- and criticized clinton for supporting the welfare reform bill her husband signed in 1996. sen. bernie sanders/ presidential candidate:"i spoke out against so-called welfare reform because i thought it was scapegoating people who were helpless, people who were very, very vulnerable. secretary clinton at that time had a very different position on welfare reform, strongly supported it." sanders says his campaign has closed the gap with clinton in the palmetto state and they are not writing it off. and today hillary clinton picked

disabilities. some are confined to wheelchairs -- while others need canes to get around. but none of that matters when they're out here. daniel "you get to go out and do things that you didn't think you would be able to do again. it's nice to be able to go out and part of this group. they get to ride the snowmobiles through the tahoe wilderness and enjoy some of the best views in the area." santosha "it looks like a postcard." santosha "it's beautiful. yeah, absolutely. we have to take more pictures." santosha litzenberg is here with her husband, daniel. the marine corps veteran needs a wheelchair because of multiple sclerosis. and being around others with similar disabilities has its advantages. daniel "you can talk about, like how are they dealing with their problems. what are the different tips that they've learned that have helped them to be able to go through life." that's why several tahoe businesses and organizations put this tour together every year. achieve tahoe is a group that encourages anyone with disabilities to get outside and be active. michael "for those with disabilities, there's a lot of extra challenge that keeps them from

looking around the nation.. today ammon bundy and 15 other defendants pleaded not guilty to a federal conspiracy charge - related to the armed takeover of that oregon wildlife refuge. an april 29th trial date was set-- but assistant u.s. attorney ethan knight says a superseding indictment with additional charges is likely. defense lawyers and their investigators plan to visit the refuge tomorrow. it will be their first look at the scene of the 41-day standoff. and there's a new chapter today in the ongoing legal saga of kennedy cousin michael skakel. prosecutors in connecticut are trying to get his murder conviction for the 1975 death of his teenage neighbor reinstated. skakel was convicted in 2002 of the decades-old murder of martha moxley. he had served more than 10 years in prison when a lower court threw out his conviction--

in health watch tonight.. a jury in st louis just awarded 72 million dollars to the family of a woman who claimed talcum powder caused her cancer. the verdict came against health products giant johnson & johnson and is the first of many of those cases. jacqueline fox used talcum powder products for feminine hygiene for decades before dying of ovarian cancer in 2013. the american cancer society says results of studies on a possible link between talcum powder or talc and ovarian cancer have been mixed: some reported a slightly increased risk, others, no increase at all. dr. daniel cramer of brigham and women's hospital in boston was an expert for the plaintiff. dr. cramer: i've done different case control studies of ovarian cancer. all of them have included information on talc, and all of them have found an
