the two republican presidential candidates vying for second place turned their sights on frontrunner donald trump.... who fired right back. rubio - "you're the only person on this stage who has ever been fined for hiring people to work on your projects illegally." trump - "no, no, i'm the only one on the stage who's hired people. you haven't hired anybody!" trump criticized ted cruz for having no support in the senate. trump not one senator is backing you...endorsement of none, ...you should be ashamed of yourself. cruz: if you want to be liked in washington, donald, that's not a good attribute for president. this was the last gop debate before super tuesday, and depending on the outcome of those contests -- possibly the last time all five candidates shared the stage. the lower-polling candidates took less contentious positions... ben carson on immigration: "real compassion is proving people with a ladder of opportunity." ...and john kasich on religious liberty versus same-sex marriage: "if you're in the business of

if you don't agree with their lifestyle, say a prayer for them when they leave." all five candidates vowed to repeal obamacare....but none provided specifics for an alternative. omar villafranca, channel 2 news. the candidates were also asked why they hadn't released their tax returns. trump said he's being audited by the i-r-s. both cruz and rubio said they're release theirs in the next two days. the number of voters registered as non-partisan is growing three times faster than registration in the two main parties. and where they've been allowed to vote so far.. like in new hampshire.. they've been voting for donald trump. pundits have been caught off-guard and say even though no one knows exactly how he plans to accomplish change.. he is promising it. eric:"one reason so many independents...or non-partisans ...especially those who have registered recently....are just: i'm fed up with washington...i'm fed up with you guys...that's the visceral part of american

capturing it." there's no way to tell if that trend will continue into the general election. today a non-profit that supports people with disabilities in our community hosted a mock polling place to help those who are disabled practice how to vote ahead of the primary and general election. voting booths were set up at the boys and girls club to help people familiarize themselves with the voting process and to educate them about their rights while voting. organizers say voting is something that all people want to participate in, especially during a presidential election. lavonne brooks/president & ceo, hsi-warc: "it's an empowering thing that we wish to accomplish and it's really one of the privileges that we have as americans so we want them to have the richness of that experience." to learn more about voting rights for those with disabilities, call the nevada disability advocacy and law center at 888-349- 3843. today governor sandoval issued a

the white house he does not want to be considered for the a supreme court seat. the governor said he also notified senators reid... heller and mcconnell of his decision. in a statement he said in part quote: "the notion of being considered for a seat on the highest court in the land is beyond humbling and i am incredibly grateful to have been mentioned." end quote. yesterday c-b-s news confirmed the governor was being vetted for the position. new tonight in crime beat.. a manhunt is on in the bay area...for two more suspects wanted in the murder of a man in south lake tahoe last month.

age 40 was in tahoe with his girlfriend. an altercation occurred... and gunshots were fired and mr. wright succumbed to his injuries." this is the incident we've been following since the shooting death on january 30th.. at the beverly lodge in tahoe. it happened in the parking lot.. during a struggle after an apparent drug deal went bad. last week we reported the arrest of two vallejo men-- 18 year old tristan batten and 20 year old harvest davidson.. for their alalged roles in wright's murder. now, they are looking for these two: 24 year old domenic seanlee randolph.. and 26 year old dion jermaine randolph vaccaro the two men are considered armed and dangerous. if you happen to see either.. call 9-1-1 immediately. a jury in yerington is deliberating the fate of a silver springs man accused of abusing and murdering his girlfriend's son. today prosecutors and defense attorneys presented closing arguments. that cody wallace intentionally inflicted child abuse on tom tom, you can't find felony murder." "these injures are too widespread, too massive, too serious to happen from a normal fall." cody wallace was arrested in 2010 and charged in connection with the death of thomas o'connell 'the fourth' in november of that year. and sparks police are looking for two suspects they say stole an s-u-v yesterday. the theft happened at greg street and spice island drive.. around 4-30 p-m. the victim told police she was hit from behind by another car. she got out to check the damage, and when she turned around a man was in her s-u-v. he then demanded money and took off in her vehicle. the suspect is a white man in his 30s.. with a bald head and tattoos near his left ear and on both arms.

turning to school watch now... doctors will be able to get some relief from the growing demand of patients....with a new local, medical program certifying physician assistants. that's right...starting next year, the university of nevada school of medicine will be offering a p-a masters program to train the next generation of health professionals. the new program will start in the summer of 20-17 to prepare graduates for work under the supervision of a doctor in the future. amanda ketchledge has more. 36-41 25-29 1:21-!;24 trt1:28 blood pressure

teach students in the classroom, laboratory, and in clinical rotations at the redfield campus in south reno next year. so future graduates can get hands on experience... gloves ....dealing with patients in family medicine, women's health, and general surgery....before becoming a physician assistant like ben hogan, who works at renown urgent care. ben hogan, physician assistant for renown: "we essentially are medicines." typing on computer only 24 students will be enrolled in the first 27 months of the program. brian lauf, director of pa program: "students from nevada, as well as out of state all wanting to know how they can apply to the program." these are the requirements you must have: a bachelor's degree a minimum 2.75 gpa and at least 2-thousand hours of paid, clinical experience brian lauf, the founding director of the new pa program says ultimately, this education will help the primary care need we have in our community. brian lauf, director of pa program: "adding qualified health professionals to meet that access need, will only benefit the entire population in

looking around the nation now.. some sad news to report out of kansas.. where a gunman opened fire inside a manufacturing plant tonight-- at least three people are dead.. and several others wounded. authorities say the shootings happened in and around excel industries-- a plant in the town of hesston that makes lawn mowers and other turf care products the suspected gunman, who police identified as as cedric ford.. an excel employee.. was later killed by authorities. police say there are at least four crime scenes, including the excel plant, the facility's parking lot and two roadway intersections. federal, state and local authorities are all
