happening overnight, an officer involved shooting at a man dead...and an officer injured. take a look at this map. the shooting happened at the silver springs nugget casino... at 12-80 lincoln highway around 8-30 last night. ky sisson is live there now with the latest. good morning ky, good morning john and andi. we're here at the silver springs nugget casino where the shooting happened. lyon county sheriff's office tells us there were 4 suspects involved in the shooting... one of those suspects is dead, the other in the hospital.. and the last two are in custody. a lyon county deputy is also being treated for a gun shot wound to his hand. here's where the whole thing

sparks police say the suspects stole a red chevy cruz at gun point... here at the 1000 block of el rancho drive... near paradise park. they say the person carjacked was not injured. sparks pd put out an alert to the lyon county sheriff about the stolen vehicle heading towards yerington. a deputy sheriff found the vehicle parked here at the nugget casino. the deputy attempted to make contact, one of the subjects pulled a gun and opened fire at the deputy. the deputy returned fire. killing one of the four subjects. take a listen... mcneil- "one of the suspect produced a gun and started firing at the deputy sheriff, and the deputy sheriff returned fire and at that point in time, one suspect is dead at the

the deputy involved in the shooting was shot in the hand. he was transported to renown for non-life threatening injuries and is going to be okay according to sheriff mcneil. nevada division of investigation is handling the criminal aspect of this investigation. carson city sheriff's office will be leading the death investigation of one of the subjects per protocol in an officer involved shooting. nobody has been identified yet. thanks ky... also in crime beat... a manhunt is on in the bay area...for two more suspects wanted in the murder of a man in south lake tahoe last month. "all we know is dennis wright, age 40 was in tahoe with his girlfriend. an altercation occurred... and gunshots were fired and mr. wright succumbed to his injuries." this is the shooting death we've been following since last month... at the beverly lodge in tahoe. it happened in the

workplace shooting in kansas. 4 people were killed and 14 others injured. shot by a man who opened fire inside a lawn mower products plant. sheriff t. walton/harvey county sheriff dept. "the shooter was actively firing on any target that came across his sights" it was another workplace shooting...an employee shot 17 people at excel industries shortly after 5 o-clock yesterday. the shooter, identified as 38- year-old cedric ford. before getting to the plant, investigators say he randomly shot at motorists... hitting 2. he was killed in a gunfight with the first officer who got to the scene. right now the a-t-f and f-b-i are working the investigation. and apple formally laid out its legal defense yesterday... against a court order forcing it to help the f-b-i unlock the i-phone of one of the san bernardino shooters. in its filing, apple says the f-b-i is quote... "seeking...a dangerous power" end quote.

welcome back. this morning in money watch...u-s lawmakers are accusing takata of faking test results to cover up their exploding airbag issue. the senate commerce, science and transportation committee cites internal documents from takata in the past 12 years. documents show - takata officials argued that the data on inflator quality and testing was manipulated to hide the problems. the airbags could explode - sending metal fragements flying - causing injury or death. another report shows senior officials arguing about violating their moral obligation to the public. the recall of defective air bags made by takata - now involves 14 vehicle manufacturers and millions of u.s. vehicles. did you hear...beijing replaced new york as the city with the world's most billionaires? the chinese capital city gained 32 billionaires last year for a total of 100, new york, which topped the list
