happening overnight...a shooting at the siris casino in downtown reno. ky sisson is live with the look at this map. led to one of the suspects this time. the suspect that fired the gun me. ky add libs. covering crime beat live, ky sisson, channel 2 news. thanks ky. the gymnasium of sparks high school was filled with family, friends, and colleagues of debbie smith yesterday... as hundreds came to pay their respects and to honor the late senator. state senator debbie smith passed away at the age of 60 last week, after a year-long fight with brain cancer. at her memorial service, hundreds of people had the opportunity to reflect on the impact she had on their lives... including her brother... bruce. bruce bilbrey--if you met her at the grocery store, of if you met her at the halls of the legislature, you got the same debbie, and that was good." debbie's colleagues in the legislature also spoke fondly of her, saying they looked up to

"here she is living with a life threatening issue and she is apologizing to me, selfless, that's what debbie was." her son ian and daughter erin also spoke... asking the room of crowded people to take the love that they had for debbie...and to share it with debbie's husband greg... saying he needs it now more than ever. "my mom spent the last year fighting this disgusting disease and my dad was there every moment, he would not leave her alone for a moment and he loved her and he took care of her and he's heroic." many people attending the memorial service wore gray, a lor used by advocates to raise awareness about brain cancer. truckee police finished their search for a second missing canoer at donner lake yesterday, and now they have recovered both bodies.

missing at around 5 p-m friday.. at the north-eastern corner of donner lake. their friends...who were all vacationing in the area... saw the canoe had capsized and called police. saturday, police pulled the body of 33-year-old joshua patterson of cool, california out of the water. at around noon yesterday, the body of 34-year-old lucas johnson of auburn, california was recovered. authorities tell us the men were apparantly not wearing life jackets when they went into the water. and everything is back to normal this morning... after an outage left over ten-thousand people without power last night. the outage was first reported at around 5-30 p-m in south reno. both residences and businesses-- like the raley's supermarket on wedge parkway, and the renown south meadows medical center-- were affected. n-v energy said the outage was caused by a catastrophic failure of a circuit breaker.

looking around the world now... the death toll from back-to-back bombings in baghdad yesterday, has risen to 73. isis militants claimed responsibility for the attack... which wounded hundred of others. the first bomb went off in a crowded market in the shiite distrcit of the city...and minutes later, a suicide bomber blew himself up in the crowd that had gathered after the attack. the bombings were the deadliest in a wave of recent explosions that have targeted commercial areas in and outside baghdad. looking around the nation now... an army staff sergeant is now facing murder charges... after police say he killed his wife and shot three police officers - killing one of them - in a washington, d-c suburb. a memorial was held last night for rookie officer ashley guindon... who was killed on her first day on patrol with the prince william county police

and two other officers were responding to a domestic dispute saturday night, about 30 miles outside of washington d-c. police arrested 32 year old ronald hamilton, an active duty army staff sergeant assigned to the pentagon. they say he shot and killed his wife then opened fire on police. the other officers are recovering in the hospital. hamilton is scheduled to be in court today. and space-x was forced to call off the launch of its falcon-nine rocket last night... it's third cancelled launch in recent days... although space-x says on its website the rocket and its payload are fine. the launch was aborted when a low-thrust alarm triggered a computer-commanded shutdown. space-x founder elon musk tweeted that "rising oxygen temps due to hold for boat and helium bubble triggered alarm." they don't know when they'll make a fourth attempt to launch

welcome back. this morning in money watch...the number of tax- payer data theives last year is seven times larger than originally thought. last may, the i-r-s said cyber criminals used a popular tool on their website to steal the tax forms of 104-thousand people. in august they revised that number up to 330-thousand. now the agency says the number is closer to 720-thousand. starting this week, the i-r-s will warn affected taxpayers about identity theft, and taxpayers will be offered free credit protection. the i-r-s says they've disabled the online document tool used to steal personal information. bees, birds, butterflies and beetles are among a growing list of pollinator species - in

according to a united nations study - thousands of species of pollinators that play a significant role in the world's food production - are at risk. the report finds about three- fourths of the world's food crops depend on pollination by insects and other animals factors causing species decline include loss of habitat, agricultural pesticide use, disease, and climate change. declines in wild pollinators have been noted in europe and north america. as of now, disneyland in california and walt disney world in florida come with demand-based pricing. the resorts are charging three different prices -- depending on the time of year for a single day park ticket. a pass at disneyland monday through thursday --when most schools are in session -- dropped to 95-dollars. a regular pass for most weekends
