in crime beat... reno police have a suspect in custody, after the shooting at a reno casino left one man dead. just before midnight sunday, reno police responded to shots fired inside siri's casino at 241 north virginia street in the heart of downtown reno. police identified the suspect, as 38 year old kiley grayson. he's been charged with open murder, and police say he did not run from the crime scene or resist arrest. the victim was an off duty employee of siri's casino. police tell us there was a physical and verbal dispute between the two men. when the victim tried to walk away... they say grayson pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chest. they haven't released the name of the man who was killed yet. and the squaw valley fire department has identified a woman who died after an accident at squaw valley over the weekend. firefighters responded to the

on saturday, on a report of an injured skier. there they found 62-year-old elizabeth danel of olympic valley. she was unconcious, and later passed away. while her exact cause of death is still being investigated, firefighters say she appears to have hit a tree. at sugar bowl ski resort, the body of a ski instructor who went missing last month has been found. 23-year-old carson may disappeared january 14th. that prompted a search that lasted for days, but had to be called off due to bad weather. his body was found by tahoe nordsic and el dorado county search and rescue yesterday morning... about a quarter mile out of bounds, in an avalance-prone area near the original search site. sugar bowl says their thoughts and prayers are with may's family, and that yesterday's discovery helps bring closure. let's check in with meteorologist jeff martinez for a first look at the weather. good morning, jeff!

when this went through the legislature. what they ended up getting was 50 percent local workforce on the job. we don't think that's enough." senate bill one from the 2014 special session requires tesla to hire half of its workers from nevada. but these workers argue... that there are nevada workers available... and tesla should up the percentage. we reached out to tesla for a response... and a spokesperson sent us a statement saying in part, quote... "in reality, more than 50% of the workers used by this contractor and more than 75% of the entire gigafactory workforce are nevada residents, demonstrating the project's strong commitment to nevada." end quote. the tesla spokesperson went on to say that tesla hires the best vendors and suppliers for the job, based on their quality, schedule, cost, reliability and reputation. a new study shows a majority of seniors take four or more prescription medications daily, and often experience challenges

"and asked me if honey who is, you know, she's been tracking deer with her for three years asked me if she would do anything. with honey's keen sense of smell and after hours of searching... the young boy was found safe in the woods. eli now has a new friend and a community to thank for his hasty return. they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but a there are a few dogs that beg to differ... four shelter dogs - rescued from slums and abandoned lots around sao paulo - were trained as "ball dogs" for the brazil open tournament. the four dogs - frida, mel, isabelle and costela - have one job and that's to retrieve balls that went out of bounds at an exhibition

looking around the nation... a federal judge ruled yesterday that the f-b-i cannot force apple to unlock an i-phone owned by a convicted drug dealer. the government had requested apple to break the phone's security to access the contact info of other suspected drug dealers. the judge ruled that the government can't make apple assist in the investigation against its will. the ruling gives support to apple's fight against a court order to unlock the i-phone of one of the san bernardino shooters. federal investigators have asked apple to break into 13 other phones across the country. the company has complied with similar requests from the government in at least 70-other cases. and nasa astronaut scott kelly is preparing to come back down to earth today... after almosts a year in space. kelly has been at the international space station longer than than any other u-s astronaut. his current mission has lasted 340 days. in his last briefing before heading home, kelly told reporters that he is feeling good.
