miller "so we're able to use the excess treatment capacity, produce more treated surface water, spread it throughout the distribution system, and put it back into 20 different sites across town." nelson "during times when tmwa needs to draw water from the aquifer, they come to this well and pump the water through this pipe, but during times like we have right now, when there's less demand and more surface water, they bring the water through this bypass and pump it right back down to the ground." miller "it's invaluable. it's just another asset of our water supply that we can rely upon during times of need." miller says in the last 20 years -- tmwa has never had to pump as much groundwater as it did last year because of the drought. miller "we maximize surface water use when we have it available, but in times of drought, like we had last year, we rely heavily on our groundwater." more than 300 gallons of water is pumped into the ground, every minute. miller "we're right at 310 gallons a minute, right now." the water treatment plant and distribution center is monitored 24 hours a day. these monitors show the maze of water mains throughout reno and sparks -- and these show the status of the wells.

doesn't reflect what nevada has to offer. so graphic design students are being challenged of create a new, friendly welcome sign for travelers. bethany drysdale, nevada department of tourism: "it could have gone to a professional graphic designer, it could have gone to a big firm or paying a lot of money for this. but what a great a way to get a student involved, to get a student to proudly say i did that. something they can put on their resume when they look for a job later." governor sandoval, along with the nevada departments of transportation, education and tourism have all teamed up to make this opportunity possible for students. three finalists from each region will be chosen and then it's up to the public to pick the winning design. right now there are 50 entry points where the new signs design would go up. bethany drysdale, nevada department of tourism : "it's really a way to get people to understand there is more out here than what they may think we hope these signs will create

health insurance or pay the fine. but this is the first year that the 1095 b or c forms have been sent by insurers or employers. there's confusion over it." wiberg: "the confusion is the 1095 b and c are not required forms to file your tax returns." but many think they do need them, and they're putting off filing 'til they get 'em. tax preparers say file without it. if you're part of the 85 percent who had coverage all year, just check the box on your return that says you had coverage. john: "for those who do face a fine for not having insurance, this office tells me that a lot of folks are asking if there's any kind of exemption from that fine." wiberg: "there are exemptions, but they do need to go online and find those exemptions and apply for those exemptions through the marketplace." there's also a new hardship exemption, which you're eligible for if you're... wiberg: "being threatened with foreclosure, or eviction...your power being out..." but for a lot of folks...many things are still the same. jeffries: "i'm sure its not just going to be a simple thing that, you know, everybody's going to

"you don't have to be a particularly sophisticated attacker to guess "password" is the password." once one device - like your router - is compromised, hackers can learn a lot about you. the wolf pack softball team is off to a 13-2 and a big reason for it has been the pitching of mckenna isenberg...today the junior picked up her first mountain west pitcher of the week honor. isenberg played the role of ace in the santa clara invitational going 2-0 with 19-strickeouts and a .93 era..... the pack will look to continue it's 11-game win streak at sacramento state's "hornet round robin" this weekend. and the wolf pack women's basketball team is getting ready to tip things off with boise state...it's senior night so they'll have a jersey ceremony for kelsey kaelin, julia shelbourn, and local products in reeds nyasha lesure and reno's
