pan onway after midnight. a half-hour later a store clerk was shot at a 7-eleven store. the third shiiteing was after 1:00 again and was again on ban onway. kraig debro just talked to a neighbor at the scene, so kraig, what do you find out? >> good morning, dave, police crime scene technicians are gathering evidence -- [ inaudible ] >> -- lined up in a row as if they are collecting them. you do see one guy out there taking pictures. police are trying to determine if these shootings are connected. we did speak to a neighbor. he said he heard six shots that sounded like cannons. >> my son came in to the back and said, dad, somebody got shot outside in the front and i didn't believe him. you know, at first. and then he said department you hear the screaming?

we heard screaming and crying. [ inaudible ] >> -- casually though. police say he is a 20-year-old antioch man. no further id was given. police say they got a call from neighbors about shots being fired around midnight. some neighbors call and said they heard fighting going as well. police arrived. they found knee 20-year-old man in the street. he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. police say two of the asile ants got out of the car before the shooting. >> witness statements indicate two people took off on foot. the vehicle took off around the same time. we suspect that the vehicle was trying to find them to pick up the suspects. >> reporter: about an hour later police say they got a call from a wit nays that four store. the witness reported hearing several gunshots prior to the men running out of the store. when police arrived they found a 64-year-old clerk had been shot at least twice. the wounds aren't life- threatening but police aren't sure why that happened. >> we are still trying to

determine the motive with the 7- eleven incident. at this point we don't have any information indicating that -- [ inaudible ] >> -- money release police are also trying to determine if these two shootings are related. police also have another mystery. a man showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound. the man admitted he had been to this scene but police don't know who shot him or why. reporting live in antioch, greg crab do, ig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. well, the food and drug administration says listeria bacteria was found in a south san francisco processing plant and now more than 60 products are being recalled. ktvu's jade hernandez joining us now. she has all the details about this recall and who needs to be especially careful here. good morning, jade. >> reporter: good morning. we are live in south san francisco, dave, and the california department of health says if you purchased a product with that label -- [ inaudible ] >> -- and company. today's recall includes prepackaged wraps, sandwiches, with a date of september 23rd of this year and prior. the sand wives and other food items have a sell by date of august third and prior. now the products may be contaminated by a dangerous bacteria, listeria, which causes symptoms such as fever, headaches and stomach pains. the bacteria can cause serious

police force. the chronicle is reporting police chief george gascon is now considering a controversial program that would allow civilian investigators to respond to nonviolent crimes like car breakins or burglars. that would free up police officers who focus on violent crimes and crimes in progress. this program is scheduled to started in january but it is facing strong opposition from san francisco's police union. >> 6:07 is the time right now. back over to sal to check in on any problems so far this morning. >> we are doing pretty well so far. westbound 24, westbound 80 and also the traffic on 680 doing well. there is a minor crash on 680 at 24 but is on the shoulder and not causing a big delay, just there and they are geting a tow truck out now. 24 as you can see looks good. let's go and take a look at northbound 101 san francisco, that traffic is okay up to the 80 split. no major problems there or on

fire investigators say five children and two adults were inside a one bedroom unit where the fire started and everyone made it out safely except for he little girl. she was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronobsed dead. >> it is really sad seeing that. i-- you know, my condolences to the family. >> the little girl was from durham, north carolina. she was visiting family. nine other members suffered minor injuries and six other families lost their homes. >> starting today residents of napa will get notices telling them to throw away any grapes grown on their property this year. napa county officials are trying to protected all of the grapes from the european grapevine moth. it invaded the county last year. agriculture experts say if you destroy small patches of grapes like the ones grown by amateur wine maybers, that will eliminate a major food source for the european grapevine moth, commercial grape growers, they are not effected by the

desk. >> fires are burning in california. cal fire says 15 fires are burping in the ross moat parts of the counties. now the fires began after storms and lightning came through the area saturday night. luckily no homes or buildings are threatened by the fires and so far there is no word of any injuries. in san francisco a group of gay clergy members has been welcomed into the nation's largest lutheran group after being banned for years. six were added, and a seventh was reinstated. last year they voted to lift a policy that required them to be celebrate. this is dramatic video from milwaukee. check this out. this is what you call a massive

verdict in the bart police shooting case -- [overlapping speakers] [ inaudible ] >> -- agencies, but it also brought unprecedented logistical problems -- [ inaudible ] >> -- stores. san francisco police continue to search this morning for one of the men involved in a shootout over the weekend. that happened early saturday morning when officers i trued to stop a car they believed had been carjacked but the driver with a passenger inside took off, leading officers on a chase. the car crash -- crashed on arkansas street, where police say one of the suspects started firing at officers. they fired back but no one was hit. now officers arrested one of the suspects. the other is still on the loose. >> time now 6:34. a bay area teenager apparently drown over the weekend while swimming in a popular fresno county lake. robert maldonado died yesterday at shaver lake about 50 miles

from fresno. he disappeared about 30 minutes after getting in the water. bystanders got him out but were not able to revive him. officials are waiting for that the autopsy to confirm how he died. >> police are urging people in concord to be on the alert after three pipe bombs were found at a park. it re-opened open saturday with extra officers on patrol. it was partially evacuated on friday after police say a man walking in the area discovered a pipe bomb, two other dwooses were discovered owned wednesday and all three were safely detonated. no arrests have been made and no suspects identified. this week transit riders can expect more delays because of an ongoing contract dispute. 200 drivers called in sick every day last week, that caused big delays for some, others were left stranded. workers are upset about a newly imposed contract. an arbitrator is set to meet with both sides on friday.

not by much. pretty good thunderstorm activity firing up over the sierra and northeast california. most of that should move off eastward but the fog is banked up and hugging the coast and says it looks it here. so 55 in san francisco. we will go 57 at 9:00, 58 at noon and a high of 59, that is way be low average no this time of year. so low clouds, cool and breezy. temperatures far below average. in fact, the record is 1963 or 73. but look at san jose 73, should be 85 so that is way be low, mountain view 70, 7 be low, santa rosa 70, should be 83 and even oakland 65 to 73 so the temperature pattern says i am staying be low, the fog around 2500 feet, mt. tam three degrees cooler than yesterday. i think we will continue to see that go down. 50s for everybody, mid to upper. upper 80s today when you get

we now have more information about that kidnapping we have been following and sal was just telling you about. let's go right to christian cast ton at the police station. what do you know? >> reporter: we are here at the police station. we hope to get a briefing relatively soon. here is what we know so far. the five-year-old girl is now safe and sound. we saw her and we saw her very briefly with a couple of police officers in the area of 41st and barrett, as soon as saw us those officers moved away. her father was trying to fill up around 5:30 this morning. when he got out to pay someone stole his car with the little girl inside. there was obviously tense moments. she turned up a short time later and was dropped off at 41st and roosevelt.

and again we were at 41st and barrett. we saw a couple of police officers there, a police suv and a cruiser with a little girl. those officers moved away shortly after we arrived on scene. we came here trying to learn more information about this case. we do have a vehicle description. let's show you similar vehicle. we are hearing the car was a cadillac seville, this again is a photo of a similar vehicle and we have a more detailed description of this vehicle in particular. this cadillac has 22 inch gold rims and disabled license plates. that plate number is 5-3-0-1-d- d-p. if you have any information about where that car is or who took it richmond police want to hear from you again. the news that we are hearing now is that the five-year-old girl who was in the back of that voak is now in police custody. we are waiting to hear whether or not she has been reunited
