year-olds, one of whom caughted her daughter. according to the indictment, a mother of one of the boys found sexually explicit photos of her on her son's phone. >> she's friends with the kids, best friends. i knew it was true. but i still didn't believe is. >> she's accused of letting a group of boys shoot a pellet gun outside her suv. her attorney asked for privacy. her bail is set for at $4.3 million. tomorrow marks one year of the disappearance of hasanni campbell. he's never been found. a group is getting ready for special events tomorrow because they refuse to give up. rita williams has more. >> frank, tomorrow it will be a

year since a smiling boy disappeared. but that doesn't mean some folks have forgotten him. >> look at him. he's so prier husband. >> reporter: sherri-lin miller is talking about hassani she was busy printing fliers for an event she's organizing tomorrow. >> reporter: a year ago, hassani's foster father told oakland police he left the boy briefly in his car while he went to the front of a shoe store where the boy's foster mother and aunt worked. ross said when he returned, the boy, who has cerebral palsy, was gone. about three weeks after the disappearance, police arrested the foster parents as murder suspects. but they released them three days late later for lack of

turn 7 years old next month. reporting live from the newsroom, rita williams, ktvu channel 2 news. some bay area gay couples are anxious slip awaiting for a judge's stay to be lifted in order for same-sex marriages to resume. a federal judge overturned the ban last week. but it's still not clear exactly when gay couples will be able to legally marry again. in the meantime, there was another day of weddings at san francisco's city hall which meant another day of same-sex couples sitting on the sidelines. >> right now it's a little bit hectic not knowing the answer. it's crazy going back and forth being legal and not legal. >> the state could be lifted any day and if it -- the stay could be lifted any day and if it is, there's sure to be a flood of couple going there to get married. state senator leland yee of san francisco wrote a bill that would allow counties to choose whether to increase the cost of marriage licenses by $10. he says the governor's

proposing slashing $16 million from state domestic problems. >> i'm hoping he will look at this favebly and protect the domestic violence programs. >> opponents say the proposed fee is actually a tax increase that requires two-thirds approval by the voters. at a hearing this morning, there was some support for a citywide liquor fee that would recover money spent son alcohol- related services. but opponents say it would hurt small businesses. some question the lee fall -- the legality. next up for the plan, a discussion is in september. did a pit bull need to be shot three times by law enforcement?

rob roth is live in hayward tonight to tell us what prompted the shooting in the first place. rob? >> reporter: maureen, friends and neighbors have been leaving flowers in front of the house where, prince, the pit bull lived. that's where he was. prince was 3 years old and had just three legs. last evening at about 7:00 one of his owners said prince and another dog slipped out the front door and ran outside to the mailbox. >> they were running over here to use the bathroom, where they always do. >> reporter: standing in the middle of the street were three alameda county sheriff deputies investigating a shooting that occurred a few blocks away. the dog sea owner said prince gently headed to one of the deputies. >> i came after him and -- the sheriff is already shooting. i'm like no! no! i'm waving my arms and they said go in the house!

and they kept shooting him and i heard him wimperring and they just killed him. >> is was aggressive. >> snarling, barking. when the dog gets to be about ten feet away, he fires twice and then he continues toward him and he fires again and the dog stops. >> but the owner insists that prince was not acting aggressively? >> not barking. >> reporter: no. >> no teeth exposed? >> no. >> reporter: and neighbors say prince was well known and well loved in the neighborhood. >> you get some dogs that are nice and peget around other people, kids, postal people, u.p.s. drivers, and they get aggressive. >> reporter: prince's owner say at a minimum they would like an apology. the sheriff's office is investigating what happened. rob roth, ktvu channel 2 news.

we have breaking news just coming into the ktvu newsroom. a 3.9 earthquake has just struck in watsonville. the usgs say it was centered south of watsonville. it hit about 15 minutes ago. we spoke with the local newspaper. they said they felt quite a jolt there. there have been no reports inform he damage. but the headline at this hour, 3.9 earthquake just south of watsonville about 15 minutes ago. police in stockton arrested four teenagers over the weekend in the beating death of a 15- year-old boy. buddhist monks came together pray. a witness reported that eight or nine people pulled him out of a car and beat him at a city park friday afternoon. police believe the killing may have been gang-related. >> police officers in oakland have agreed to take home less money to protect their jobs. now they say it's up to voters to seal the deal. officers voted overwhelmingly to pay% into their pension

plans. they also agreed to a two- tiered pension plan for new employees. if the measure passes, the union is guaranteed no layoffs for three years and 80 officers will get their jobs back. not only are they protectors of the community but they under to protect and provide safety, that means paying themselves. san francisco leaders are taking a fresh look at chaotic regulations for new mobile food vendors that are turning up around the city. one supervisor says the permit process for taco trucks is poorly defined. says some vendors pay heavy fees while others skirt the rules. he wants to transfer regulatory powers to the department of public works. >> i haven't seen the new rules that they are trying to -- to apply but if it's something reasonable, i'm in five of that

in san francisco. san francisco mayor gavin newsom celebrated the lifting of a now-year-old court injunction that will now double the existing network. >> being a world-class city means we have to be a pedestrian-friendly city, it means we have to be a city friendly to bicyclists. >> san francisco will be transformed and the streets will be a wonderful place for everyone to travel. >> reporter: there are 35 new like bane projects. some a few blocks long will only take plays to complete. the others will be done in a few months. they are spread around the city and include cesar chavez, polk, north point, fifth street. but in some cases, driving spaces will be lost which was the basis for the court injunction. in an already-congested city where a lot of people think there are too few spaces, the idea is controversial. >> i don't think it's a good idea. there's a problem with parking. there are not a lot of parking
