on trace elementary. the fencing contractor was here before the sun came up, he said he just wanted to make sure crews would be here to put final touches on the fences to makeure things are safe. we have seen them welding and spray painting. there have been a lot of long hours this last month as they raced to get things up and ready. the superintendent says really everyone has come together and says it will take a little getting used to. >> so our first and second graders will be across the street, the building that burnt down holds mostly first and second grade classrooms. brought in extra staff and they will be here throughout the year and that will be assisting with safety with extra crossing guards and because safety of our students is one of our primary concerns. >> reporter: if you take a look at images from that july 5th fire you get a look how far they had to travel to get here today. it was a six alarm fire

ktvus craig devero is at the police station where officers are interviewing witnesses. good morning craig. >> reporter: good morning tory. this looks like a horrible accident police say that could change depending what other witnesses may have to tell them or if they find out drugs and alcohol were involved in what happened but right now, that does not look like the case. police say the unidentified 19- year-old died after falling off the side of an suv. the man was on glen road near del amy go when a group of friends in a toyota land cruiser. they may have been in the area attending a party. the people in the vehicle were on their way to a nearby home and the victim wanted to join them. it is not clear why the victim jumped on to the vehicle as it pulled away at a slow rate of speed. he died after falling from the suv. his death looks accidental. >> we have to get all the facts, identify potential witnesses, we will go through

run driver in san francisco. a german tourist was killed friday night after big hit. the 38-year-old driver fled the scene but was arrested two blocks away. time 7:31 a.m. oakland, four people shot during a 3 hour period overnight. it happened in three different parts of oakland, one was at a recreation center inside a royal i have eye owe community park. good morning jade. >> reporter: good morning we've checked with oakland police and as far as we know they don't have a motive in this specific shooting involving two teenage boys but we know they are following important leads because the shooters left behind several different shell casings from different weapons. we can show you paramedics rushing the two teens to the hospital last night both teen boys are being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. the shooting happened before 9:00 p.m.

last night outside the recreational center inest oakland the teens are 15 and 17- year-olds old. at this point we don't have much information about the teens or if they knew their shooters. police are not releasing what may have lead up to the shooting but we know they are investigating this morning. we understand one of the teens may be in critical condition the other is listed in stable condition because we don't know the extent of his injuries we do not know how that second teen is doing right now. we are live at police headquarters this morning and they have been busy since last night. as dave mentioned there were three separate shootings, one happened before 9 involving the two teens, another at 10:00 p.m. and another one following an hour later at 11. more on this coming up. reporting live from oakland, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> as jade mentioned there were two other overnight shootings in oakland within three hours. police are out there looking

for the gunman who shot a man several times, 32nd and magnolia, 11:30 p.m. last night. the victim listed in critical condition. no word of a motive. also an hour earlier more gunfire happened during an attempted robbery 59th street not far from berkeley border. one victim was taken to a nearby hospital shot several times he is expected to survive. police are still looking for the gunman. so far police don't believe the shootings are related. 7:34 a.m. a man suspected of attacking three women at a walnut creek apartment complex due to make his first court appearance. 22-year-old man faces rape, attempted rape and burglary charges and accused of three assaults at parkeri gypsy apartments. investigators are trying to determine if he had friends there and why women there were targeted he was caught friday on bart after a chase. his bail is set at $12 million.

welcome back. it was a violent night in oakland. four people were shot in three different shootings, one man was injured in an attack on magnolia street, another shot during an attempted robbery on 59th street. ktvus jade hernandez at the oakland police station with more about the third shooting at royal i viejo. >> reporter: they have been investigating these shootings, they have evidence the shooters left behind shell casings from several weapons and hopefully that will help detectives find a motive. we watched paramedics take the two teens in this shooting to

the hospital late last night. both teen boys are being treated for multiple gunshot wounds they were shut several times before 9:00 p.m. last night in east oakland. the teens are 15 and 17 years old. we understand one teen may be in critical condition the other is listed in stable condition but we don't know the extent of his injuries. police have not released what may have lead to the shooting, if the teens knew their shooters or what they were doing at the center last night. deit can tiffs are looking for multiple -- detectives are looking for multiple shooters. we are at police headquarters this morning they are very busy, one shooting happened 9:00 p.m. involving the two teenagers, the second happened at 10 and another at 11:00 p.m. reporting live in oakland jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> our time 8:31 a.m. an update on breaking news we

community park. victims are 16 and 19 both from antioch. they were taken to high land hospital, one reportly in critical condition, there were two other shootings in oakland overnight, injuring two people. the case of the slack have aville father who reported his -- vacaville father who reported his 3-year-old son missing. now in the hands of the state attorney. he told 911 he was missing for 3 hours. when police arrived they found food, trash, clothing, spider webs the child was found safe, sleeping in a bedroom hidden beneath piles of trash and clothing. they also found unlocked firearms in that house. places where a child could reach them. vincent rush the father was arrested and facing charges of felony child endangerment. >> >> actress giagia gabor is in serious condition in hospital this morning. she asked her husband to call a
