i'm kraig debro. >> i'm materialry campbell. this morning, concord police are searching for two gunmen who oned -- who robbed a pair of prontos last -- who robbed a pair of restaurants last night. claudine wong has more. >> reporter: good morning. yes, these robberies happened in and around closing time. this "round table" was hit first and then the subway

restaurant. we believe that restaurant was already closed. but the robbers came looking for man. police believe they may have done this before. let's talk about the round table. it was 50855. the round table closes at 10:00. we don't know if there were customers inside. they walked in with sweat shoots. the two ordered the employees to the ground. they were apparently not done with that crime spree. less than 45 minutes later, police believe the same men did the same thing at the subway runt at the 400 -- restaurant at the 400 block. the store had already close. not sure how the men got in. but police say they came in with a mask and gloves. they took cash from the register. residents say this news scares them. >> i probably don't be walking home anymore, at least not for a while. i don't want to get caught up

in any of this stuff. i don't want to be robbed. if i was ever in the way. because i walked here at night. i wouldn't want to get in trouble. >> reporter: police searched the area but the suspects are still on the loose. while the search for them couldn'ts, the question is are these same two people responsible for several other robberies in the past several weeks? police told us that the description of the two men and the time of the robberies all seemed to coincide. we don't have a description of the robbers but they were seen leaving in an dark-colored suv and the search for them continues. 7:03. all lanes of southbound 101 in morgan hill are back open. it took 12 hours to upright a big rig. three lanes were blocked for

hours. creating mile-long backups. the tanker was carrying 43,000 pounds of liquid wax that had to be transferred before the truck could be uprighted. part of the san mateo bridge is back open this morning, following some overnight work. two westbound lanes were closed so caltrans crews could put up anticorrosive paint after a track was discovered -- crack was discovered. an officer crashed his patrol car into a pedestrian. the victim, a 63-year-old man, was crossing santa clara street last night when he was hit. he was taken to the hospital but at this point we don't know how badly he was hurt. police say they also don't know if the victim was in a crosswalk. a santa cruz city councilman is in trouble with

the law. the santa cruz paper says an arrest warrant was issued for tony magidral after he skipped an appearance. he was pulled over after chp say they saw him on his laptop, texting, swerving and driving along the center divider. the councilman pleaded not guilty last thursday. the excitement is building by the minute. today the giants host the phillies. it's the biggest baseball game in years. paul chambers joins us live from at&t park with all of the details. >> reporter: it's really early but there are some fans out here. they said they want to be apart of this. they say it's been a long time, since 2002, since they had an opportunity to get involved in the mania and go crazy. that's what some fans are

sunny, warmer inland. still kind of foggy. cool by the beaches. here's tori. san carlos city council members are considering a plan to outsource its fire services to save money. the city has been sharing its fire services with bellmont for more than 30 years but the city says the cost of the agreement is getting too high.

hasan will face the death penalty. an illegal immigrant accused of beating and raping a palo alto woman, the man plead guilty. he had fled to mexico where he was arrested. the plea deal brings closure to the case, although the victim died four years ago. he will be sentenced december 9th. the major airline want to move federal marshals out of first class and back in coach. the company says this costs money. they add additional security measures and recent attempts by terrorists show they could be -- they would be more useful in the back of the plane.

an attorney who is preparing to file a lawsuit on behalf of the dozens of fire victims says that accepting the offer from pg&e could hinder them from seeking damages in court. he's also concerned that the plan calls for pg&e to hire the appraiser who will then determine the value of the buyout price on the home. now, this morning, lawmakers in sacramento will take a close look at the pipeline disaster in san bruno. the state senate will hold a joint hearing on set 9th explosion and fire that killed eight people and destroyed homes. today's hearinwill had focus on the maintenance of natural gas pipelines and how similar strategies can be preveried in the future. back to you. police are looking for a

vandal who damaged a gas pipeline outside of a san francisco business. it happened last thursday on mission street shortly after 6:00. have been several others. last night, around 8:55, about an hour before closing time, we don't know if customers were inside but we do know police say the robbers walked in wearing hooded sweatshirts. one carried a shot gun, the other a pistol. they ordered everyone to the ground and took money out of the cash register -- register. at 9:30 police believe the same men did the same thing at the subway, about four miles away from the first robbery. according to the subway restaurant that store had already closed so we're not sure how these men got in. >> it's more concerning that i go to these cases -- places and eat ther. what if i'm in one of these

morgan hill are back up this morning. it took more than 12 hours to remove the overturned tanker. the tanker flipped over 3:00 just south of coyote. three lanes were blocked for hours, creating mile-long backups. the tanker was carrying 43,000 gallons of wax. when they went to haul away the truck, the tow truck driver ran into problems and that extended the reopening of that final lane. and part of the san mateo bridge is back open. two westbound lanes were closed. so caltrans crews put the material on there to keep it

it is 8:35. the owner and manager of a san francisco printing company are expected to surrender to authorities today following the death of a pregnant employee two years ago. 26-year-old margarita mohiko was crushed to death by a machine at digital prepress in january of 2008. yesterday, prosecutors charged the owner and manager with involuntary manslaughter and labor code violationses. they say employees were not properly trained and the machine was not properly shut down. the company already settled a wrongful death suit for $6 million. oakland police say a
