hoopla. >> it's the biggest thrill to have the president of the united states drive past your house. and we're happy to have him visit. come back any time. >> reporter: not everyone was happy to see the president. protestors in ather ton made it known they feel the president is hurting the country. in seattle, washington, he spent the morning before coming to the bay area. he held a backyard forum with women business owners. today, the campaign continues. the president is expected to head to los angeles to campaign for senator barbara boxer at usc. and this afternoon, he'll be in las vegas, rallying for senate majority leader harry reid. and we are live in front of the westin hotel, where the president spent the night. we're live along bayshore. and traffic is blocked off between callen road and millbrae. so that might cause a little bit of problems! drivers have had to come up and had to be detoured around. we'll check in with sal cast nedas.

-- castaneda. and how else is this affecting traffic this morning? >> whenever the president moves, and they won't tell us exactly when, for obvious reasons, they will shut the entire area down. so when the president does move, they will shut down 101 temporarily, as the motorcade moves through and gets to the point on the air field where air force one is. so if you want to be absolutely safe and you don't want to deal with any of that, and since they won't tell us exactly when, you might want to use 280 instead. fortunately, this is confined to a very small area, relatively. if you use 280, you'll do yourself a favor. now, traffic is light anyway. so it may not cause a big delay. of course, we'll be watching for you. and we have another traffic update in a few minutes. at 7:03. let's head back to the desk. giants are headed back this morning, with the champagne still on ice for both teams.

7:06 am
worker was out here working, when he saw the tops of two jars, sticking up from the ground, in an isolated part of the cemetery. he took a closer look. and that had him calling police. inside the jar was a human heart, with a picture of a couple pinned to it. the other had a picture of yet another couple. the paper says candles and a cigar was found nearby. and the coroner had already determined that the hearts were embalmed, leading investigators to believe there were no reports of dead bodies. so at this point, police are trying to track down where they came from and say there are a variety of laws that could have been broken in all of this. but at this point, there's still a lot of information yet to be learned. we have two hearts. the pictures of two unknown couples, and this big mystery. live in colma, claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thanks for the update. time now, 7:06. supporters are planning to shut

7:08 am
but 3 and 5 are not delayed. this is because of a problem on the track. let's move along and take a look at interstate 880. that traffic is moving along as well. getting up into the coliseum. and into san jose and oakland, shisay -- i should say. westbound bay bridge. that is backed up for about a five-minute delay. certainly is a backup there. but it's lighter than normal is, getting into san francisco. and we keep an eye on the peninsula right now. highway 101 looks good so far, between burlingame. i mentioned, the president is on the peninsula. there may be roving closures, temporary ones. if you want to avoid everything, just use 280 instead. 7:08. here's steve. >> we get a few breaks here. but there's still rain. down to daly city, peninsula. but more on the back side. this front. the rain barely shows up on radar.

7:10 am
it will slow down a little bit. but it will give us clouds saturday morning. and rains heading south. clouds, then sun, cool to mild after some of this rain. berkeley forecast, cloudy, could be a few light showers. 57. we'll go 64. noon to 66 for a hi today at 3:00. 50s, temperatures are on the mild side. this was not really a cold front. more of a cool front. the cold air isn't really in place yet. a mild air mass will keep us in place. if you're heading up to the mountains, now, snow level will be until 7,000 feet until sunday. but there will be a lot of cloud, winds, and rain below the passes. 50s, 60s, 70s, top to bottom. one system doesn't have much left. but it is producing some rain. there's your saturday system looking pretty good. and the sunday system is now just coming across the dayline. and that will be even stronger into sunday. there's one. and then the next one. things -- are going to get rather stronger here.
