investigators are looking at the cell phone video of yesterday's shooting as new details are emerging about what happened and about the man that was shot. police officials say 2 officers fired their handgun just before another officer fired a nonlethal gun. you can hear two gunshots. police chief says two officers have been placed on administrative leave. that's the policy after a shooting. early review of what happened. >> i believe that from a legal stance this shooting will be deemed to be an appropriate shooting. >> reporter: the shooting occurred on 11th street. police say a man with a knife was slashing tires. he stabbed an officer in the shoulder. police then fired bean bags. the man was shot in the groin and is expected to survive.

amtrak ridership is picking up steam. says more people have started riding. in november the capital corridor saw a 10.6 increase in ridership. 4.2% more passengers hopped on the pacific shoreliner. amtrak says ridership went up as the economy improved. taxi cab drivers have convinced san francisco transit officials to consider an increase in fares. after cab drivers explained their costs have risen in the last 8 years. drivers say they want a moderate rate hike so passengers aren't scared away. a judge has ruled that
