and what is going on right now? good morning, kraig. >> reporter: good morning, pam. there is several people out in the streets. there is a couple houses evacuated. this is the address of the house that burned. it's on corbett. most of the damage is behind on the house. this is considered upper market depending on what real estate agent you talk to. so right now fire crews are here. they are doing the overhaul right now. you see the ladder truck right here. this started around 3:00 this morning. the fire department got here. they called the second alarm. they are not only the people in the two houses that won the origin of the fire. other people out in the street of course everybody is nervous because we have those four fires at the end of last week. over the weekend the fire department said are arson. they are trying to figure out

out if it's connected. >> it's preliminary to say it is connected. we have determined those were intentionally set. we are being very vigilant. we have our arson team on the scene. >> reporter: now as i said several residents have been displaced by the fire. nobody was hurt. i want to show you right now you can barely see it right now. that car over there there was a woman that was eight months pregnant. she got out so quickly she was just given a blanket by the red cross to wrap around herself. i asked her if she was okay she said yes she just needed to get off her feet. the red cross are helping people that are displaced. i spoke to a woman that lives in the exposure house. she said she saw the flames coming from her neighbors deck

which they just installed. ask it is under investigation. ly be talking to some of the people out here so they can tell me what they saw. reporting live in san francisco kraig debro. in vacaville right now parents are lined up outside of birmingham charter school. some parents have been camping out since saturday hoping to get their hands on a limited number of registration packets for their kids. the school will give out 130 enrollment kits. now coming up at 5:00 we will hear from some of those parents in a live report. a woman that was kidnapped from an oakland apartment complex turned up overnight at a hospital. police tell us she is stable. witnesses tell police that two

women chased the woman. officers day the man assaulted her and forced her into a car. we just spoke with oakland police. they -- their car is described as a black 1994 four-door chrysler. license plate. in egypt today thousands of protestors are continuing their antidemonstrations. crowds in the square have been chanting down with america. they are disappointed despite president obama's tough comments last week. the u.s. has signed on to the idea of a gradual transition lead by egypts new vice president. the protestors don't like the vice president and they continue to insist that president mubarak step down immediately. there are reports that a google executive whom disappeared more than a week ago in egypt will be released

by egyptian authorities within the next two hours. why he had googling marketing efforts. he is one of the administrators of a facebook page that organized the antigovernment protest. his family hasn't heard from him since january 27th. initially the egyptian government would not acknowledge they arrested him. but yesterday a spokesperson said he would be released by 4:00 that is 6:00 a.m. our time. in iran it is day two of the trial of three uc berkeley graduates charged with spying. shane bower and josh fatal

400 fans were left without seats for the super bowl. that's why some sections in the temporary seating area were not finished in time. the nfl found alternate seating for 850 that were effected but the 400 people that could not be seated were given refunds of triple face value of their $900. they also had the option of watching the game on monitors from inside the stadium or standing room platforms. the nfl says yesterdays super bowl did not set the all-time attendance record because of the seating. the nfl faces an off season of uncertainty. the collective bargaining agreement expires on march 3rd barring an agreement before then they are threatening to lock out the players. they will increase the number, length, and intensity of bargaining sessions to reach a deal before that current one

nothing like we had yesterday. hundreds of homes are threatened in australia this morning as two large wild fires continue to burn. they started over the weekend outside perth. more than 4,000 acres of land has burned in the fire. one firefighter is in the hospital but is said to be in stable condition. we now know the name of the man who died while running a half marathon in san francisco. the medical examiners office says 36-year-old peter hoss died just before collapsing. a witness told the chronicle that volunteers gave the man cpr but the witness also said it took a long time for the paramedics to arrive. ohios governor is set so visit youngstown university today. one day after am deadly shot

shoot -- after a deadly shooting. two men opened fire inside a fraternity house yesterday morning. it all started after some sort of dispute over a party. >> they were shooting from the outside into the party. anyone that was in that party was being rained on by bullets. >> the two men accused of shooting are in custody. grief counselors will be on campus to help students. more than 50 people in colorado are recovering from carbon monoxide poisoning this morning. police say eight of the victims had serious amounts of carbon monoxide in their blood. they are expected to survive. there is no word on what may have caused that leak.

wikileaks founder julian assange is in court. defense attorney say assange should not be extradited because he has not been charged with a crime. assange should not be sent to sweden because authority there is could send him to the u.s. and that could mean that he ends up on death row. jacqueline square aquatic center is on the verge of closing. the nonprofit group that managed its center -- the city cut funding by nearly $200,000. now the hope is that parks and recreation will step in to continue providing water access. >> this is the best water in the bay. i mean, if this place shut down, really the only place to row would be mary.

that water is unpredictable. >> without city intervention the aquatic center last day could be february 28th. a bay area city is getting ready to start a new community policing program. the contra costa time reports this morning that martinez will launch the new program in a few weeks. gary peterson is working on the efforts. the community policing program will help strengthen ties between officers and the public. community policing advocates say it works because residents are more likely to tip off about crime. >> a high school soccer brawl caught on tape. what a school resource officer used to break up a fight between rival players. also the super bowl commercial that sparked a controversy.

take a look at this video out of florida. a high school soccer goalie has been charged with felony battery after a post game brawl that was caught on tape. it happened after the goalies team lost to a rival school in a playoff game on friday. a school resource officer used pepper spray to break up that fight. the goalie is accused of breaking the other players two front teeth. >> we want to go back to sal to check on traffic. how is the commute? >> it's doing well. we are off to a pretty decent start. no major problems on the upper deck of the bay bridge. the traffic is looking good all the way into san francisco with no major problems. alsos morning commute looks good if you are driving on to the san mateo bridge. westbound 92 traffic looks good heading out to the high hawaii. if you are driving to the south bay northbound 101 traffic
