"mornings on 2" begins right now. good morning. welcome to "mornings on 2." i'm dave clark. >> i'm tori campbell. scattered rain? let's check in with steve right knew. you can see this area keeps -- there it is. it is nothing too heavy. you can see some light rain. most of the system has gone by. some of the scattered showers especially out towards bethel island and brentwood. the-- brentwood. the south bay is getting rain.

for other areas, it's windy. for others, it's raining. for an update on the traffic, here's sal. steve, driving around the bay area is very tough. it's windy. almost all of the freeways are affected by wind. it's still wet and we have a big problem in marin county. southbound 101, a lumber still -- a lumber spill has blocked two lanes. let's go to jade hernandez along southbound 101. jade? >> reporter: i was initially told this accident would be cleared up in 20 minutes. it's a slow process. a tow truck has actually just pulled up a second big rig. what they are trying to do, this big rig lost its trailer around 5:40 this morning. luckily, the driver was into the hurt. but it's causing a -- was not hurt. but it's causing a huge backup. we are being told by the california chp that they are just trying to get it off. it could be another 30 minutes. you can see here -- my

photojournalist is showing you the backup. we've been seeing this backup since 6:00 when we pulled up. the chp officer who came to talk to us said he's gonna be out here for a little bit to monitor the situation. this initial accident happened at 5:40. and what happened afterwards is a minor accident. this big rig losing its trailer caused two other vehicles to crash. those cars have been pulled off the freeway. minor injuries in that accident. no serious injuries. but, of course, you can see this is causing a huge problem this morning. of course, we'll keep an eye on it and we will get more information passed along to you. reporting live, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you, jade. you can always find up-to- the-minute weather and traffic information as well as a look at stormtracker2 on ktvu.com.

7:0 3. right now, in washington, d.c., the second day of federal hearings looking into the san bruno pipeline explosion is underway. the focus of today's hearing is on how much people in san bruno knew of the danger presented by the pg&e pipeline running under the city. in testimony today, san bruno's fire chief just said he didn't know of the existence of the gas transmission line until it blew up. we'll have a live report from our washington, d.c. newsroom coming up in about ten minutes. today all over the bay area, all over california, students and teachers will be rallying. they will be marching and calling attention to planned education cut. now, ktvu aclaudine wong is in oakland, she's -- ktvu's claudine wong is in oakland covering the details. we'll have details from her in just a few minutes. 7:0 4. some uc santa cruz students bared it all to

protest cutbacks. it happened on the east field of the campus yesterday where they used to their bodies to spell out the words "free education." some demonstrators took it a step further and they actually stripped off interest -- stripped off their clothing. >> we have a bit of a reputation at uc santa cruz. i think that's okay. i think if the rest of the world was as open minded as people send to be here, it might be a more peaceful place. students and a faculty are planning a noontime rally today. 7:05. as' owner, lew wolff, says he cannot wait to hire a van and move to san jose. he can move to san jose in three years once he gets permission from mlb. he's aghast that the giants

those out there -- not a pleasant commute for those out there. >> a lot of people coming from sonoma county, and this truck that was fully loaded with lumber came off of its cab, so the trailer came off the cab. no one was injured but they are trying to get this out of here. earlier we saw the tow truck lifting it up. in fact, the lumber was so heavy, the tow truck lifted it in the air. they are trying to get this out. the two lanes are blocked near lincoln. southbound 101 reduced to the two lanes. traffic is backed under bigtime. you can see hue close it is. if you drive -- how close it is. if you drive from novato to san rafael, you need to give yourself extra time. the load is what's making this so hard. they are gonna have to figure out a way to get this truck off the freeway and then they will worry about getting the truck on its way. let's move along to the bay bridge toll plaza. it's-- it seems to be drying

off here. no major problems getting on the brim. but it's wind -- bridge. but it's windy ace cross the span. there is a card room along san pablo avenue that is the subject -- that is subject of police activity. one of our reporterrers is on -- reporters is on the way to find out more about this. these are a lot of police vehicles that all of a sudden showed up. they are inside this room, this card room. we'll see what's going on. again, one of our reporters is on the way. it may be a good area to avoid. this is san pablo area, right near the emeryville/oakland border. let's go to steve. >> thank you, sal. i think at 8:00, 9:00, we'll be on the more westerly breeze of this system.

the system is coming by. more of a wind producer than a rain producer. there are some areas to the north that are get some good rain. the system is sitting over southern marin county, right where that lumber spill is. some of the rain -- i mean, there's not too much anywhere else. we can find some down towards the santa cruz mountains. that's about it. some of the rainfall, cazadero, 3. ben low bund, .86 -- ben lomond, .86. petaluma .75. after that it tails off. sanfrancisco had .18. the system could still produce off-and-on rain. i'm not sure i buy the 56 in livermore. it's still mild. hayward says 54. maybe that's right. they might be getting a strong

south wind the will go by and we'll see weak, little impulses. kind of breezy today. and kind of cool for some. the winter storm warning is out for the mountain. the snow level has gone way up there. for us, we're looking for some rain and wind in the morning. mainly wind. for others, sun, clouds, showers, temperatures will be in the 50s. we'll have some mid-50s to a few low 60s today. we'll get the south wind. mid-50s. upper 50s to some low 60s. that will take us down to santa clara as well. it looks like an occasional showery pattern on thursday. we get a break on friday and then some saturday. and it looks like everybody will have some rain on sunday. this is a day action.

hour and a half. stay with us. we'll give you traffic coverage because even when it clears, it will take a while for this to unwind. new this morning, a house just exploded in ohio. look at these pictures. in that explosion a grandmother and her grandson were killed. this happened about 4:00 this morning in ohio. the cause of that blast, that's still being investigate. some the neighbors say interest thomas were not damaged but they -- their homes were not damaged but they felt the explosion. right now, day two of the investigation of the san bruno pipeline explosion. alison burns is in d.c. and is back with surprising testimony from san bruno's fire chief this morning. alison? >> reporter: dave, that's right. fire chief dennis hague says pg&e had not alerted the fire

department had the existence of the pipeline before the september 9th explosion. this is a look at the live webcast from the national transportation safety board. chief hague is the first witness today and he was asked how he would have better prepared for disaster if he knew about the pipeline. explosion killed eight people and destroyed dozens homes. >> it gives the fire service a chance to preplan and do senator-based -- scenario-based training. obviously, this was something that happened that we would never imagine but it gives us an opportunity to draw up zonessed a look at evacuation zones -- zones and look at evacuation zones as well. >> reporter: we'll have more live coverage of the hearing

car. >> i was holding on literally with the tips of my fingers and my ankles. you know -- now i know -- i know now it was the stupidest thing i've ever done. the driver, christopher, was driving up to speeds up to 100 miles an hour. he finally slowed down, alouing the woman to roll off the -- allowing the woman to roll off the van. a schoolteacher in atherton is now on paid leave after he rattled a table to get his students' attention. this happened yesterday at selby lane school. investigators say one student was so startled by that that she called the police. some of the other students didn't seem to be bothered by what the teacher did at all. the redwood city placed that teacher on leave because there was a police response. southwest airlines are

operating on time after a computer glitch led to delays last night. a company spokesperson says changes too their rapid rewards program for frequent flyers went into effect yesterday, causing aning on outage. we just checked. and more bank of america cuss terse have access to their accounts at this hour. the entire system was down yesterday after a glitch connected to a routine upgrade that took place last weekend. the bank says it has been restoring service across the country. bankofamerica cannot say when everyone will have full service restored. 7:20. in just a couple of hours from now, apple will unveil the new ipad 2 in san francisco and the rumor witnesses are staying it could be on new store shelves immediately. the new ipad is expected to be

personal one for him. good morning. this incident along southbound 101 is almost cleared up.

mickey rooney claimed he was a victim of elder abuse. a judge has issued a restraining order in the case with a hearing scheduled for next month. the u.s. senate today is set to vote on emergency short- term legislation that would avoid a government shutdown on friday. it passed in the house. it also includes $4 billion in cuts. it gives the white house and congress an additional two weeks to work out a spending

bill to work this out. soaring gas prices are driving some people to fill up illegally. police in south carolina say there have been at least five incidents of people stealing gas. police say someone is drilling holes in people's gas tanks and training out the gas. most people don't realize there's a hole in the tank until their next trip to the gas station. it can cost around $1,000 to repair the damage. >> that's one i have never heard. >> right. we've been -- sal's been telling us about some major traffic problems this morning. >> that's right. the biggest problem, of course, is in marin county on southbound 101. we found out more information about what happened. the load shifted on this truck and caused the trailer to become separated from the cab. now, the tow truck had to get up there. they had to move the load. they had to shift it again. so they basically have to lift the truck up, move the load

back and then they will get another truck in to haul the trailer. southbound 101 looks like it's completely shut down here. i'm not sure why. maybe they think it's unsafe for cars to drive. this is only going to be worst for the 101 commute. i would say if you have the option of not going now, i wouldn't go. traffic is at a dead stop on southbound 101 because of the truck crash, it's backing up this this laning -- rainy weather. this will affect not only marin but also sonoma county heading south. let's take a look at the bay bridge. it's a little bit driver there. traffic is backed up for about a 15-minute wait and on the nimitz freeway, not a bad drive, but it's getting busier near highway 92. let's go to sal. >> all right, sal. mother nature is not being too kind for the spill up in marin county. there is a little cell hanging out around marin county and it doesn't want to move. it looks like it's starting to

thin out. scattered from novato and right to san rafael, most of the rain has tapered off. i will come out wide and show you there's scattered showers starting to move in from the peninsula. let me go to the latest image, half moan way to atascadero. if i put this into motion, look how this starts to thin out, especially around monterey, but still up in the santa cruz mountains. the satellite picture show what's going on. you can see our system. it has not gone through. we'll still get some coming by. temperatures today, kind of cool with the breeze but they are on the mild side. ben lomond picked -- picked up almost 1. petaluma .74, mill valley, .74. some rain, wind in the morning.

it's going to be slow all over the bay area this morning. the rain and the wind -- mostly the wind causing many problems on many bay area freeways. this is highway 24. it's not looking good westbound on the way to la fayette. most commutes will be noticably slower. we have a big problem in marin county. let's get the latest from jade hernandez, who is live along highway 101. jade? >> reporter: sal, the southbound lanes are all shut down and the reason, they had a big obstaclele when they were trying to move this big rig off

the road, part of the trailer, the load shifted, all of those planks of wood shifted, and they were having trouble putting this trail he op a new big. so the big was on the right- hand side initially when we showed you pictures 20 minutes ago. then the rig moved to the other side. they had to shut down all lanes of traffic on southbound 101 in order to do that. rain did not cause this problem initially. this accident happened just before 5:00. but it has caused a problem now because, as you can see, the rain's come -- rain's coming down even harder right now. the chp has all of the lanes of traffic shut down. you can see just how far traffic is backed up. right now, we're told that they are gonna do their best job that they can to get this trailer onto another rig. they've been working on this. they initially thought this process was gonna take about 20 minutes. it's definitely taken longer this morning. we're gonna keep you posted.

dozens of federal agents have converged on a card club in emeryville. a spokesperson for the fbi tells ktvu it is part of a crackdown on organized crime in the bay area. newschopper2, took these pictures just minutes ago. several raids are taking place right now in other cities. ktvu's kraig debro is just minutes from the scene and he will have a live report from emeryville for us here on "mornings "mornings on 2" coming up very shortly. time now, 7:34. sanfrancisco police are investigating a mysterious death in north beach. a man's body was found inside of a jewelry store last night on mason street. that discovery came while police were checking on the welfare of the unidentified man. now, homicide detectives have joined this investigation. but police still haven't said anything about reports that the man was shot to death. 7:34. this morning a young mother from santa rosa is facing drunk

driving charges in an accident that injured her children. the serious rollover crash happened last night on laughlin road not far from the sonoma county airport. the chp says 23-year-old christen galvin was -- kristen galvin was behind the wheel of a speeding suv that flew off the roadway, flipped over and smashed into the guardrail. woman and two of her children were thrown from the car. the young mother faces very serious charges. >> for a parent to get in the vehicle with their children, if, in fact, you know, they are intoxicated, then you are bringing chargeses in of child -- charges in of child endangerment. >> reporter: the 4-year-old was the most seriously injured. her mother and 6-year-old sister are being treated at santa rosa hospital. her 2-year-old brother was found unhurt, strapped in his car seat. they are all expected to

survive. 7:35. two firefighters recovering now after being hurt while battling a house fire in alamo. take a look at this video the fire department gave us. the fire's going real good. the fire started about 8:30 last night in a fireplace in the second floor, then it spread to the attic and the roof. we're told everyone in the house got out safely but those two firefighters had to be treated at the hospital. one suffered cut to his hand. the other suffered a head injury. berkeley police have arrested a man they say hit a police officer with his car. police say they responded to the call of a wallet being stolen on hines avenue. they were given the description of the alleged robber and his car. while the police searched the area, an officer found the car. when he approached the suspect, the suspect ran him over. we're told that police officer is listed in stable condition at a nearby hospital. >> all right. it is 7:36. we want to check in with sal for an update on the commute,

especially southbound 101 in north bay. it was completely stopped when we last checked with jade. i imagine it must be a really long stretch of backed up traffic there. >> that's right. let's get right to the picture. southbound 101 -- in fact, they are moving the debris left over from the accident. so they've just opened the lanes on southbound 101, they managed to get the truck off the road and took it off the ramp on lincoln. they are about to open these lanes. as a matter of fact, as they clean up the debris, they are gonna ask us to move here. southbound 101 is backed up into sonoma county this morning. it's a huge backup. all of the lanes are gonna be reopen. they just need a few more minutes to sweep the debris out from the lanes and they are gonna open the lanes here on southbound 101. but the damage is didn't if you are driving from novato and getting onto san rafael, you have to give yourself extra time. if you have the luxury of putting that trip off, if you can do it, you should probably

snowboarding at north star when he became separated from his friend. his body was found and it's not clear if he crashed into the tree or suffocated after hitting a snowbank. a third bay area pharmacy has been robbed now and what investigators say is a crime spree fueled by drugs. last night a pharmacy in pleasant hill was formed and over the past week and a half, pharmacies in concord and clayton have been hit. now, police in clayton say a whiteman in his 30s wearing a beanie and sunglasses walked right through the front -- front door of a cvs last friday and headed straight to the pharmacy. they say in every store, he was only after one thing. >> he had what we call unforgiving, any -- the opiates build a rapid tolerance and that means you will need more for the same effect. there's no end for that. >> police say he was after the

cough syrup that contains codeine. very addictive. we spoke to the drug rehab counselor who says the codeine syrup causes the same effects of heroin. it can lead to very dangerous and violent behavior. police departments from all you a three -- from all three cities are working on this case. residents in vallejo are blaming a limited police presence for an increase in prostitution in their city. the-- the police department says the number of officers on streets have gone from 155 to 90 since the city filed for bankruptcy and since the cut, more prostitutes have been seen along sonoma boulevard. so residents have formed what they are calling a ho-patrol. >> we establish a presence and take back our neighborhood. >> the patrol takes pictures and documents where they spend their time. then they turn the information over to police and say this makes it easier to track the

will be in stop and go traffic. also, 580 to livermore looks okay. 880 northbound looks fine. but we do have a new accident reported northbound 880 near mission boulevard. truck went through the fence there. now at 7:55, we're looking at the bay bridge, the traffic is backed up here for a 15-minute wait. less go to steve -- let's go to steve. all right, sal. there's a still a pocket of rain hanging over marin county most of the moving hours. there it is, right there. it looks like it's decreasing but it's not going anywhere. there's also a line of showers that's been forming out again from about pittsburgh antioch, clayton back to the peninsula. you can see it stretching there. and also the south bay, the santa cruz mountains has been dealing with some rain. it look like it's decreasing towards morgan hill. still hanging back towards the santa cruz coastline and also the santa cruz mountains. we've had some okay rain

and end to it. there's lines starting to stretch, back over towards the south bay where they are dealing with in the santa cruz mountains back over to san jose. very windy. we've had gusts to 50. here's sal. steve, avenue we -- we've had a bad morning on the bay area freeways. contra costa county is busy, alameda traffic 580, 880 heading south. i want to show you marin county via the map system because we've had very busy traffic from well below the marin/sonoma county line all the way up to petaluma because of that earlier truck zest. the accident causing problems along southbound 101. that's where jade hernandez is live right now along highway 101. jade? >> reporter: you are right, sal. the southbound lanes did reopen but you can see that still means slow traffic right here. i want you to take a look here. we do have video. moments after our live shot we

saw the big rig that caused the problem. this incident happened at 5:40. we saw the trailer being rehitched to a rig and being driven off the freeway. that was two hours after the incident happened. we were told by the chp that rain didn't cause the incident. but that big -- but that big rig caused the accident when it lost the trailer. no one was hurt in the accidents. the driver of the big rig wasn't hurt and the two drivers in the minor accident that followed also, not injured. but computers this morning -- commuters this morning, i want it bring you live out here, still very, very slow. we're monitoring the situation because traffic all morring has been slow because of the rain. they've dealt with high wind advisories on the bay bridge, dumbarton bridge, san mateo

$9.83 a gal be. we called the chevron station, one of the employees told us, those numbers are transposed. the real price is $3.89. he says the sign is electronically generated from another location and he can't fix it, ka change. the other two grades of gas you see there are priced a mott -- are priced at more than $4 a gallon. the sign says $9.83. are you charged that? >> that's the question. that's question. >> i guess a lot of people don't want to check that -- take that chance. okay. let's check in with sal who has been very busy this morning. really treacherous driving out there. >> it's been bad. a lot of the times, the crashes are not caused by the wet weather. the backups are made worse by it. let's take a look at 880 and 101. pretty slow traffic. for the most part we've not had any major crashes. i want to move the map down to

the right here. there is a new crash northbound 880 at mission boulevard where a truck went through the fence and emergency vehicles are on the frontage area. driving from union city to fremont, you will see the emergency vehicle activity and it's slowing traffic. if you are on your way down to 237, you -- 237 you will wonder whyis slow. moving to contra costa county, pretty heavy traffic from concord all the way down to san ramon. live pictures, 101 southbound in san rafael. it's backed up because of that earlier problem we had on the freeway here at lincoln. we had a truck crash here. southbound 101 traffic is very, very slow coming up and over the hill into central san rafael, it stretches way back into sonoma county. this morning's drive at the bay bridge toll plaza that's packed up for about a 20-minute delay.

we're full strength today on the traffic. >> yes, we are, sal, and for the weather, too. there's still plenty of plain. it's very mild out. we are seeing mid-50s for temperatures. our system is plowing through right now. it should go through the next hour or so. as we stretch it out for today. we'll get some sunbreaks later on. breezy, blustery. occasionally. one hangs out in marin county and doesn't seem to want to move. friday looks okay. saturday will start off okay. sunday looks like rain for everybody. the rain saturday night should be mainly in the north bay.

watch how -- right there, the little cell in marin county keeps going and going. also down towards the santa cruz mountains and a line stretching from the east bay right back over the san mateo bridge a littleby. scattered showers over highway 92 and then over to half moon bay. nothing too heavy but there is a line forming there. livermore, 57. hayward, 56. concord, 56. much milder air mass in place. we're still getting the south wind. coming in. once the system goes through, you can see little cells here come flying in. floats and -- floats to 50s -- 40s to 50s. once the front goes through we'll get more of a north-

we're following breaking news from frankfurt, germany. shots were fired from a bus carrying american troops outside the frankfurt airport, which is the second busiest hub in europe. reportedly two people were shot and killed. we can't confirm whether they are american troops right now. we're getting conflicting reports it may have been a bus driver and someone else on there, but there are reports of at least two people shot and killed. we're also getting a report that the shooter is in custody. now this is happening as we get this information in. we don't even know too much else right now. but we'll bring you details as soon as they become available. in washington, d.c., federal investigators are trying to find out why people in san bruno didn't know there was a gas pipeline running under their neighborhood. ktvu's alison burns joins us live from our d.c. bureau about

what's being revealed in day two of the three-day hearing about the pipeline explosion. alison? >> reporter: tori, let's get a live look at the hearing. the san bruno fire chief, dennis hague, said the fire department did not know about the pipeline before the explosion. eight people were killed and dozens of homes destroyed in the disaster. just a few minutes ago, chief hague talked about the fact that local residents were not informed about the pipeline. >> they had no idea about the pipeline. there's something that has to be done to make that right. >> reporter: a top pg&e official conceded this morning that it had not formally notified first responder about the existence of the pipeline. chief hague said the department would have done more disaster planning, had it known about it. chief hague also said the response would have been different if pg&e had been able to shut off the flow of gas more likely. live team coverage washington, d.c., alison burns, ktvu channel 2 news.

charges. this started very early, saturday morning, in man teak cau, but it ended here in the bay area. the woman said she first got in front of the van trying to keep her husband from driving off after they had an argument. but he didn't stop. she ended up on the roof, the hood of the car. >> i was holding on literally by the tips of my fingers and basically by my ageles -- ankles. now i know it was the stewed iist thing in my life -- stupidest thick in my life i've done. >> police say the man finally slowed down in pleasanton, allowing the would to roll of van. witnesses who actually saw this helped take her to a hospital. that's where she was treated for trains -- scrapes and hypothermia. as' owner, lou wolfe, cannot wait to hire a moving

van and move to san jose. he can move to san jose in three years once he gains permission from mlb to move the team to the san jose. and he's opposed the -- aghast the giants are opposing the  move. there's no sign they are ready to budge. the giants are reportedly running out of patient shens with their highest-paid player. pitcher barry zito is having a rough spring training. they say he's far from safe. the team may be willing to buy out his huge contract, $18 million a year. zito was left off the postseason roster. you may remember last fall the giants won the world series. the largest winery in mendocino county could be in new hands by next month. a wine producer in chile is

a school teacher in atherton is on paid leave after he rattled a table to get his students' attention. this happened yesterday at selby lane school. investigators say one of the students was so startled by this, she called the police. but other students apparently weren't upset by it at all. however, the redwood city school district placed that teacher on leave because the police were called in. mickey rooney will testify on capitol hill before the senate's special committee on aging which is looking into elder abuse. the 90-year-old actor has accused his stepchildren of mismanaging his money and threatening him. rooney also claims he's been denied food and medicine. a judge has issued a

restraining order in the case with a hearing scheduled next month. soaring gas prices are driving some people to fill up illegally. police in south carolina say there have been at least five incidents from of gas stealing. police say the people drill holes through gas tanks and drab out the gas. most people don't realize there is a hole in the tank until their next trip to the gas station. it can cost about $1,000 to repair the damage. >> wow. >> that must be frustrating, you keep filling and filling and -- >> yeah. sal's been -- i haven't asked you about the toll plaza. >> yeah. it's been pretty busy, dave. the first thing we're gonna look at is marin county. along southbound 101 very heavy traffic. down to taupe -- sorry, to the

southbound 101, you are looking at a live picture of traffic in san rafael, still recovering from an earlier truck crash. it happened near lincoln. it was on the freeway for about an hour. these are pictures taken earlier this morning. the truck was loaded with lumber. it came off its cab and what happened there was they had to get the truck out of the way. the load shifted. they had to shift it back. it took them quite a while to do it. the crash really creating a huge backup. we'll have another update in a few minutes. 8:29. today's been labeled "a day of action." students and teachers at oakland high school wrapped up a demonstration before their classes. ktvu's claudine wong has more on what else is being planned for today, a busy day, claudine. >> reporter: it is a busy day filled with protests. most of them will be out midday. these are the leaflets being

handed out trying to get the message out today about cuts. about 15 minutes ago, there were a couple of dozens of teachers and students out there. they were holding out signs and handing out leaflets to the parents dropping kids off. this is just the start of the day. the oakland unified school district actually put out a note about events, urging kids to stay in school. but it is an emergency bill symbolic of the situations school directions across the state are facing because of budget cuts. we've also learned at oakland high school we're learning that the kids want to talk walk out -- to walk out. that's not something that the

teachers and principals condone. the students want to walk out and say hopefully more people will listen if they do. claudine wong, back to you. >> thank you. 8:30. well a uc davis student arrested back in 2009 during student protests is now suing. brianna holmes is accusing uc davis police and the yellow county sheriff's department of excessive force. now she was accused of a -- of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. this case went to trial but it was dismissed after a jury could not come up with a verdict. ms.holmes claims she was an innocent bystander in the protest. now she's seeking unspecified damages. >> it's a sure bet. ktvu sources say steve jobs will be at the big ipad ii unveiling later this morning. tom vacar will also be there. tom joins us with a presue of what kind of -- preview of what kind of features might be seen

man. homicide detectives, they are now involved in this accident but police won't say any comments or reports that the man was shot to death. a young mother from santa rosa is facing drunk driving charges after a very serious roll over crash last night that injured her children. look at the pictures. now, the serious accident happened last night on laughlin road. not far from the sonoma county airport. the chp says 23-year-old christen a -- gal lin was behind the wheel of a speeding suv that flew off the road, flynned over and smashed into a guardrail. the woman and two of her children were actually thrown from the vehicle. that young mother now faces some very serious charge. for a parent to get in the vehicle with their children, if, in fact, you know, they are intoxicate, then you bring in charges of child endangerment and stuff like that. >> a 4-year-old girl was the most seriously injured. she was airlifted to children's

hospital in oakland. the mother and her 6-year-old -- and the 6-year-old daughter they are being treated at santa rosa memorial hospital. a 2-year-old child was found unhurt, still trapped in his car seat, trapped -- strapped in his car seat. and all of them are expected to survive. two firefighters are recovering after being hurt while fighting a house fire in alamo. this is new video the fire department gave us. the officials say the fire farther -- started around 8:30 last night on the second floor before spreading to -- to the attic and roof. two firefighters were taken to the hospital. one suffered cuts to his hands the other had injuries to his head. berkeley police arrested a man they say hit -- they say hit an officer in his car.

they were looking for his car. a police located the car, approached the suspect and he ran him over. the officer is in the hospital. let's go to sal. breaking news. something just happened to caltrain. >> one of the trains came into san francisco and ran into the track stopper. it runs out at -- out at the caltrain station. one of the trains came in, i guess going too fast and bumped that track stopper thing which is bolted into the ground. and several people fell off the -- they were standing on the train, they fell down. i-- these are reports from twitter and some people have posted pictures on it. we're just fining out about this -- finding out about this. sanfrancisco fire department is responding. we know that for sure. but these are coming in from twitter reports. several people have done it. it sounds credible that someone has been hurt. we'll let you know more. let's take a look at 101. it's pretty rainy there.

dozens of federal agents have converged on a card club in elleryville. it's part of -- emeryville. it's part of a crackdown. kraig debro is there now and just spoke to a spokesperson from the irs. craig, what have you learned? >> reporter: well -- kraig, what have you learned from the spokesperson? >> reporter: not much except she can't say much. this is the club behind me. there's two locations in the club. 2001 is the dining hall. the other is the -- one is the dining hall the other is the casino. all she could say there's several law enforcement agents here. it all happened at 6:00 a.m. at the club, right around the corner from pixar studios. people inside the club say they were scare and shocked by what they saw. the irs agents wouldn't say why they were raiding the club or if anyone was arrested. the feds say the warrants under seal should be available tomorrow. customers we talked to said the

agents were talking to -- were asking specific questions. >> did i seek any cheating or loan sharking or did anybody ever ask me did i need a loan or anything like that? i told them no. >> what about drugs? >> they asked if i had ever seen some drug deals. >> yeah. fbi! oakland police! everybody's here. almost like -- there's so many, it's like -- each person had one police officer. >> reporter: the irs agent did say this was one of at least -- two places that were being raided. multiple places around the bay area. for what reason, we don't know. i've actually been in contact with an extended member. the owner and the family is very surprise and very shocked by what's going on here.
