right? >> reporter: more than a little pond. i think this thing has its own tidal wave schedule. that is only part of it. let me toss this rock in there and see what it does. that is a pretty big puzzle right there. i walked end to end it's almost 100 feet. it goes all the way down from that parking lot to two sections of the parking lot. i have been talking to a man that has been parking his cab here for 15 years. around 1:30 cal tran was called out here. both of the lanes were blocked by the flooding. the chp says it is safe to drive through. as far as the parking lot you park at your own risk. people know to park up in the upper section of the parking lot when it gets like that. we will hear a little bit more

from that taxi club driver and experience being here over the years and seeing that much water. reporting live kraig debro. more than 4,000 pg&e customers are still in the dark after storm related outages. we just got off the phone with pg&e they tell us most of the outages are in the north bay with 3700 customers effected. in the east bay it's less than 700 customers. the number is smaller in the south bay with only 40 customers. on the peninsula it's 20 customers without power and in san francisco no customers are on the bunch. the last big winter storm blew through area leaving crews with a lot of cleanup for the first day of spring. this was the scene in berkeley yesterday where city workers work to clear 120-foot pine tree. when it crashed down the train

ripped a gas line over the meter. police evacuated people from nearby homes including wendy that works for pg&e. >> my guess is what we did was jackhammer this open and turn the valve off so it cut off gas to that home. >> now police say no one was injured and the gas leak was quickly urn control. they were also out in oakland. the national weather service says more snow, strong winds and rain with expected for last angeles and santa barbara county. also this morning specific coast highway in malibu is back open. that is after rock slides closed the home. flights out of bay area

welcome back. good morning, to you. 2.5 hours until sunrise. a little light rain outside your door this morning. some of us in the 30s. southern california was the site of a dramatic coast guard rescue during the weekend storm. a family was stranded yesterday after their sailboat broke free from its high waves. take a look at this. this is video from camera attached to the helmet of a coast guard rescue swimmer. you can see the two adults and two children including a six- month-old baby were on board that boat. a patrol boat picked them up and took them safely to shore. we have learned the identity of a pedestrian killed in a hit and run crash in san

santa cruz officials will be talking about their response to the tsunami. that will be held tonight at the police department it's from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. a physicist all talk about the science of tsunamis and they might effect people who live in the area. they will have the latest maps of which neighborhoods would be effected if another serge hits. intellect a portion of the tsunami damage reopened to boat traffic for a short time this weekend but rough weather yet the serge that hit on march 11th caused more than $46 million in damage. it's coming up on 5:00 let's check in with sal. >> traffic is moving along
