chauncey bailey. devaughndre broussard testified that yusef bey disliked chauncey bailey because of articles. and yusef bey ordered him to call another man because he is related to the man who killed his brother. yusef bey is facing three murder charges for the killings of chauncey bailey and two other men. devaughndre broussard is serving for those murders. antoine mackey is also on trial along side yusef bey. embarrassing details about changes in barry bonds body took place today. kimberly bell said he developed acne and his testicles shrank.

mike murphy testified his hat size grew in 2002. these changes of r evidence of steroid use. property assessors arrived today in a neighborhood on the edge of a mudslide. assessors surveyed the damage on a half dozen homes. in santa cruz county work continued on a access road stuck behind a rock slide. the ground is too unstable to begin fixing that slide. the california geological survey showed us this map. the highlight areas are at risk for the same kind of slides we saw this week. ktvu's moreen -- maureen naylor is live. >> reporter: areas of concern, belong with the hills here in

south san jose. numerous land slides occurred over the last few centuries. in this hot spot you have homes built into the hillside. before construction began on this home in the hills, strict building codes required a soil engineer analyze the property. >> they analyzed the spot and gave the recommendations on how to make the foundation. >> reporter: slide concerns required crews move huge chunks of land. more people are threatened by land slides each year because of hillside developments. >> there ralot of places in california where we have steep slopes and they are prone to sland slides. >> reporter: scientists showed us which locations are most susceptible to land slides.

libya. the presidented the decision to attack moammar gadhafi's forces was made only after thousands of lives were at risk and an international outcry to support the libyan people. and forces were about to carry about another brutal attack. >> the united states of america is different. as president i refuse to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action. >> reporter: john mccain spoke after the president. he said in general he supported president obama's effort but he also questioned why the president wanted moammar gadhafi out of power but wouldn't commit to a military plan for a regime plan. >> if we end up where moammar gadhafi could cling to power we could see a reenactment of what happened after the first gulf

radioactive. in sacramento a committee approved a bill requiring online retailers to collect sales tax from buyers in california. it bill will increase state revenues. opponentsthog bill will put thousands of californians out of work. amazon and overstalk threatened to cut ties if the bill passes. ebay agreed to buy gsi commerce. gsi provides interactive marketing services to companies. the dow lost 23 points today. the nasdaq dropped 12.

pg&e says cruise will work through the night making repairs on a man hole that exploded today in san francisco. witnesses reported hearing a loud bomb and saw smoke coming out of the man hole. >> generated pressure and when there is a pressure build up it causes the cover to come off.

>> no injuries or damage was reported. pg&e says it is installing new covers in the city to vent and prevent pressure. the commission asked pg&e to defend itself for failing to hand over documents about pipeline safety. >> the important thing here is to get to the place where pg&e itself and this commission and the broader public can be assured that pg&e's gas system is safe. >> the hearing was to determine if they should be held in contempt. if it is pg&e agreed to an immediate $3 million fine and another $3 million if it fails to meet future deadlines. how workers proceeding on the tunnel project, ktvu channel 2 news cameras were the only ones allowed inside today.

the construction company is drilling into the hillside because of the risk of poisonsis explosive gases. crews have a ways to go before carving out the entire tunnel. >> another 9 feet. 15 feet on the sides. >> if all goes as scheduled, it will be finished in the fall of 2013. businesses may be about to close for good. ktvu's janine d talked to them about the flood damage, their losses and what they plan to do next. >> reporter: everywhere you look you can see garbage and debris on the streets. right there you see, those are employees taking a break after work hard all day. across the street, there are some workers that are still cleaning up with their brooms there you see. all this damage and clean up will cost a lot of money and

insurance may not cover it all. >> reporter: this is the time of year they gear up for spring break, but instead -- >> you feel like you have been in a war. >> stores are in disarray. debris is everywhere. he says the store has been closed for four days and it's costing him thousands. >> i am hoping your insurance, we could get coverage. >> some owners are closing for good. others vow to make it through no matter what. >> reporter: do you have insurance? >> no. that means i am going to have to face tough times. >> drainage pipe broke and flooded the village. it happened again over the weekend. >> we are concerned about any future rains that would come in. we want to get a pipe back in the ground so we could move water down to the ocean.

. doctors are warning of a link between teen depression and facebook. they just put out guidelines for teens. researchers liken facebook to a popularity contest. especially for young people already dealing with poor self- esteem. parents are encouraged to keep an eye out for depression, cyberbullying and other online risks. baseball is back in the bay area. >> if you are a baseball fan, you can taste it. baseball season around the corner. giants and a's in san francisco and the giants have a new problem for them over the past couple of years. too much talent on the roster.
