officially in downtown san francisco. won't take long. windy conditions in the higher elevations. not too bad at the surface but there's a northerly component. with lows in the 50s to near 60 won't take along to get into the 80s. six record highs yesterday. we could double that today. more coming up in five minutes. now sal with an update on traffic. good morning. traffic is moving along on westbound highway 4 looks pretty good. it's already getting busy on 4 coming up into the antioch city limits and stays that way out to pittsburgh. this is a look at 24 westbound. traffic is a little busier but still okay on the way to oakland. 6:01. back to the desk. thank you, sal. topping our news this morning another crumbling hillside has some people in a mobile home community on edge. ktvu's kraig debro is in mountain view this morning where some people once again forced to leave their homes. kraig. >> reporter: good morning, pam. one good thing about this is that they are mobile homes. on the other hand, not all mobile homes are actually
6:02 am
really mobile. so that's a problem homeowners are going to have to deal with. the homes people are talking about are located way in the back of the mobile home park in mountain view. later this morning we're going to be able to take you there and show you the problem firsthand. we're going to try to do that without disturbing neighbors. ktvu's learned that the owners of the mobile home park foresaw a problem during winter storms seven years ago in 2004. last week some of their fears became reality when 15 feet of three backyards crumbled into steven's creek. the result, the people in at least three mobile homes are evacuated. the county says the homes themselves are unsafe. one resident says the whole thing happened very quickly. >> on friday when i came home last week that's when we start today see the tags on the houses. and then started to notice something was going on. but it actually started on a wednesday from what i hear. >> reporter: according to a published report the mobile home park owns the creek itself. so if the residents here at the mobile home park want a retaining wall some of them have been asking the banks of
6:03 am
that creek. the money to do that would have to come from the homeowners pockets. no response from the management of sierra village mobile home park. we try today reach them last night, no response this morning. it is still too early. live in mountain view, kraig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. the city of san pablo is getting close tore declaring a local state of emergency. this is in response to the recent landslides there that have forced people out of their homes. last week heavy rain soaked the hillside between wyman street and hill crest road. at least six homes have been effected. two are considered unsafe to live in. by declaring a state of emergency the city will have access to government funds and can start to rebuild. well, over in capitol will crews are working around the clock to repair a broken pipe. last week's storms caused the pipe to break flooding a nearby mobile home park and businesses. so far the damage is estimated at $10 million. but that number is expected to be even higher.
6:04 am
so far crews do not have a time line on the repair work, but people in the area certainly are hoping a new pipe will be in place before anymore rain hits. it could take two weeks to clear a stretch of highway 101 in hum bolt county. a massive mud slide is now blocking all four lanes of the road just north of garberville. it's also causing the road to buckle. now the slide came down yesterday morning. chp says it may be able to open one lane possibly some time this week. three nearby schools are closed for the rest of the week because of concerns about transportation and food delivery. slide is also effecting a nearby hospital forcing patients to be sent elsewhere. time now 6:04. deputies are still patrolling an area of north richmond after an overnight shooting. one man was killed, another one was hurt. about 9:30 last night officers were called to third and grove streets. now police say when they got there 21-year-old irvin was

6:11 am
settle in and record highs are likely. mostly sunny on friday but not as warm as we see an increase in some of that coastal fog. and then saturday cooler. system slices through that time will give us clouds, breezy conditions. take that into sunday. but monday looks warmer again. all right. steve, thank you. time now 6:10. this morning a 14-year-old boy, an at risk child, still missing after union city police searched for him all night. ktvu's tara moriarty live with more on the details about this young child and why he's considered at risk. good morning, tara. >> reporter: we just spoke to union city police this morning and they say this boy is considered at risk is because the last time he was seen he was extremely distraught and not wearing very much clothing. we have a flier to show you of him. his name is kenny stevenson. he's 5'10", 145 pounds, part asian and part white. now kenny was last seen in the area of pioneer school. he was disappeared some time after 10:00.
