move over when they see an emergenciy vehicle pulled over with lights flashing. . >> if you can't move over you need to slow down. be very, very aware and aware of what's going on. >> the officer is listed in good condition and was set to have surgery on his leg today. >> jurors will be become on monday in the bond's perjury trial. he came and went twice at the federal building today. the juror had asked to rehear testimony from his former shopper saying she saw bond's train reinject him. they also wanted to rehear a tape-recording of anderson talking about where he injected bonds. also today anderson was released from the federal correctional institution in dublin as the jury started its dislikes. anderson was found in contempt of court and jailed at the beginning of the trial for refusing to testify. anderson may have been the smoking gun for prosecutors had

denounced last week's attack on a giants fan. he said the two men behind the attack aren't fans, they are nothing more than common criminals. the giants honored the victim of the attack with a moment of reflection before today's game. stowe's family includes his two children got to attend the game. monday's game against the dodgers will be dedicated to him and donation also be collected. so far nearly $300,000 has been raised to help with his medical bills. is he in a coma in los angeles. >> the berkeley baseball team has survived the budget axe. the university said today the program will be saved because of a massive fundraising effort. people have pledged $9 million. the commitments were presented today to the chancellor. the goal was to raise ten million dollars for the team. the team is currently ranked 13th in the nation.

>> the white house and leaders meeting right now as a government shut down looms in less than three hours. congress must strike a deal on the budget before 9:00 our time. the times is reporting leaders and white house officials were on their way to resolving a key sticking point. the deal isn't final but the two sides have agreed on $38 billion in cuts. republicans say it all comes down to those spending cuts while democrats say republicans are holding up the agreement over funding for health services. a government shut down exempts critical people and services such as law enforcement but that doesn't include the military. tom is live outside travis air force base with what people are saying there. >> reporter: we are more than 10,000 families alone right here are impacted. if congress let this is happen denying soldiers, and airmen their pay many say it'll be congress that is in for a hard

landing. >> that is ridiculous. my son is in the military. is he getting ready to go to afghanistan and i just think it's horrible that they are fighting for us for our freedom and we aren't going to pay them? >> reporter: members of the melt said they have been told not to talk to us but folks say they will speak for them. >> it's bad for the kids too because there is no money. they have kids, i got kids. how do we take care of them with no money. >> we see them every day in and out and you know the families have come up to us and -- they are struggling as it is. >> reporter: what law would these folks pass regarding military pay in the event of another government shut town down? >> they need to get paid at least at the minimum they should be paid. they have to. it's necessary. who protects us. >> reporter: and congress, yes congress, will still get paid. >> what are they doing to

focused in the southern half of the state. as we come in closer to the bay area little bit of activity but not to much. i noticed the decrease, rapid decrease in the showers but still a few lingering pop up showers close to redwood city and just outside of fremont and union city as well. here is a look at the weather story for tonight. we will have scattered clouds, hold on to the chance of a shower for this evening. this weekend cold morning bus it'll be dry, partly cloudy, temperatures on the mild side. tomorrow morning though off to a very cold start. coolest with patchy frost, santa rosa and napa, san francisco 45 and livermore around 35 degrees. overnight the storm will continue to move out to the south. it's close to -- you can see it heading down toward southern california and high pressure rebuilds and warmer for the weekend. we are talking about more 60's tomorrow and then by sunday this system moves in.

higher clouds moving in to the bay area for sunday afternoon. here is the forecast showing rain showers right now. look what happens by tomorrow morning. completely dry, lingering activity over the sierra and then into sunday for the second half of the weekend and increase in the high clouds, rain showers up to the north and there is the possibility we could have a few sprinkles or light showers. that would be for late sunday night into monday morning. tomorrow morning on the cold side, mid-30s to the mid40s. by -- wind speeds from 15 to 25 miles an hour and temperatures warming up about 5 to 10 degrees so that means more 60s. here is a look ahead. the five-day forecast. looks good, just a few extra high clouds out to the cold starts, saturday into sunday morning, chance of a few light showers or just a few sprinkles on monday mostly for the morning and looks pretty good for tuesday and wednesday and

november. longest home opener -- four hours, 24 minutes all is well that ends well. here in the day the giants celebrated a great pregame ceremony and brian wilson ran out and helped race that world championship flag that will roll above at&t. the giants get on the board in the third. tejada his first at bat as a giant, pat burrell follow that with a shot later. his third of the year. he has four hits three of them have been home runs and they get the 3-1 lead. they go into the 9th but wilson has some problems with two outs, nobody on base the cardinals are able to load the bases and ryan after fouling back eight pitches, tough at bat. two runs single and that put the cardinals in front 4-3 going to the bottom of the 9th.

the giants had two outs and nobody on base. they were able to come on and tie it themselves, pablo sandoval and then in the bottom of the 12th they win it as aaron who last year got the game winning hit does it again with a shot to deep left center. they call it a single and the giants have themselves a thrilling and very long victory and the fans still celebrating. let's talk about the a's. back in minnesota as they continue their road trip. anderson pitched well in to the 8th inning but the twins were able to string together several hits and joe winds up with a decider, base hit that scores a run and the twins wind win and. royry is leading the
