[ no audio ] light rain falling. >> all right, time now is 7:01. tons of people are in san francisco as the centennial race began. we see them running behind you, christian, we saw that live as they got underway. how is it looking out there? >> reporter: talk about your

timing, we started our show just as the corral started. this is a big one. 100th running of the beta breakers. there's some, there's a little nudity out here. i thought it would be a little too cold for that. i saw him right before he ran in front of the camera. the elite runners started actually about five minutes, maybe about five means, the elite women runners started before. the first runners, the winners are going to be crossing the finish line around 7:35. if you can believe it. this seven mile course, they're running, as if it's a sprint. really, a seven mile race is just a big sprint for them. i ran it one time, and running is a very generous way of putting it. i walked it, it was a blast. i wasn't a registered runner,

but the crowd last year, about 30,000 runners. about 30,000 bandits like me. you can see there is a ton of people out here, this is going to be a big, big race, as rosemary was saying earlier, the weather cleared up miraculously. looking nice, and sunny, and clear right now, so we're hoping for a fantastic race. live in san francisco, ktvu channel 2 news. >> the race winds through 17 different san francisco neighborhoods, not every san francisco resident is a fan of this race. but a lot of changes have been made to help them prevent any proves. >> reporter: we're on hayes and scott streets right along the race route. this is where we should start seeing these runners that you saw on christian's live shot. we can hear some boom of some of the music beyond us here on the race route. there's also some people dressed up in costumes out here, waiting to chair on the

racers as they go by. what we will not see among those runners are any floats. they've been banned from the race this year. so is alcohol. this is the first year in recent history those rules have been put in place. there are some race security staff members already here to enforce some of those rules. they are the people wearing these red shirts. i've been told, some of them, their job out here is specifically to stop any public urination. it's something neighbors have complained about for years. that's why these new rules are in place. >> it was awful. it was a nonstop fight with people to not pee in my doorway. we'll see how it goes this year. hopefully, it's not so bad. but i'm going to come out to watch it. >> they have asked, or suggested they don't sell liquor until after 12 noon.

>> reporter: this year, race organizers also listed the help of residents in the neighborhood. they're going to be wearing the brown shirts you see in the video. there are about 25 neighborhood volunteers signed up for the alameda square neighborhood. we've allege seen and -- also seen and heard several police cars patrolling the area. anyone caught drinking in this race will be taken to sobering tent. taken out of of the race so at the can sober up. we'll have more on this race coming up in about a half hour. time now is 7:05. san francisco police are investigationing a triple shooting. the gunfire broke out last night on appleton valley. so far, police are expected to release more information about the shooting later this morning. richmond police are

investigating a deadly shooting that happened outside an apartment complex on lancaster drive. witnesses reported hearing several gunshots in the area around 11:00 last night, when police arrived, they found a body inside a black lexus. police have not released information regarding suspects. in overnight news, a car smashed into a fire hydrant in oakland. it happened just after 2:30 a.m. take a look at those pictures. you can see that water high in the sky. it flooded that parking lot there. oakland firefighters were eventually able to shut off that hydrant. an overnight fire near a las vegas casino is under control this morning. a power transformer exploded about 12:30 a.m. the license former outage,

dealing with a few scattered showers. and we're chillier this morning. 44 santa rosa right now. 48 in napa. 49 in areas right around oakland. in san francisco, if you're headed out to see beta breakers, take a look at that, it is a chilly one. your satellite and radar showing you what occurred overnight, as we moved through the late evening hours and early morning, that steady ban of rain passed through. behind it, we have just the scattered showers. the center of circulation is what will bring us that unstable air, a as we roll through your sunday, leaving us the possibility of a few showers. when it comes to the moisture, there's not going to be a lot. even breaks in the clouds adding to the instability for our sunday. monday morning, we start to wake up, it looks like a gray sky. scattered showers possible. monday morning, another wave of

rain. so we're going to be with rain monday night. tuesday morning, still looking at some rain. really, nice night is when we finally begin to see that clearing. for today, temperatures will be cooler, looking from a quarter inch to three quarters of an inch of rain, and thunderstorms in the forecast. we will take a look at rain totals in a few minutes. 56, the afternoon high for san francisco. we're looking at 59 fore fremont. 59 in mountain view. extended forecast, not getting rid of the rain anytime soon, leaving you in that possibility today, tomorrow, tuesday finally drying out tuesday night. clearing out wednesday into thursday. our temperatures below average for this time of year. 50ss for the coast. low 60s inland, finally rebounding into the 70s on thursday. more again on those rain totals so far coming up were. right now, amgen tour of california organizers are

trying to decide if this year's race will take place at all. stormy weather, including wind gusts of up to 20 miles per hour and two inches of snow could make racing dangerous for cyclists. the options include delaying the race a few hours, or canceling the first stage altogether. let's take a look at the north star at tahoe resort. this is where the first stage is set to end this morning. it does look cold there. snow is on the ground, obviously, ice will be an thew sh morning, they're going to be looking closely at what weather is also headed that way. here's a look at the scheduled race route for the next few days. on monday, stage 2 takes cyclists from north lake tahoe to sacramento. tuesday, stage 3 starts in auburn sh and ends in modesto.

the bay area end, gets set on wednesday. it will take cyclists to mount hamilton, before it ends in san jose. four more stages before the race ends on may 22. we're going to be talking with the race directer in about 30 minutes. cycling fans may be driving a few extra miles to lake tahoe to catch the start of the amgen race. caltran closed highway 50 at echo summit earlier this week. crews are working on aging rock walls. drivers are being sent on what caltrans is calling a scenic 35- mile detour through gold country. that should add up to about an hour delay. the detour begins in sacramento, or placerville. then brings you to right 88, which takes you toward south lake tahoe. highway 50 will reopen in time

years, a gait on the morganza spill way in louisiana is open this morning, to prevent flooding. >> does it just keep rising? >> reporter: yeah, it does keep rising. this is what that spill way release will funnel into. but this is not any water yet coming from the mississippi river. this is the river basin that's flooded on its own. that's before any of that water gets there. they think that water will start to get to this area this afternoon. then it's going to rise for the next week and a half, probably about 7 to 8 feet in this area before it's said and done. but you can take a look at that boat out there, that should be dry land up to that boat dock, and it's not. it's completely flooded. all of these trees are flooded in areas that should be people's yards, instead it's

river. >> can you talk about the estimated 25,000 homeowners who are going to be impacted? people who own farms and farmland out there. >> they understand the decision that had to be made, it's not just new orleans and baton rouge, but oil refineries and chemical plants. it's a big deal they had to save those areas, but certainly a concern. if you remember last week, or a week and a half ago, up on the river in illinois, they decided to blow up some of the levees to release the pressure there. that affected about 100 homes. this is effecting 3,000 square miles and about 25,000 people. so much bigger story down here of people's lives who are being affected by this da version of water. >> are they having trouble with people saying i'm not going? i've heard reports of people saying, i'm staying. i know they've had warnings so they can get out. are they having problems getting people out. >> reporter: there have been places along the mississippi

river where that's been the case. for the most part, they're complying with what they're asking. take a look at this levee back here. this homeowner had the resources and the capacity to build a really substantial levee around his home to try to protect it. i can tell you in this community, it's the only thing like this i've seen go right next door, and they didn't build anything. they expect the water to get so high here, there's not really any point in sandbagging. they're getting their stuff, getting their family, and they'll come back out in 7 or 8 weeks and see what's left of their community. >> really unbelievable. thanks for reporting live for us from louisiana this morning. the head of the international monitor fund is being questioned for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman. a maid in a new york hotel says he attacked her. he has been seen as a possible

his decision leaves ron paul and newt gingrich as the only republicans officially in the race. the catholic university of america, awarded the agree to boehner at his commencement ceremony yesterday in washington, d.c. the house speaker pulled out a handkerchief after being emotional during the ceremony. he also teared up during his speech. >> so there you have it, humility, patience and faith, and always a few tears from me. >> boehner's visit to catholic university did bring some controversy. several faculty members sent him a sharp message this week, calling his voting record for the poor among the worst. those wearing the cap and gones. >> fired up, excited.

>> a 2011 uc berkely commencement was held yesterday. the prosession itself lasted two hours as 2400 graduates each heard their name read outloud before shaking the chancellor's hand. the good news is the job outlook, according to the national association of colleges and employers. companies will higher 19.3% more college graduates compared to last spring. just about two hours at 9:00 a.m., we could learn more about injured giant fan, bryan stow, and his condition. his family is scheduled to hold a news conference in los angeles. doctors have said stow is in critical condition, but has stabilized enough to be moved. stow is still in a coma, following his beating back in march, outside dodger stadium. two men suspected have not been caught. stow's family, friends and strangers came together for a peace rally in los angeles

yesterday. his sister and mother both' tended that rally, and his steer urged the -- sister urged the crowd to maintain peace, not violence. >> what you are in an act of violence, you're not just hurting that person, you're hurting family, friends, children. it has to stop. >> stow as mom also thanked the los angeles community for helping her family get through this ordeal, saying the city is like family. it happened again, high winds caused havoc at a children's party. a bounce house comes loose and flies away. this time, it was caught on tape. mostly sunny skies followed by brief downpours. all in your forecast for today, we'll explain, plus the extended, coming up.

breakers. first held back in 1912, was known as the cross city race. you see all the people crossing the line this morning. well, a man who got away during a police chase had a big surprise when he returned home, and found police officers waiting for him. the officers said they tried to pull over 41-year-old thomas white yesterday after seeing his suv speeding. officers say white eventually abandoned the vehicle and walked home, using evidence left behind during the chase, police located white's home address, and the 49-year-old was arrested and is being held on $55,000 bay. santa clara county is getting help this fire season. despite increased rainfall in the bay area, temperatures are going to rise. and that will dry out grass. fire officials are asking people to clear their

properties of vegetation in preparation for the summer. defense space was a problem for firefighters battling the fire in monterey. the brush fire broke out on a hillside. firefighters say homeowners had cut down dry vegetation around their homes and if they had not done that, firefighters would have a a much tougher time getting to the flames. another bounce house flying through the air in arizona. it's the third one since february. this latest one happened friday at a tucson park, during a fifth grade graduation party. you can see a massive cloud of dust starting to swirl around there. it picked up the inflatable castle, and wrapped it around a light bowl. five children received minor jeers from flying debris. i wasn't expecting to see the sun today, but we're seeing the sun, seeing some rain, a

the winter storm warning upgraded lasting through this evening. 4 to 8 inches of snow at some of the lower elevations. snow levels down to 3,000 feet for our local mountains as well. there's your extended forecast, it's going to be a chilly one. 48degrees right now. 56 in the afternoon. widespread 50s along the coast today. even upper 50s, approaching 60 for inland areas. so well below average. monday, by the evening hours, scattered showers back in the forecast. evening rain there. tapering off finally tuesday night. so between now and then, we're going to remain unsettled, finally drying out on wednesday, it will take that long before we bounce back with our temperatures as well. time now, 7:27, a brown bear caused a lot of panic in a new mexico neighborhood after it was spotted wandering around an apartment complex. it took two tranquilizer shots. it was seen last august after

it was discovered in another neighborhood. >> being in a city, getting to watch something like this, it was great. >> officials say the bear was likely hungry, and maybe came out of the mountains looking for food. taking advantage of a victim of violence, the identity this man is accused of using while trying to pull off a heist at a local bank. and the 100th annual running of the bay to breakers race is now underway. you can see that steady stream of runners. we're going to have a live report from there coming up.

three, two, one, go! >> they're off. 50,000 runners in a race unlike any other. they are pounding the pavement right now in san francisco on this, the 100th anniversary of the bay to breakers. welcome back to mornings on 2. we do have live team coverage of today's race, allie rasmus is keeping an eye on trouble spots around the route. >> first, let's go to kristin captain at the starting line. >> reporter: it is definitely a party atmosphere. i know they've talked about not having alcohol out here. but that doesn't mean the party is dead. there's a lot of people out here. tell me about your guys costume, clearly, you came with a theme in mind. >> hawaii 50, hawaiian punch.

i don't know, it's awesome. >> we're going to run a little bit of it, but we're more concerned with having a good time. >> the idea they're not going to have alcohol at the race this year, does that affect you? >> no. i've been there, done that. i've never run it. i'm going to have a good time. >> you came with a theme, an idea, where you coordinate all of this before. fun times? >> absolutely. my first one, i'm super excited. >> all right, it's a good one to go to. the 100th running of the bay to breakers. a lot of enthusiastic runners sh and a great start. that started around 6:55. the first runners could very well be crossing the finish line within just a couple of minutes. it takes about 30, 35 minutes for those elite runners. now we want to check in

with ktvu's allie rasmus, keeping an eye on the trouble, on those spots that have been trouble spots along the route in years past. >> reporter: we're on hayes and scotts streets. right on the race route. you can see all the runners racing by us right now, some in costume, some in regular running gear. this is a pretty active corner. a group of cheerleaders supporting the crowd, across the street from them, although, it's a little hard to see it. there is a group of san francisco police officers. race organizers say there is a larger police presence here this year. one of the things the officers are looking for is anyone with alcohol. alcohol drinking is not allowed in the race this year. the changes they've put in place after some of the neighbors here complained about problems with public drunkenness, and europeanation. this is a very residential neighborhood. people watching the race as it

goes by. this year, one of the things racers have done is enlist the help of the people in the neighborhood to keep an eye out father any problems here. volunteers wearing the brown shirts. >> people live here too. we're all in the same boat. this race is supposed to be good for everybody. so you've got to be mindful, and just respect the neighborhoods. that's all you can do. >> reporter: now race organizers say they've also added 40% more porta-potties along the race route. the hope is that that will also cut down on the problem of public urination. they've also talked to some of the grocery, and liquor owners in san francisco, they've asked them not to sell alcohol until afternoon. we don't know how many of those vendors are complying with that request. but race organizers say they're making an effort to improve things here. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2

news. caltran is expanding its service today for bay to breakers. trains leave at 1:10 and 2:10 this afternoon, but will not be stopping at the santa clara station because of construction. in more caltrain news, commuters can expect weekend express train service to stay in effect. they were added in january as part of a three month trial program. that program is a success. it cuts travel time between san francisco and san jose from over 90 minutes to a little less than an hour. san francisco police are looking for a person who they say is using the identity of a 74-year-old man killed in his mission district apartment this week. he was caught by an atm camera trying to access a bank

account. he has been seen driving a gold, or beige sedan. police want to question him about the homicide of jason williams, his body was found in his apartment. in vacaville, police are investigating the death of a man who's body was found inside a motel room. police responded to a motel six on lawrence drive yesterday afternoon. that's where a maid founded the body of an adult male inside a room. the man was a guest at that motel. police are not saying whether they're investigating the death as a homicide. a candlelight vigil will be held for devin carter. he left behind a wife and three small children. no one has been arrested. today's vigil will be held on lyndon street at 3:00. the oakland unified school district is being sued. back in january, school district police shot and killed a 20-year-old near joaquin

miller park. that's where the school dance was taking place. police say brown was sitting in a stolen car, and tried to stab an officer with a screwdriver. brown's family say police used excessive force. making the final decision for layoffs and other staff members. the mercury news reports seven teachers and three administrators are among those to be cut. but the district says it could bring back the employees if the budget situation improves. that may all depend on the bay revised budget. the governor will reveal whether he plans on continuing his efforts for an extension of temporary taxes or call for an all cuts budget. that would mean more cuts for schools. the sacramento bee reports brown is likely to maintain his call for an extension of those temporary taxes. the search was on for a man

struggling to stay afloat in the mare island strait. several people reported seeing the man waving and yelling for help before going under water. the coast guard did send boats and a helicopter to try to find the man, but they were unsuccessful. now to a story you will see only on 2. a piece of u.s. history that had been on display in oakland for decades has been stolen. a massive brace gun sport was snatched from lake side park. they discovered it had been knocked off its stand days before the theft, but never thought it would be stolen. crews were left behind, including tire tracks in the grass and wooden planks nearby. >> we're hoping that the people who own recycling centers and foundries will recognize this is our piece. how often does somebody come to

morning. it features cyclists battling it out on scenic california roadways. >> today is leg one of the race, with you organizers -- but organizers must decide if it will take place. we get stormy weather in the forecast, including wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. a couple inches of snow. a lot of options on the table. joining us on the phone is the race director. i know with have a 10:30 start. they're hoping for, how are things looking this morning? >> good morning. thank you. right now, we're still under snowy conditions here at south lake tahoe. we are assembling our team right now to discuss the parameters. we've had teams out all morning circumventing the lake. and identifying the icy spots. we're going to render a decision here pretty quickly on either a go, or a delayed start.

but as we take on what we're seeing right now, i anticipate that the decision will be made for a delayed start for the beginning of stage one. >> what are some of the biggest factors going into this decision? is it strictly the roadway? if the roadway is clear, is it more the winds up there? >> the road conditions are certainly our primary factor, but also the temperatures. not only you know, the riders are our number one safety, but also the public. under these conditions, it's just not save for these riders to put themselves out there and incure the four hours of inclement weather. >> i know you guys have said safety first from the beginning. i've been out there for the starts in sausalito, and you have the beautiful weather and not have to deal with this

stuff. is this going to effect any of the other legs of the race? if you cancel it, or delay it, how does that push anything else? >> nothing. if we go into the delay, we're still able to race. the timing, everything is going to stay the same. you still have the mountains. all the categories will be challenged, even if we have to go to a delayed start. >> are you saying that the race is delayed? or you have not made that decision? >> i mean, if you gave me another five minutes, our team would, is just waiting for me to break away from this call, and then i'm going to correct all the data, and we'll render a decision. >> can we ask you really quickly, why you think it's a delay, and not a cancelation? >> we're not going to cancel it, because as i said on this call, i'm starting to see the clouds break up, which is

something common here in the tahoe region. if we go to a delay, we'll have to see an abbreviated course. it won't be the full course. it will be abbreviated. call back in ten minutes, and give you the full story. >> thanks for your time, i know you're busy. joining us live on the phone there, we appreciate it jim, thanks again. a new marijuana tax is proving to be a promising new source of revenue for san jose. the city collected $290,000 in the first month of the 7% tax. the city implemented the tax on medical marijuana dispensaries in march, under a measure approved last november. the city could make an estimated $3.4 million a year from the tax. that revenue could drop as a result of a city council decision last month to reduce the number of pot clubs from more than 100, down to 10. the oakland mayor is continuing her push for a tax

to help close the city's $58 million tax deficit. the mayor says she's aware voters are concerned about having to pay the proposed five year tax. >> we had an earlier survey that said it had a very good chance of passing. that people think a quarter of a day for five years that they're willing to support that to make sure that the city is in good shape when the recession ends, and the recovery starts. >> the mayor says oakland would have to lay off another 300 city employees, close libraries, and firehouses if a tax is not passed. a mental hospital patient has been charged with attempted murder. police say he brutally beat a 61-year-old patient in the hospital monday night. it's one of a serious of attacks recently on hospital

patients. we spoke with nurses at the hospital who tell us, security improvements have been made, but more needs to be done to control violent patients. napa police are investigating a homemade bomb left inside a mailbox. that device was found early yesterday morning. a resident called police after hearing a loud explosion. there was no injuries, but the mailbox was damaged. they say often teenagers are responsible for creating these homemade devices, and call it a dangerous problem that appears to be growing. a father and his two sons are in jail this rng moo, accused of providing money to the taliban. a 76-year-old, iman and one of the seasons were arrested. at the same time, authorities arrested a second son. all three men are u.s. citizens, they are accused of

their fun out here. we're live here in san francisco at the 100th running of the bay to breakers. >> if you plan on driving in san francisco today, i want to show you a look at the route map. the elite runners took off a half hour ago. the route continues up to howard, and off the hayes street hill, and through golden gate park out to ocean beach. we've been talking about the changes aimed at curbing some of the trouble from past years. >> reporter: you can see these runners going through the neighborhood. they're going down hayes street. in addition to all the people wearing costumes in the race, you can see some of the spectators also have some pretty creative costumes out here. along with this atmosphere and celebration, there is also a security presence out here. over the crowd, you can see there are some san francisco

police officers. race organizers tell us, they have increased police presence out here this year. one of the things the officers are going to be looking for is anyone with alcohol. anyone drinking along the race route. alcohol is not permitted in this year's race, neither are floats. those in this neighborhood complained about problems with public drunkenness. this is a very residential neighborhood. there are people out here watching the race from their windows. even from the fourth or fifth floor of that tower next to us, there are people watching everything going on. this year, race organizers have enlisted the help of people who live around here. they have 25 neighborhood volunteers to keep an eye out, to report any problems. people in brown shirts walking around here. some of the neighbors we talked to say they were skeptical about whether these new efforts and new rules would actually work. >> i doubt it. the race is too massive. >> not too sure yet. i'm hoping it's going to be a little more low-key as far as

you're looking live at the 100th running of the bay to breakers. a live update for you in just about seven minutes. were unexpected strong winds are to blame for yet another bounce house flying through the air in arizona. you can see a bit of a cloud dug dust swirling around there. the wind wraps it around a light pole. parents and teachers were able to get the young students out in time. even sow, five children received minor injuries from flying debris. the shuttle endeavour is finally set for launch tomorrow morning. that launch had been delayed for more than two weeks because of an electrical malfunction. congresswoman gabrielle giffords will fly to florida

golden gate park out to ocean beach. >> how are things going, alley, any problems? >> reporter: no problems to report so far. we're on the race route in haight street. and they're going through the alamo square neighborhood. a lot of spectators have costumes. one thing a neighbor out here told me, they haven't seen people in floats stopping along the race route. the crowd seems to be moving along at a slow and steady pace. another thing out here is a security presence. san francisco police officers out here. they're looking for any alcohol, any spectators in the race, carrying containers or drinking. along with no floats, no alcohol is also one of the new rules this year. all of this happened after some of the people who lived on the race route complained about

public drunkenness, public urination. one of the things race organizers have done is work with those neighbors to develop these neighborhood association and volunteer groupsment there's about 25 of them here. along with the people celebrating out here. the volunteer coordinators are out here. how do these new rules seem to be working so far? >> so far, they're working out okay. we're cautiously optimistic in this intersection here behind me in past years, this is where all the floats would come over the haight street hill, and stop. it would be a huge traffic jam of intoxicated people and large floats that wouldn't move. as a result, we had enormous spillover. people urinating on front steps, doing lots of other stuff, damaging our park. this year, the fact that people are moving forward, and see our sign for the toilets and that they're using the toilets is really great. it makes us optimistic.

so we're hopeful. >> reporter: some people say part of the party atmosphere, there are some people upset that alcohol and floats aren't allowed. what do you say to them about the changes? >> to that i say, you know, it had reached a point, where it felt like a frat party gone bad. i used to run the bay to breakers every year. for the last three consecutive years i came out here with my kids, and we would turn around and go back. because it was at the tipping point where something bad would happen. last year, people were urinating on front steps and he's almost 80 years old and said don't do that and people would kick him. >> reporter: the people who live around here, say they have noticed some improvements. i can tell you, there have been a countrile of people in -- a

anyone with information with this homicide is asked to call union city police. in just about 30 minutes, we could learn more about injured giants fan bryan stow. the south bay paramedic is expected to be moved to san francisco general hospital tomorrow. stow is still in a coma, following his beating back in march outside dodger stadium. the two men suspected of the attack have not been caught. now to a story you will see only on 2. a piece of u.s. history that had been on display for decades has been stolen. city workers discovered the port hole had been knocked off its concrete stand days before the theft, but never thought it had actually been stolen.

breakers. time now, 8:45. several more gates could open up on the spill way in louisiana today. one of the spill way gates was opened yesterday. that was the first time that happened in 38 years. louisiana officials decided to start opening those gates to try to avoid levee failures that could have sent water rushing into new orleans and baton rouge. that water is headed towards rural louisiana. eventually, more than 300,000 square miles could be covered up with 25 feet of water. a woman in alabama is using facebook to show items that turned up in her yard from the flooding. she began posting pictures of the items on the facebook page she created. that allows other people to post their own pictures. so far, 4,000 pictures have been posted on that page. a nato service member has been killed in afghanistan.

the coalition has not released any details, except that it happened today, and was caused by a roadside bomb. 163 have died since the start of the year. violence continues in egypt this morning as tensions increase between christians and muslims. i want to show you some video from yesterday. which shows people on the streets of cairo in. the latest incident, an angry mob attacked christian protesters. it's unclear who the attackers are, or why they attacked demonstrators. a father and his two sons are in jail this morning, accused of providing money to the taliban. one of the arrests happened here in california. a 76-year-old iman was arrested. authorities arrested a second son. all three men are u.s.

an overnight fire near a las vegas casino is under control this morning. a power transformer exploded about 12:30 a.m., near the monte carlo casino and resort. it created power outages at city center and the monte carlo. interstate 15 was shut down for a short time because of poor visibility from the spoke. but it has reopened. guests were never evacuated, and no injuries were reported. a new farmers market will be held today at bos worth and diamond streets. it begins with a ribbon cutting
