the bay, san mateo and benicia, martinez bridges around midnight. the one for the san mateo bridge was cancelled about 10:00 this morning. in mill valley, rain and high tide caused 01 to flood last night. a woman stranded on top her car because of the water level had to be rescue -- rescued. the chp shut the ramp down because of two hours because of the flooding. be at weather is also bringing a spring snowstorm and warning. the warning will be in effect until tomorrow. high elevations in the sierra received about a foot and a half of new snow between sunday and monday night. they could see another foot by tomorrow. our meteorologist will have a complete forecast in just a few minutes. closing arkments were expected to begin today --

arguments were expected to begin to argue the your black muslim bakery murder. the prosecution has called nearly 70 witnesses including former bakery handyman, broussard. broussard testified that bey ordered him to kill bailey. tonight, the oakland city council will vote on whether to spend any more money on gang injunctions. these injunctions try to fight crime and restricting their movements to a certain area within the city. right now, only gang injunction that's in force is in north oakland. a new program involving community courts is being launched today in san francisco. kraig debro joins us live to explain how this concept will

amtrack chief wants to explore new technologies to give advanced warning about train secure secure -- train security in light of information that osama bin laden was considering an attack on u.s. trains. he says he's already expanded the use of bomb-sniffing dogs and is in close contact with security agencies. he says that train tracks are still vulnerable to attacks and

he would like to get more bomb- detection technology in place. thursday will be an emotional day in court as a teenager faces charges for the death of a small child. prosecutors say 18-year-old caidlin dunnaway was texting drive whiling -- texting while driving through a crosswalk lass december. her car hit and killed calli murray and seriously inconsiderred -- injured her mother. >> we should be talk -- dash tucking in my daughter at night, not me helping my wife get up the stairs and do everything, get in the shower. >> he says his wife is not ready to face the driver who hit and killed their little girl but he and other family members will be there. the 18-year-old faces a misdemeanor charge which has a maximum sentence of one year in jail. the murrays hope to change the law to make distracted driving a felony.

at 4:0 this afternoon, los angeles police will update the search for the two men who beat bryan stow. the tips came in and they increased dramatically after hundreds of these billboards went up on l.a. freeways. they show sketches of the suspects along with the reward money. a half-dozen gaels -- families in san san pablo are keeping an ancient eye on -- anxious eye on rains. that's because their home is near a landslide. >> reporter: there are six homes affected by the san pablo landslide. it's been six weeks of anxiety for the people who own them. >> it's scary. i'm by myself. >> reporter: wilma thompson hasn't seen her neighbors much.

taking a live look at the big board on wall street, the dow is getting hit pretty hard after a disappointing outlook from hewlett-packard. that stock is down around 7 -- almost 7.5%. and there's growing trepidation about the economy strength. the nasdaq is down 75. nasdaq is down about .5. s&p is down about 2. california gun advocates have suffered two setbacks. yesterday, the state assembly approved a crackdown on carrying unloaded handguns in public places. the so-called open carry bill now moves onto the senate.

rain. stage was yesterday. the first leg at lake tahoe was cancelled. the amgen tour is scheduled to come to the bay area tomorrow going from livermore to san jose. it's set to finish sunday in southern california. and people on the san francisco waterfront today saw two yachts sailing near the golden gate bridge. these are the 76 and the america. they give san francisco an idea of what the 2013 america's cup will look like. america's cup officials say two yachts will be in the bay area until september to help promote the 2013 competition. plans to remove an old oak tray will reportedly move ahead next week. neighbors had rallied to try to save the 300-year-old tree yesterday morning. some even tried to obtain a restraining order but didn't get it. the san francisco public utilities commission says the tree removal is part of seismic upgrading to the hetch hetchy
