topping our news, a search is intensifying in san francisco for a missing teenaged girl from danville. her bike was found near the golden gate bridge this morning. that's where sal castanedo joins us live to explain where the search is focusing and who is taking part. sal? >> reporter: tori, i want to show you that the federal park police, the united states park police, have celt up a mobile -- set up a mobile command center. dozens of people from allison's hometown of danville have showed up looking for her. she was last seen yesterday at san ramon valley high school in danville. she didn't show after school and her parents became worried. ktvu was first on the seen after her father acting on information from allie came here and found her bike. >> we discovered her bike here approximately a year ago and asked local law enforcement to bring all available resources

to look for her. >> reporter: the search team have been searching door to door and in the water since about:00 this morning -- about 6:00 this morning. family members and friends of the bayliss family are helping police do what they call a very methodical search. >> we started with around the beaches, the obviously places and now we're kind of going into a close-order search and expanding the search. she's now had 24 hours of being miss nowing. >> -- missing now. >> when infirst saw it on facebook, i quickly asked my friends to come and help. >> reporter: he says now that the facebook site has received 8,000 hits of people who are somehow helping online look for the search. we showed you the picture of allison. she's 15 years old. she was last seen wearing red

sweats, 130 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes. the fliers are all over the neighborhood and volunteers have recently spread out as far as ocean beach and lands end in search for her. live in san francisco, sal castanedo, ktvu channel 2 news. thank you, sal. >> in menlo park, police are looking for two men who attacked an elderly man in a violent home invasion robbery. it happened over the weekend along with two similar crimes. neighbors are still concerned today, kraig debro joins us with reaction from neighbors and an update on the man's condition. >> reporter: tori, we just talked with the man's caretaker. he just arrived here. he said the man is weak but recovering in the hospital. he's sleeping right now. according to police, the two men got in the house through that side door. they knocked down a garage door and got in the man's home. neighbors here are wondering who would beat a denseless 87-

ar-old man. >> a punk. a punk. >> we're in shock that something like this would happen, that two perpetrators would choose to beat up an 87- year-old man. >> reporter: police say the victim was beaten inside the kitchen of his hope. he con fronted aailants around 5:15 on sunday morning -- assailants around 5:15 on sunday morning. >> we didn't hear anything next door until after the fact. >> reporter: police say it doesn't look like the assailants took anything. the incident was so frightening, the neighbors started a neighborhood watch group that very night. >> so we could contact each other very quickly if we saw suspicious activity in the neighborhood. >> reporter: the method looks similar. meanwhile, there's another concern, their two small children. >> it's scary now that it's cloe social to home. i mean -- so close to home.

i mean, literally right next door. >> reporter: they are checking for similar-style break-ins. earlier this month, a 90-year- old woman was beaten inside her home. two men robbed and robbed her place. kraig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, kraig. right now, in san francisco, homicide investigators are at a home where four people were found dead this morning. three bodies of a man, a woman and a girl were found in a back yard pool -- in a backyard pool. another woman was found inside the bathtub a home. police say all four appear to be drowning victims and were pronounced dead at the scene. is unclear what caused them to drown. b.a.r.t. are consider the need for more tasers for officers. this will make it possible for each officer to have their own instead checking them out from a common pool.

replace 1,000 its oldest train cars. several rallies took place all around the bay area today with more to come this afternoon. it's part of a state-wide day of action in response to budget cuts to education. as jade hernandez reports, educators hope to increase awareness of the crisis facing california's public schools. another rally took place in san francisco. a group of parents and ect educate -- and educators gathered. most of them held signs urging no more cuts to school programsp and -- and some denounced furlough days. more rallies is set for -- for this afternoon across the state? in past hour, bryan stow's family sued the los angeles dodger. the suit specified -- did not specify the amount of damages. the family told espn "the dodgers have shown a total disregard for public safety. we contacted the dodgers but so far they've not responded." our news crews are reaching out to the family and we'll have a live report on the news at 5:00. just ahead -- the u.s. first family is spending the day with royalty. the pictures are ahead.

san leandro firefighters responded to a fire in a trailer park this morning in an un-- this morning in an unincorporated community between san leandro and hayward. firefighters got a call at 5:45 about a smoking area near blossom ware -- way. they had the fire under control 14 minutes later. firefighters say there's no injuries and no word on what started the fire. missouri authorities are bringing search-and-rescue dogs to the city of joplin. they are hoping to find more tornado survivors and they are in a suri. here's more. >> reporter: it's a race against time and mother nay chute -- nature in joplin, forecasters say more severe storms are on the horizon. rescuers working feverishly to comb every part of the city. >> a lot of it depends on the

>> no. gotta keep the sweaters handy. new muni projects in san francisco could be at risk all because of contentious contract negotiations between muni operators and the transit agency the operators union wants the federal government to withhold billions in funding if muni uses the latest proposition g passed in negotiations. prop g says arbitrators must consider how proposed contract -- contracts would affect fares and service. the union says that's illegal. today, caltrans will mark the opening of the final section of the carpool lane on a major east bay day. there is a ribbon-cutting ceremony between highway 4 and the carquinez bridge. caps says this will make it much easier and faster to get from emmy -- emeryville.
