firefighters are calling it a cooking fire. they say it broke out about 6:00 p.m. it destroyed about two rooms -- two rooms of furniture and belongings. this is all that's left of country star trace atkins' tennessee home. a fire broke out in their home. his wife says their children, nannies and home dogs were -- and dogs were inside at the time. they all got out safely. the family is sifting through the rubble for anything that's not destroyed. opening arguments set to begin in the arizona baseline killer trial. prosecutors say 46-year-old

welcome back. 7:30. a bloody, plastic bag containing humane remains found near a home in sunnyvale. ktvu's kraig debro, live now. there's new information from neighbors on exactly where this gruesome discovery was made. kraig? >> reporter: right, dave. residents here told us exactly where the body was found. this video gam raw -- camera right behind me could help police discover who put the body there and what time it happened. the body was discovered over there and two bushes and next to the sidewalk by a resident here in sunnyvale. if you look closely, there's evidence of what the neighborhood found. a bush is matted down and the stones in between the bushes are stained with a dark fluid. yesterday morning, a resident called police around 10:00 a.m. the resident said there was a

garbage bag. when police arrived, they opened the bag and found the body inside. >> we think it's an adult due to the size of the bag and the heftiness of the bag. >> reporter: police have not confirmed for us the exact location. i called one of the detectives working on this case. the county coroner set to do an autopsy confirmed the body's i.d. and cause of death. detectives and police have already canvassed this neighborhood and have actually gone to a nib shopping center asking people there at businesses whether or not they saw anything suspicious. police believe the bag was dropped off late knight or early sunday morning. they still don't know when but they also don't know the i.d. of the body. kraig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you, kraig. an autopsy will be conducted on an alameda man on

a -- who fell in the water. on sunday, witnesses say he was trying to climb the ladder to his boat when he fell in the water. the exact cause of death won't be known until the autopsy is complete. and we've now learned that the bicyclist who crashed this morning in san francisco is on life support. this is a street view of where the accident happened around 12:30 this morning. the black arrow shows the direction the 38-year-old bicyclist was traveling. police say he was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the concrete divider. the accident is still being investigated. but it does not appear any other vehicles were involved. the bicyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. a 4-year-old antioch boy is being treated at children's hospital in oakland after calling -- after falling out of a window. firefighters rushed to the

scene. they say the little boy was leaning up against a window screen to look out when he spell about 15 feet down onto concrete in the back yard. his condition is not known. an unprovoked killing in oakley happened over the weekend. police are looking looking -- police are looking at new scenes. it was here at this school that 21-year-old james dadio was shot and killed. police say it appears the shooter had no motive at all. now family members and friends are struggling to deal with this. >> i'm angry. it was senseless, i want to find out who did it. i mean, whoever did it is gonna pay. >> last night at this vigil, held at the park where he died, friends say had no known enemies. police say there was no altercation, no words exchanged before the shooting happened. they do say evidence was recovered at the crime scene and are following up on new leads. this is the city of oakley

>> reporter: that's right. police are coffering -- are offering a re-- a reward. the chief here says clearly it's a tragedy when anybody is killed, but especially when it's a 3-month-old. it really strikes -- really strikes at the heart of all of the community. last night about 50 people gathered for a vigil on wisteria drive. that's where the shooting happened. neighbors rallied together after hearing that a family of four from redwood city was leaving a baby shower around 1:00 in the morning on sunday, when two gunmen approached their car and started shooting. a bullet struck his head and he was killed. his brother was not hurt. >> we will be steadfast in tracking then down. it was the one thing that i promised the mother who tragically is still in the hospital. >> reporter: now, the mother and father were also shot and are in serious condition.

human remains were found inside of a garbage bag near sunnyvale. kraig doe bro is there when -- kraig debro is there with more. >> reporter: i want to show you very quickly. this is where the body was found yesterday morning. the neighbors are saying they believe they know what time the body was found there, based on who was out there at and what time. the body was called in around 10:00 a.m. when the police got here, in order to search for the -- for evidence, what they did, they lined up six across and they simply walked down the street in both directions to see if they could find any clues.

it hatched saturday afternoon on highway in 1 aptos. the chp says the driver of a green sedan swished off the road, crashed into a tree and ran away. that accident caused another car to crash, causing two serious injuries. the chp is causing witnesses -- is the chp is asking witnesses to step forward. three men were rushed to the hospital early saturday morning after a shooting in a parking lot near webster and 13th street. one of the victims reportedly incredible -- in critical condition. in a separate incident, a mass was shot in the back. reportedly this happened at a house party. and a 52-year-old man was found shot in east oakland on saturday night. police are searching for a gunman who robbed a game stop store. this happened around 6:00 last night. police say the robber had a silver gun, escaped with an unknown amount of cash.

the suspect is described as an african-american in his early 30s. had a medium build. he was wearing a gray adidas cap and a black jacket. customers at a san francisco dmv office are protesting about a new policy aimed at cutting down on delays. until recently, the dmv office on feld street had two separate lines to come in on either side of the building. but new managers have console dated that na one single line and now customers have to line up outside regardless of the weather. pg&e is testing the safety of 150 miles of pipeline and tomorrow, they had -- tomorrow they head to south san francisco. we're hearing -- we are hearing they've been prepping the area by ventilating out the natural
