quick thinking will help lead them to her assailant. a vigil for michelle le will take place in a couple of hours. tonight's vigil takes place at mount eden's park. another vigil is set for tomorrow night in san diego. that's where le grew up. today an indent arbitrator met with union operators and muni. the contract seeks to freeze wages for three years and allow the use of part time drivers to reduce costs. an arbitrator will now decide the terms of a contract.

this past week and two others recently in oakland. in an effort to keep children out of trouble and cut the city's homicide rate, oakland leaders today announced an effort to give teens and young adults a safe place to go on weekend nights this summer. the program will offer late night programs at mcclonlen high school and the youth development center and the 81st avenue library in east oakland. and we said to ourselves, maybe we could open our doors on friday and saturday nights to give kids safe places off the streets and that together by also urging families to not have their kids on the street late at night, unless they're in a safe place. that we could bring down the incidents of murder long term in this city. >> city leaders say they've been examining data over the past ten years and they found the numbers show most homicides happen late on weekend nights.

looking for revenge in palo alto. 17-year-old fabian sargosa has been charged as an adult in that shooting. investigators say he fired on the garcia family car mistakingly believing them to be from the same gang that had beaten him a few days earlier. both of baby isaac's parents were wounded in that shooting. divers recovered a car. they used inflatable devices to bring that car to the surface about six hours later. you can see they were pulling it up on shore, the divers did not finds anyone inside the car. and work was underway at a project that is going to make it easier to get to the airport. oakland international is now preparing to offer a flight that at one tight would have been unheard of. -- that at one time would have been unheard of.
