san francisco police shot a man after they say he pulled a gun on undercover officers when they tried to arrest him. the shooting occurred right across from safeway high school.

david stevenson has our report. >> reporter: a steep stretch of golf street where police tracked down this 31-year-old to the georgia ran' nor phapbddy apartments. he was on active parole and wanted for felony vandalism and resisting arrest. he mrs. fired an assault weapon in the neighborhood earlier this week >> as the officers came on the scene, it appears the suspect was leaving the drive way. the officers engaged him in an arrest in an attempt to arrest him. >> reporter: he fired a handgun at two plain clothes officers >> the officers returned fire and the suspect crashed, lost control of his vehicle, crashed across the street. >> reporter: the officers were not hit, but the suspect was wounded by police gunfire. bullet holes in the honda accord he was driving >> one person shouting at

we are warming up. our fire danger will come up as we go into the bay area weekend tomorrow morning at 6:00 am, there is your fog, not a lot, but a little bit. that's how it will be a, a push of it and back. we wouldn't see a big, big push of fog even into the weekend. the highs will be so strong in the central valley area that a lot of the heat will move out towards us. keeping the fog at the coast. basically, it's going to be a warming trepbgd, tomorrow, a few degrees warmer, saturday, sunday, monday, temperatures in the the upper 90s in the warmer spots. there is the fog. here's how the high building in. out of the desert southwest. that's where it gets real hot and super heat in bakersfield and fresno. our forecast is for warming, starting today, going through friday, saturday, sunday, there is the fog, it lingers along the coast, but the dome of high pressure and this heat will suppress the fog at the coast.
