the pig wouldn't go down. >> the pig was wounded and attacked. >> reporter: that hunter was ernie sanders. it took rescuers about abhour to find him. >> one of the hunters had a cell phone, we were able to locate the patient. & he was transported to the hospital with numerous pig bites. >> reporter: his wife was by his side at the hospital and didn't want to talk about the attack. there is no criminal investigation into today's attack and the wild pig won't be attacking anyone else. >> apparently the pig was dispatched by someone else who was present. >> reporter: we learned that sanders is an experienced hunter and leads guided hunts.

ktvu channel 2 news. fisherman died after two boats slided on the water. ktvu's mike mibach is live in south san francisco where crews brought the victims to shore, mike? >> reporter: we are learning the two people who water tossed into the water, a father and son, that collision occurred, i want to show you the boat. the fire boat from the san francisco fire department that was involved in the initial emergency response. the coast guard said it was around 1:00 when they collided off the shore near hunters point. the coast guard was quick to receive a emergency radio call and alerted other agencies. when crews arrived on scene, two people were located in the water, both men were brought here to the marina in south san francisco where a number of ambulances were waiting.

one man that marina witnessed the two men get pulled to shore. >> they were working on him trying to get him back and then, you know, who knows. didn't look to good for that guy. the second one, you know, few minutes later they brought him, he was -- he looked banged up. bleeding. he was moving around, you could tell he was in pain. within the last couple hours we spoke with family members outside san francisco general hospital and they confirmed it was the 30-year- old son a father of two himself, who died. >> when they found him he is not breathing anymore. they tried help him breathe for two hours. it's -- didn't work. >> reporter: for about two hours emergency crews this afternoon, include dive team were searching for a third person who was thought to be in the water, that person was

contacted by phone about 3:00, it appears the fishing outing he usually makes with them is one he didn't make today. the coast guard towed in the two vessels and an investigation is now underway. reporting live, mike mibach, ktvu channel 2 news. an eight-year-old boy receive adhereo's honor today for rescuing a three-year-old from drowning. >> very heroic actions. >> the san jose fire department welcomed him and his family this morning. he says he was just about to get out of the pool at the apartment monday afternoon when he and his mother saw the girl and her grandfather floating unconscious. >> reporter: did you think you would ever be a hero?

>> yeah. right now i think. >> his father and mother say they are very proud of their son who learned how to swim two years ago. police are investigating a mid-day killing about 12:30 this afternoon in the front yard of a home on florida avenue. officers say they found an 18- year-old man suffering from gun shot wounds. he died later at the hospital. san jose police say a tip led them to an attempted murder suspect who nearly stabbed a man to death. investigators say he robbed a clerk at a jewelry store monday night and stabbed him multiple times. the clerk is recovering now at the want-officers arrested the suspect last night. police charged a 21-year- old female camp counselor with having sex with a teenaged boy.

she was a program leader for the teen extreme program. the parents of a 14-year-old boy who attended the camp reported finding suspicious text messages on the phone. after investigating they accused her of having sex with the boy. the state looks in to how phillip garrido was anal to hold jaycee dugard captive under the noses of patrol officers. at a hearing today they said since the case patrol officers are getting more training in conducting searches. they say they want to change the law to make it more difficult for prisoners to be released. >> don't presume they are suitable. they must prove it. >> another area of concern was the lack of communication between law enforcement agencies once jaycee dugard was
