that could be the reason behind this fire. when crews arrived here off jackson street, they discovered two people were trapped inside. they pulled two went out, one who was elderly and the other her caretaker. >> they were not alert. paramedics were working on them. one had burns on the body. the other one was backinged with oxygen. >> now both women are in serious condition. they were rushed to the hospital. one is being treated for second degree burns and the other suffered major smoke inhalation. there is no word on the estimates and we of course are in a pricey section of the multi-million dollar range. ktvu channel 2 news. 6:02, a little more than an hour ago police called off a

search they say led them through a police chase through downtown interstate 80. that is when the driver of a black pontiac sedan entered 880 going more than 90 miles per hour. when the suspect got off the freeway at 66th avenue he crashed into a fans and some bushes. so far they have not been able to fine him. oakland police searching for suspects in an overnight investigation. investigators say a gunman started shooting on a man inside this car and he is now in critical condition. there is no word on what led up to the gunfire but the shooting may be connected to a nearby robbery. this has been a not attack at

napa state hospital. she is here to tell us who was the latest victim. >> reporter: no official word from the hospital but we heard from a psychiatric technician at napa state hospital which is directly behind me on a staff member being assaulted on saturday. now this morning we tried to speak with several workers and those we did speak with had been off the last few days and didn't know what happened. according to. >> psychiatric patient, in unit t- 3, that is behind the fence because that is where criminals stay. choked a patient, finally the incident, followed the member and he forced patients to be mitigated if they refused to

take it voluntarily. we at staff members what does on behind the fence. >> one or two bitten and another patient attacked one of our very old patients. now we tried to get information from the hospital this morning. we went to the unit but we were stopped at the gates there and we have gotten the phone number from police and the hospital spokesperson. we called that number but if we could get this particular incident confirmed by then, again we have spoken to a staff member and we have information from other staff members about that incident. reporting live in napa. ktvu channel 2 news. well this morning, a director at standard importers says he had no reports. it was based on several factors including damage done during the debt ceiling debate.

declare himself a candidate as mayor, ktvu channel 2 news. >> the death of a vallejo man shot and killed while driving is under investigation. jade hernandez is at the scene with what may have led up to the shooting, jade? >> reporter: this is an extremely busy intersection. you can see he remnants of the flares which blocked off this intersection late last night after the shooting took place. vallejo police arrived and found 28-year-old joseph mace inside his ford explorer. she was a vallejo resident and most vehicle were seen in the area but police have only a vague description of the men in the vehicles. they found the crime scene in this parking lot and it is a
