san francisco police are investigating several violent incidents that happened at last night's game. who is head, and who is falling behind? the new poll out this morning

in san francisco's mayor's race. good morning, and welcome to mornings on 2, 2 is sunday, august 21. >> it's time for a look at your sunday morning forecast. >> we do have a warming trend on the way. unfortunately, it's not going to be here in time for your sunday. low pressure off the coastline. our afternoon will have sunshine, partly cloudy skies. similar temperatures. we will be warmer in some spots. we'll show you where we do expect to be a few degrees warmer coming up in a few moments. new video of a nasty brawl between fans last night. a man wearing a 49ers jacket,

exchanging blows with a fan. a friend, jumpings in and starting punching that first anyone niners fan in the head. there were also two shootings, which police say may be related. >> reporter: that fight you just showed is one of several violent incidents that happened at last night's niners raiders preseason game. right now, we're outside candlestick park, where there were two shootings. firefighter police say one of the shooting victims, a 24-year- old man was able to drive himself to this security station here at gate a, and ask for hesp. he is now in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. but just 20 minutes before that, there was another shooting. a second man was shot in the lot v parking lot.

he was also taken to the hospital. police aren't sure whether the two shooting victims actually attended the game. police are investigating the two shootings as separate incidents, but believe they may be related. there was also violence inside the stadium, during the 4th quarter of the game, police say a san rafael man was badly beaten, and knocked unconscious. he is also suffering from life- threatening injuries. police do have information on a suspect. in some cases, the violence inside the stadium was in plain view. our cameras captured this video of a brawl breaking out in the stands. you can see men in niners and raiders jerseys throwing punches at each other. at least one man was led away

by police. 49ers officials issued a very brief statement, only that they they had no information on the shootings. san francisco police are asking anyone who witnessed the shootings to give them a call. police have a description of the shooting of the man in the bathroom. he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and blue jeans. inover night news, a teenage boy is dead, after being shot at a birthday party in antioch. authorities say the gunman shot the 16-year-old boy after an argument around 10:15 last night. police are not releasing the victim's identity. a 17-year-old girl was also shot, but was taken to the hospital and released. three people are being

treated for injuries in castro valley after a shooting in that neighborhood. police say the victims, a woman and two minute had just left a nearby club when someone opened fire. one of the victims was able to get to the hospital by himself, the other two had to be transported, but their injuries do not appear to be serious. police say they are still interviewing witnesses. eight cameras were installed around the golden gate village in an attempt to cut down on crime. cameras are rolling 24/7, although they are not monitored. officials say the footage will be reveal, only if a crime occurs. bart says it has not ruled shutting down cell phone

service again. it says the protesters planned to use text messages to organize another protest. bart officials said it did not interfere with free speech rights. this morning, the 2-year- old boy is recovering at oakland children's hospital after being shot in the arm. two women, relatives of the little boy brought him to the hospital. one said it happened while the boy was sitting in a car, the other said it happened while they were walking on international boulevard. police checked both locations and said no one in the area heard or saw anything. >> it was that close, we should have. nobody heard anything. >> there is a lot of questions that need to be answered with regards to how to yeah, this

francisco mayor. the chronicle report says it comes from backing of a pension measure. that's despite that the interim mayor went back on his word not to seek a full term. here's a look at how other candidates faired. duffy gets 8%. former supervisor, at 5%. the poll does not include the public defender, it was taken before he jumped into the race. meanwhile, san francisco's district attorneys is no longer investigating the run ed run campaign. others called for the probe.

trend, and is going to push this north. that low sitting off our coast this morning will wash out, and we're going to actually see a nice warm up, into the workweek. for today, most of our inland areas sitting 80 degrees. by tuesday, sighting in the low, mid-90s, a nice, noticeable warm up for the inland spots, whether or not you like it, it finally will feel a little more like summer. 74 in santa rosa. 74 for sonoma. 73degrees in napa. these temperatures, a few degrees warmer than what we saw yesterday. in some cases along the coast, just as cool, maybe cooler. 70degrees for san rafael this afternoon. 67 expected in richmond. low 80sent yak. the south bay, a nice warm one,

the stunt pilot, brian jenson who also flew for delta airlines could not pull up from the downward spiral. the spoke and flames shot out from that wreckage. jenson had logged 23,000 hours. the show was canceled for the rest of the day, but organizers decided the event should reopen today in jenson's memory. sources say moammar gadhafi's days are numbered. rebel forces are less than 20 miles from his strong hold in tripoli. state television, carried audio from gadhafi. in which he condemned the rebels. despite vacationalling at martha's vineyard, president obama is keeping close tabs on libya. he has been receiving regular updates and is in contact with the opposition forces.

aides spoke on the condition of anonymity. vice president joe biden remains in china this morning, and is trying to reassure the country, u.s. debt is secure, after the standard & poor's downgrade. we want to show you video of biden yesterday. this morning, biden met with students at a chinese university, and he told them the u.s. cannot afford to make good on its commitments. texas governor, rick perry is back home this morning, after a week long campaign swing through early primary states. >> the next president of the united states who will get america working again. >> that is perry's wife, introducing him at a rally in austin. hundreds of people attended the welcome home event. >> we not only created 40% of all the jobs created in this

country since june of 2009, but our credit rating went up during that tough economic time. >> a rasmussen report shows perry now leading the gop presidential field with 29%. as perry surged ahead in the polls, john huntsman is going on the attack. huntsman is criticizing perry for his skepticism of global warming. saying that skepticism is not good for our future. he is also skeptical of comments perry made about ben bernanke. a woman who accused dominique strauss-kahn says she thinks the charges may be dropped against him. he told police he attacked her, he is due in court on tuesday. the district attorney offered to meet with the woman

tomorrow, and her lawyer said prosecutors would not have called for that meeting, unless they plan today give the woman bad news about the case. prosecutors are not commenting. 35,000 union employees will return to their jobs tomorrow night. there is still no deal, but verizon, and the union have agreed to move forward. sticking points, such as paid holidays, pensions and healthcare premiums remain unsettled. 62,000 southern california grocery employees could walk off their jobs. more than 90% of workers rejected a healthcare proposal last night. they have also authorized their union to report a strike. the union will report tomorrow, and more negotiations will

in pittsburgh, pennsylvania, search crews recovered the body of a woman who drowned in a flood. searchers found the body after flying a chopper over the algainy river. >> at least we have located her, and it brings some closure to the family. >> water from two storms overwhelmed the city's drainage system. submerging dozens of vehicles. a woman and two daughters were also killed. the coast guard is looking into what caused the death of a scuba diver in monterey bay. the 50-year-old was reported missing just before 11:30

yesterday morning. searchers found him 20 minutes later, unresponsive in the water. it is still unclear what went wrong. this morning, a bay area man is celebrating his successful completion of a 111- mile swim in the sacramento river. jamie patrick climbed out of the water at the tower bridge in sacramento. he started his swim 31 hours earlier in the town of princeton. he was a fundraiser for the buena vista auxiliary. he says he also wants to bring awareness to the issue of clean water. right now, we want to take you outside to look at alcatraz this morning. right now, there are an estimated 1800 people in that water, swimming from alcatraz to the marina green. all of those swimmers dove into the water at 7:00 this morning. the 1.2-mile swim across the bay is the first leg. once the swiners reach the

marina green, they're going to begin a bicycle course, through the great highway back to marina green, and then they're going to reason out to baker beach, up to the sand ladder and back to the marina green. rosemary, when you jump in that water, you cool down completely. taking that swim and bike ride to warm up. >> it's going to shock them in getting the hardest part over, maybe first. the good news out at alcatraz, it's a foggy one, but quiet out there. the winds are generally light. about 55 degrees. the air temperature. it looks like the water temperature right about 60 degrees. the winds, generally light. southeasterly coming in right about 5 miles per hour. anywhere from 5 to 10. so good luck to the triathlon as they move through their big trek this morning. meanwhile, the rest of us,

a big fight in the stands as rowdy football fans get out of hand. >> that fight is just one of

several violent incidents during the raiders/49ers game. police are also investigating two shootings in the parking lot of candlestick park. new video of one of those fights. alley, any word on the condition of the victims? >> claudine, there were two shooting victims. according to police, one of the victims did not suffer any injuries. another man is in critical condition after suffering life- threatening injuries. according to police, the 24- year-old man was shot 2 to 4 times in the stomach and was able to drive himself to this security station, stumble out and ask for help until paramedics arrived. there was also violence inside the stadium last night.

our cameras captured this video of a brawl breaking out in the stands during the game. you can see men in niners and raiders jerseys throwing punches at each other. at least one man, we saw appeared to be scuffed up, was led away after that brawl. people in the stands also got video of that same exact fight. this is video posted on youtube this morning. a slightly different angle of the same brawl that happened. you can see a man in a 49ers jacket, exchanging blows with a guy in a raider's shirt before it appears friends or supporters or other people in the stands also got in the brawl. a 26-year-old san rafael man was badly beaten, and knocked knocked unconscious in an upper level men's restroom. for now, raiders officials aren't commenting on any of the

violence that happened last night. 49ers officials issued a very short statement, saying they had no more information to provide. san francisco police are hoping there are other witnesses that can provide them information, and anyone that witnessed the shootings or beatings are asked to begin them a call. police have released a description of the suspect in the bathroom beating. they say he is a samoan pacific islander. 6'4". he has a goatee, and long hair, tied up in a ponytail. there is now word that hayward police may be close to making an arrest in the missing nursing student michelle le. her family says police have told them, they are planning to make an arrest in the case in the near future. they're bracing for that moment. >> just not knowing, not knowing what's going to happen,

and knowing that the worst is yet to, it's been 85 days and it's worst is yet to come. >> she was last seen may 27, leaving kaiser hospital in hayward. she went to get something from her car, but never returned. hayward police are treating the case as a homicide, even though her body has never been found. a stanford student has been found, hundreds of people responded, and he was found to have entered a rainforest, where there was no cell phone reception. his parents say he is safe, and they're grateful for all the help. police say a little boy was crossing silver avenue, ahead of a family member, when he was

struck yesterday morning. investigators say the boy's injuries are not life- threatening. officers are looking for a dark green, 1980s, hatch back, with a missing passenger side mirror. we now now the name of the woman killed in a san francisco muni accident. the coroner has islanded the victim as emily dunn of san francisco. police say she was at a crosswalk in the castro district. witnesses say the bus hit her, and pinned her under the vehicle. muni is testing the bus driver for drugs. there is no evidence he was speeding or under the influence. caltran's nine year partnership with amtrak could be coming to an end. call train's staff recommended signing a contract with missouri based transit america services. caltrain officials say they hope the proposed contract is going to save money in the long run. the board of directers will

joining us live this morning. >> good morning. >> i understand you just talked to josh fattal, and shane bauer's attorney. by all reports, this sentence took him by surprise too. >> he was still in shock. he said i can't believe what happened in that trial. the americans received that eight years in prison. he believes that case is extremely political. and that this is extremely political. so he was really actually hopeful. he said that case comes not off the judicially, but from the government. so he was very hopeful that something happens to the hikers like what happened for the american japanese journalists a few years ago. that she was sentenced actually eight years and was released a

jacket, exchanging blows with a man in a raiders shirt. some could be seen watching and cheering. two separate shootings. ktvu's allie rasmus is live now in san francisco with details on the multiple investigations underway. >> reporter: we start with the two shootings that you mentioned. both of them happened in the park lot after last night's game. one of the victims was able to drive himself here to gate a and can ask security for help, after he about been shot two to four times in the stomach. police say that shooting victim is at san francisco general hospital with life-threatening injuries. just 20 minutes before that, there was a second man shot in the lot b parking lot. police say that man was not seriously injured. police are investigating the

two shootings as separate incidents. but say they believe they may be related. there was also violence inside the stadium. a san rafael man was badly beaten, and knocked unconscious in a men's restroom. police have a description of a possible suspect in that beating, and we'll have the details on that suspect in a moment. in some cases, the violence in the stadium was in plain view. our cameras captured this video of a brawl breaking out in the stands during the game. you see police break up the fight. at least one man was led away by police with his hands behind his back. 49ers officials aren't commenting on the incidents last night. they issued a statement saying they have no information to

provide. but police are hoping there are witnesses who do have information. they're hoping for people who witnessed the shootings or the beating to give them a call. police released a vague description of the beating in the bathroom. he is samoan. long hair tied up in a ponytail and was seen in a white t-shirt and blue jeans. a deadly shooting happened on savil circle in antioch. police are not releasing the victim's identity, but tell us he did live in oakley. a 17-year-old girl was also shot, but she was treated at the hospital and released. no word on whether police have a suspect in custody. three people are treated after a shooting in castro valley at 2:00 a.m. police say the victims, a woman, and two men had just

left a nearby club when someone opened fire. one of the victims was able to get to the fire by himself. the other had to be transported. there is no information on the gunman yet. police are still interviewing witnesses. a boy is recovering after being shot in the arm. one says it happened while the boy was sitting in a parked car at mcarthur and seminary. another says it happened while they were walking on international boulevard. police say no one in the area heard, or saw anything. >> it was that close, we should have. nobody heard anything. >> there is a lot of questions that need to be answered with regards to how to yeah, this child got shot. again, we've gotten some varying stories to this point. >> my little cousin, but he's okay. >> the child is your cousin? >> yeah. >> he was walking with who? >> he was walking with us.

cockpit. the show was canceled canceled for the rest of the day. everyone decided the event would very open today in jenson's memory. an accident sent a teenage girl to the hospital. a piece of the mass of this swinging pirate ship, the sea dragon, suddenly snapped while people were onboard. it hit at least one rider. people at the park, say it was a frightening scene. >> the girl was bleeding. it kind of scared me, and the girl had glass in her eye. >> besides the teenager who went to the hospital, four other people suffered minor injuries. the coast guard is looking into what caused the death of a scuba diver in monterey bay. searchers found him 20 minutes later, unresponsive in the water. for the first time in 70 years, people are being allowed to use a los angeles river for recreation. it's a two month pilot program, which allows people to use

kayaks and canoes to paddle down the river in the san fernando valley: there have been efforts in the past ten years to clean it up. the river runs 51 miles and empties into the pacific ocean. this morning, a bay area man is celebrating his successful completion of a swim in the sacramento river. jamie patrick climbed onto the water in the sacramento river. he started his nob stop swim 31 hours later. he says he wants to bring awareness to the issue of clean water. right now in san francisco, people are swimming in the bay area from alcatraz. the 1.2-mile swim across the bay is the first leg.

families of shane bauer and fattal say the news hit them hard. their attorney says he will appeal the sentence. sara shored was released last year for medical cases. san francisco police are still searching for the driver who hit a 5-year-old boy. police tell ktvu, the little boy was crossing silver avenue ahead of a family member when he was struck about 11:30 yesterday morning. witnesses said the driver was a latino man. we know the name of the victim in a muni accident. emily dunn of san francisco. police say dunn was in a crosswalk in the castro district. witnesses said the bus hit and pinned her under ground.

there -- that fire started just before 5:00 last night in the hills above fairfax. flames sent dense smoke into the air, and people reported seeing and smelling it miles away. several crews were called in to get to the hard to reach fire. >> the crews had to hike into the fire. about 2500 feet to get to the fire. >> the fire burned four acres before being contained. nobody was hurt, and no structures were threatened. firefighters are crediting bikers and hikers in the area for quickly reporting the fire on their cell phones. hayward police may be close in making an arrest for the missing michelle le.
