from police head quarters with new comments from the 49ers president. >> reporter: as far as the investigation goes, misthere have not made any arrests. they are looking for a suspect regarding the beating in the mens room and have identified a person of interest in one of the shootings. right now san francisco 49ers are holding a press conference down in santa clara at headquarters. we'll let you know what they have to say about saturday's violence. our cameras caught this brawl in the stand one of many that erupted throughout the stadium and in one of the most serious incidents a 26-year-old man was found beaten unconscious in the men's room. he is in fair condition. police are looking for the link between two gunshot victims. one slot shot in the face. his wounds are considered super official. another man shot in the stomach. he is also fair.

communicating on an entirely new level. he was able to mouth words that are special to them and brought tears to their eyes. they would not tell us what the words are now. another protest is planned for this afternoon at bart. the transit agency says service is not expected to be disrupted. ktvu allie rasmus joins us live from bart's president and the protest organizers. >> reporter: the online activist group known as anonymous is organizing this protest. they are leading their followers on twitter. they asking to meet outside the bart civic center station for a protest. they are telling protestors not to block commuters as they make their way downstairs. the group anonymous is protesting bart's decision on

august 11th to shut down cell phone service. protestors have scheduled for a demonstration for that day to protest a man a man that had been shot to death. bart said they received information that demonstrators were planning to use their cell phones to coordinate their movements and bring the trains to a standstill. bart's president bob franklin says he doesn't expect the transit agency to shut off cell phone service again. >> the protest will be at the civic center. there is no need to turn off cell phone coverage. it is a tool that bart police do have if they need it. >> reporter: hundreds turned out at a protest last monday. bart did not shut off service during that demonstration but bart did close four of its downtown stations during the protest. bart riders say think they are -- say they are making

alternate plans. >> i can leave earlier from school. >> probably walk. >> yeah we will probably walk. hopefully with the bus route around here. >> reporter: bart board of directors is holding a special meeting this wednesday at 10:30 in the morning to discuss whether bart can shut off cell phone service later in the future. live in san francisco allie rasmus ktvu channel 2:news. >> thank you. drivers may have noticed more traffic on the bay bridge commute into san francisco this morning. delays reached more than 20 minutes from 6:30 and continued well after 9:00 a.m.. and our traffic reporter sal castaneda noticed a lot more slow traffic in the city this morning. there is no official word why but it may be regular bart riders were taking their car to avoid this afternoon's planned protest. this is the third planned protest at a bart station in recent weeks.

remember you can always goes go to the channel 2 website for planned protests. it can be a bumpy road for bay area transportation progross. if the plan goes through they would lose $1.7 billion a year. the cuts are needed because of a shortage and the highway trust fund that pays for road and transit projects. some bay area projects include replacing bart's aging train cars. extending the car pool lane on interstate 680 in walnut creek. and upgrading the cal train tracks on the peninsula. ed lee was out campaigning in china town as part of his run for mayor. lee took a walk through the port smith square area asking people to vote for him.

senator dianne feinstein was supposed to join him but canceled at the last minute. president obama and other world leaders are urging libyan leader moammar gadhafi to recognize that his reign is over. u.s. officials say libyan rebels now control most of the capitol city of tripoli and it's a matter of time before they topple gadhafi rules. there are reports that three of gadhafi son's have been arrested and some of his forces are negotiating surrounder. the rebels have set up a transitional team but there are concerns about an immediate power vacuum. >> i think problem number one is who now takes control of gadhafi's military? they have tanks, they have artillery and rockets, air defense rocket systems, surface to surface missiles. ground to air missiles.

who will take control of that stuff? >> president obama issued a written statement while vacationing in martha's vineyard urging rebels to respect rights. >> as we move forward from this pivotal face, the opposition should continue to take important steps to bring about a transition that is peaceful, inclusive, and just. the leadership has made clear the rights of all libyans must be respected. >> at this point there is no word where gadhafi is but it's believed he is hiding somewhere in libya. the u.n. secretary plans to hold a meeting this week to discuss the situation. rebels have been fighting since february. the sentencing of two uc berkeley graduates could add more tension to the upcoming u.s. visit. on saturday an iranian court sentenced shawn bower and josh

fattal for eight years in prison for charges on spying and illegally entering iran. they will appeal. they were arrested in 2009. shourd was released last year on medical grounds. on mornings on two yesterday we talked to a man that is in close contact with their lawyer. they hope something will be worked out. and secretary of state hillary clinton issued a statement saying quote we continue to call and work for their immediate release. it is time for them to return home and be reunited with their families. the assault charges against dominic strauss kahn could be dropped tomorrow. the former head of the international monetary fund was arrested in may when a hotel made told police he sexually sa

district attorney is trying to figure out if they will retry airs. he's accused of molesting

several young boys during therapy sessions. in june a jury found ayres unfit for trial due to dementia. families of alleged victims hired a private investigators that followed ayres to a lunch meeting last week. it shows ayres is not the dotterring old man that his attorneys claim he is. more than 5,000 children and teens in the u.s. are injured each year in falls from windows. that is from new research released today. most children fall from first or second story windows. that was the case last month in brentwood when a five-year-old boy pushed a screen out the window and fell. the highest number of injuries happen in summer months when windows are left open. every year ktvu and cox enterprises seek out people who preserve the outdoor environment in our communities. our chief meteorologist bill martin has this report on one

expected to reach wind speeds of 115 miles an hour when it hits florida on thursday. however, the worst of the storm is expected to remain about 150 miles away from the florida coast. good afternoon to you. sunny skies slowly gaining the upper hand over the bay we are still socked in with low clouds and fog out there this morning. take a look at what is happening. we have nice clearing over the north bay east as well as south. it's right here san francisco and the east bay oakland, hayward, alameda still dealing with the gray sky. 63 degrees san francisco. 62 in oakland. upper 60th san ho -- upper 60s san jose. where we are seeing the sunshine we are seeing mild temperatures as well. 65 napa. 66 in santa rosa. we expect a spike in our temperatures at least the inland temperatures for the afternoon. high pressure building in from the east will push this trough to the west. as it does the temperatures are

expected to sore anywhere from 5-10 degrees above yesterday. that will be for the afternoon today bringing us to near seasonal temperatures and come tomorrow we could be a little bit above. again focusing on the inland areas along the coastline not such a big warm up. we will see a modest 1-4-degree temperature lift over yesterday. 80 degrees expected this afternoon for petaluma. wide spread low 80s for nevada. upper 70s sonoma. 70-degrees in richmond. how about the east bay? low 70s expected for today. 72 oakland. 74 expected in hayward. going inland temperatures warming quite a bit. 88 expected in antioch. 86 expected concord. 84 for danville. mid 80s pleasanton and livermore. upper 70s milpitas. 80 degrees expected san jose. 84 degrees for saratoga.

still a gorgeous forecast. we are expecting late august here. 71 san bruno. 73 san mateo. 67 degrees expected for the city this afternoon. warmer for tomorrow. low mid 90s it will grow grow a little more comfortable. along the coast it will get nice. we slide a little bit on wednesday. for the coastline shut l changes mid to upper 60s with partly cloudy skies. saturday just as warm. sunday we see a drop once again back for the coastline in the low 60s and mid upper 80s inland. not mad at -- not bad at all. after 158 years in the making the martin luther king junior memorial is open for the public today. the 30-foot statue is located near the jefferson and lincoln memorials. people started visiting the site this morning. on sunday the anniversary of his i have a dream speech there will be a dedication ceremony which will be attended by president obama.

compared to the wild swings earlier this month trading is realtively calm. still the dow gave up a 200 point rally in earlier trading today as investigators felt worried about the u.s. and whether or not it may fall into another recession. the dow up 86. nasdaq up 12. s & p up 4.5. the u.s. olympic committee will not submit a bid to host the 2012 summer olympics. that came in a tweet this morning. the decision stems from a long running feud between the usoc and the international committee over revenue sharing. they last hosted a winter olympics in 2002. the next chance would be the
