layer and we have a vog advisory coming up. especially for inland areas another leap in our temperatures and we will look at those coming up. >> first some of that fog is right there on the geld end gate bridge. no major problems and no traffic on 280 let's go back to pam and dave. two people were stabbed at a daily bowling alley. some of the victims were rushed to san francisco general hospital and police have not confirmed exactly what happened but the crime scene has been set up at that bowling alley. we have a news crew on the scene giving us a live report coming up in 0 minutes.

there were three separate shootings and kraig debro has more on what police were saying. >> reporter: they say they will be starting an autopsy on the homicide victim sometime later this morning and i spoke to a homicide detective at oakland police headquarters and he tells me there is very little information but they have been back here working on all three shootings. all three took place in less than an hour and it took place on 38th avenue. one person suffered one gunshot wound. the up identified man was taken to a hospital and then police response and find the body of an unidentified man : man is pronounced dead at the scene and it happen outside the royal

recognisance center. this one happened at a liquor store. now i called the owner of the taco truck and i am still trying to reach the owner of the store to find out more details of those shootings. new security will be in place for 49ers following all the wild violence during the raiders game. new secure rules will keep them from giving their tickets to somebody who causes trouble at the games. >> steps need to be taken to make sure people know they will be caught and prosecuted for these violent acts. and what we have to do is moral

to prevent them. >> plus after the games san francisco police will conduct checkpoints right outside. between the 99ers and raiders that will be canceled indefinitely and oakland police will beef up their presence. news about some of the people found hurt. the condition has been upgraded to fair. a 24-year-old man who was shot four times was also upgraded to fair condition. another person was wounded and his condition was not serious. bart protesters snarled traffic for hours. allie rasmus at the hall of justice with more on dozens of people taken into custody, allie? >> reporter: it lasted for several hours right through the evening commute and they kept moving from on the bart

platform to upstairs on market street. they arrested 40 people during last night's demonstration. [crowd noise] >> reporter: now this is where the protests all began at the civic center and bart police shuffled all the protesters you to the side. shortly after that bart closed those as well and it affected the evening commute. bart police arrested several people and most of those arrests were for interfering with train service. the reason protesters called this demonstration in the first place is because they were upset about shutting cell phone service and were angry about the bart shooting death of a man on the platform last month.

protesters said they have to be here. >> if we can't be here speaking where else had we be listened to . it is chance to get involved instead of yelling out here for no good reason. >> reporter: now after the civic station closed protesters made their way from the civic center to the ferry building and most of the protesters were arrested for failing to disburse and some of them sat down in the middle of traffic street this was the a lot of advanced notice this protest would take place and there have been a number of protests during the past months and

during those events bart service has been shut down. they will not be able to talk to us. new reports coming from libya of explosions near muammar gaddafi's compound in tripoli. all of this follows the take over of most of tripoli by antigovernment rebels. coming up we will have a report from our washington d of why the sudden appearance of his son and it is raising questions about his rebels. long time bay act attorney will be late to rest. you can see him here from 2000. he was killed while jogging august 14th. his family is offering a reward for information leading to the

locations. a new survey says companies are planning an average in wage and benefit packages put down before the recession began. they are filing for bankruptcy protection. the weak economy hit when they were already making cut backs when they over expanded some of their stores. they have some in berkeley and san francisco and they say all of the stores will remain open and workers will keep their jobs while they look for private investors topi the chain. would some counties residents want to do. why food pantry owners want

surveillance cameras and in some areas they have their own cameras following several burglaries. they installed cameras after a long debate about privacy concerns. >> you have to drive up and down the freeway there are cameras everywhere. >> since the cameras have been installed the number of thefts have dropped almost 2 5%. william airs has been ruled inn competent to stand trial. he is accused of molesting several young patients and yesterday after determining he suffers from memory loss he cannot use that for his defense. an area to determine where he will be permanently housed has been scheduled for september 7thth. some food banks are trying to prevent people from getting

with kraig debro good morning. >> reporter: they told me they would begin an autopsy on the homicide victim a little later this morning and here when i spoke to the homicide detective about the shooting last night he said they had been back here and they are working on all three shootings. all three took less than an hour and at first outside a parked taco truck one person suffered and an unidentified man was taken to the hospital. 30 minutes later police responded to 1800 block of 79th avenue and they find the body of an under eye done paid to man and he is -- unidentified man and he is pronounced dead at the scene. ten minutes after that, this one happening as a result of a robbery or robbery attempt inside or outside the store.

i called the owner of the taco truck. we will try and get more details, reporting live kraig debro ktvu channel 2 news. 49ers are wasting no time tightening security after the violence over the weekend. they will impose new security measures beginning next saturday night. fans can no longer tailgate in the parking lot during or after the game. they will improve for season tickets if they get caught acting unrulely. now the father of bryan stow cannot understand the violence. >> why even go to a game, i don't know what it's just to be mean just to beat on somebody or to shoot them is even worse. >> bryan stow remains at san francisco general -- san

francisco general hospital making slow but steady recovery. as for the raiders, two are at san francisco and he has upgraded the condition of a man who was beaten and found unconscious on the floor of a restroom to fair. another person was shot but his injuries were not as serious. they have identified a teenager killed saturday at a party in antioch. and 17-year-old was also hurt and was brought to the hospital. investigators think the shootings are gang-related. so far demonstrators went from the civic center and last night was the 4th major program.

stabbed in daily city, tara moriarty just left the bowling alley as police were clearing the crime scene, tara? >> reporter: we are here and still awaiting official confirmation about this stabbing. we were this where police sexed over a parks lot and they removed that crime scene tape and left. here is what we know four men were rushed to san francisco general hospital with what appears to be serious stab wounds. one man was losing a lot of blood an emergency crews were administering pints of blood. the victims arrived at the hospital first but since they did not have a trauma unit they were transported there. i'm not sure how they must have got end to the hospital but we did not know if the stabbing

bridge toll plaza there is a back up and once you get onto the bridge there will be slowing on the way into san francisco. at 6:36 let me throw in rosemary bart is on time. many of us are waking up with this sunshine and some of us are not so lucky we are waking up with pretty low fog dense fog to be exact and that high pressure brought in from yesterday will be strengthening and it is squashing that marine layer all the way down to the ground. the marine layer yesterday depth 2000 feet and this morning it is less than 1,000 and this morning again it is squashed down to the ground. this dense fog rice are you for reyes. some of our coastal highways are less than a mile so if you

are drive willing on highway 101 be prepared for that. high pressure continues to build and a quicker burn off expected, 70s and 80s for the bay area and mostly clear for the inland areas with temperatures warming from mid- 80s to up eastern 90s. watching a few high clouds you may notice the clockwise circulation dropping -- dragging in from the south and it is not expected to be a big deal at all. take a look at the forecast, we have that fog inside the bay. but by 11:00 it burned off and it is back along the coastline. notice the milky white and that's the possibility. cooler in some areas, 52 in santa rosa, as well as 52 in oakland and test the water for

another property is being threatened by erosion and in danger of sliding into the ocean. palmetto avenue is a historic building known as dollar radio. now erosion is slowly moving her home closer to the edge of the cliff. she wants to put bolders to stabilize her home but it does not meet the definition of emergency. her home sits on the same cliff that the home were evacuated last year and those homes remain abandoned. living in the sierra foothills, he has seen a lot of wild animals but his recent visitors were a first. when he got outside he didn't see anything at first but then he saw a large figure of a mother bear. >> she stood up on her back legs and instead of backing up like i should have i ran.

muammar gaddafi continues in tripoli. rebel spokesperson claims 8 5% of tripoli is controlled by rebels. four bart protests in six weeks and there may be more to come. last night's demonstration hit in the heart of san francisco and allie rasmus is live where come a muters are voicing their frustration -- commuters are voicing their frustration allie? >> reporter: you can see this morning it is open but people are coming up making their way to work but if you were to be here at 5:00 yesterday this is what you would have seen. >> [crowd noise] >> reporter: the people at this demonstration were upset about two things preventing another scheduled protest and the bart police shooting death of a man

last month. just a half hour after that bart police shut down the station shuffling all the protesters outside. many of the people of the demonstration moved to the powell street demonstration and bart police closed that area as well. bart riding was also disrupted and they arrested a total of five people most of them were interfering with train service. they made their way down market street and all of this took place between 5:00 and 8:30 at the height of the evening commute. other protesters say it was important for them to be there. >> i think people around the coup trip are waking up seeing police are out of control. i am all for law enforcement. >> all they are doing is creating a focus on something

like plastic gloves instead of being out here and yelling for no good reason. >> reporter: san francisco police say they arrested approximately 40 people during last night's demonstration and once it got to market street most of them report failing to disburse after they blocked traffic. after the protest was over the powell and civic station was open. we are waiting to hear from spokesperson and a lot of commuters were aware this protest would happen and many of them may have made alternate travel plans. allie rasmuss ktvu channel 2 news. we are watching new york because today the charges against dominique strauss-kahn may be dropped. he is expected to have a status hearing this morning and the former head of the funds was accused of sexual assault by a hotel maid. prosecutors have asked them to

we are seeing clearer skies and in some cases we see a fog deck in fact we are dealing with high pressure pulling in and you may have felt it. we warmed up by several degrees and another big warmup expected for today and it is squashing that marine layer bringing it all the way down to the ground. meanwhile our afternoon temperatures are heating it up once again and the extented forecast looks warm and we will continue to temperatures right around 80s and 90s and reap bounding again on thursday and highs expected for today, 90 degrees sonoma, mid-80s for richmond and 63 for the afternoon temperatures a few degrees warmer around the bay area, 94 pittsburgh mid-90s for antioch. 94 in danville coming closer to the bay : 76 for the bay 83 in

heyward, a warm one in san jose and you should hit 88 in the afternoon. mid-90s saratoga. 85 along the peninsular and 84 expected in red wood city. mid-60s daily city as well as half-moon bay. 75 in the afternoon for santa cruz. temperatures will drop more notably for inland areas anywhere from five to seven degrees for wednesday and heating up today cooling back for thursday. a lock the coastline low-to-mid 60s and slightly cooler for the weekend. saturday sunday along the coast mid-to-upper 80s expected for inland areas, back to the desk.
