an earthquake rattles the bay area overnight. we'll tell you why people say it felt much bigger than it was. a national monument is closed down on the east coast. how our washington, d.c. bureau became part of the story. >> reporter: they haven't raised the price of a school lunch in nearly ten years. we'll tell you which bay area city it is. and it could be an explosive situation outside of san francisco. on the heels of the east coast earthquake, we had a quake of our own. the ktvu newsroom received calls from viewers throughout the bay area. claudine wong is live in san leandro right now, near the epicenter. >> reporter: good morning. yes, this earthquake hit at 11:36 last night t was a 3.6 earthquake, certainly not huge by bay area california standards. but enough to have people talking. viewers are checking in. one said it was a quick roller, enough to get him out of bed. someone said they felt it big in south city. we know 6,000 people have said they felt it. they checked in. and the man inside the 7-11, it certainly caught him offguard. he said he was actually out sweeping this parking lot this morning, when the ground started shagging and he said he could actually -- shaked shaking and eb said he could

see it roll from one side of the store to the next. we've been going up and down the street checking in with businesses and people and some said they thought it was bigger than a 3.6. others didn't feel it at all. it all depended on who you were and what -- where you were and what you were doing. >> laying up in bed trying to get dressed for work and the bed rolled a little bit. >> reporter: did you think, oh, my gosh, we're having an earthquake? >> yeah. that's what my wife said. >> it was pretty hard. it hit. i jumped up. >> reporter: didn't sound like it lasted all long? >> no. >> reporter: was it like a shaking or a rolling? >> a big shake. that's what it was like, yeah. >> reporter: so a lot of different descriptions we've heard out here in san leandro over on the san leandro/oakland

border. some people said it felt like a shake, someone said it felt like they ran into their house. the guy thought a car hit the side of the building. no reports of any damage. nothing fell off the shelves here or down the street at a local grocery store and really because of the bay area, most people said after the shaking stopped, they just slipped back to whatever they were doing before. claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news. >> all right. thank you. 7:02. well, there have been several strong aftershocks following the biggest quake to hit the east coast since world war ii. the wiggest -- the biggest after shock -- aftershock was a 3.4. it rattled virginia just a little while ago. that following the quake that hit on the east coast early yesterday afternoon. it was centered in rural virginia, about 80 miles from washington, d.c. millions of people were scared from

toronto, canada, a way to south carolina. it shook up washington, d.c. the u.s. capitol, the pentagon, several other government buildings, they were all evacuated. cracks were found in the top of the washington monument. it's gonna be closed indefinitely. at first a lot of people in washington thought it was another terror attack. 7:03. our colleagues who work in ktvu's washington, d.c. bureau became part of the quake story. they were forced out of their offices and into the street, moments after the ground started shaking. we talked to them on the news at noon. we'll see how things are going this morning in a live report from the bureau. that's coming up in a few minutes. people in the east coast say they are becoming the butt of jokes. west coast residents are going on social networking sites and posting messages such as, come on, east coast. we have those for breakfasts. sal castanedo made a comment that's gone viral.

of course, these all came after no one was injured in the quake. san francisco mayor ed lee said -- >> mayor lee released this statement late yesterday before this morning's quake in the east bay. 7:04. there is a new plan to improve school lunches in one bay area school district. but how much will it cost? tara moriarty is live in redwood city right now, where that's gonna be debated tonight. tara? >> reporter: well, that's right. a turkey dog or baked chicken. those are the types of options that kids in hoover elementary are offered when it's time for lunch. they also get fruit and milk. some say they need more choices and they need to pay more for it. so redwood trustees will be voting on whether to raise the price on meals. meal the currently cost $1.75.

the district would pump the point -- the money. officials would like to expanded handmade burrito bar and offer a larger array of fresh fruits and vegetables. redwood city hasn't raised its prices in nearly a decade. nutritionists say better food means better fuel for the minds of young students. if this site is approved, lunches here would cost $2.50. the only other district that charges that are san mateo and south san francisco. live in redwood city, i'm tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 news. 7:06. well, dozens of special needs children have a new school to go to in east contra costa county. a nonprofit organization, the lin center, signed a lease with

oakland union elementary center for its almond grove elementary district. they have to move to make room for middle school students on an overcrowded campus. 7:06. an explosive tanker filled with liquid propane caught fire yesterday in lincoln and it could burn for two weeks. coming up at 7:35. we'll have a live update on the fire and the evacuations in that area. new rules on the handling of captive elephants could mean the end of elephant rides at 6 flags discovery kingdom in vallejo. that would mean the elimination of the park's interactive program which includes touching and sometimes riding the animals.

members of people for the ethical treatment of animals are delighted with the rules. if six flags does not comply, it could lose its zoo accreditation. 7:07. let's check in with sal. do you have anything under control so far, sal? >> yeah. we have a new problem first tipped off to us by bill tweety. he's alerting us there is a new crash in vallejo on highway 37 and columbus parkway, a big rig and a car and the traffic is going to be a little a little slow in that area. if you drive on 37, give yourself extra time now. if you are moving to, let's say, the south bay -- south bay, the traffic southbound at sim rule road -- sam hill road. there is a crash. we're just getting record of that -- word of that. let's go to the toll plaza. there are no major problems if you are driving onto the bridge itself. over to the east bay, hayward,

traffic on southbound 880 is backed up from about "a" street as you head down to fremont. most of it is slow. 680 is good. highway 4 is slow in antioch and it looks like there is a crash westbound 4 in the bay point area near willow pass road. we'll get to the bottom of that and see if we can get a live picture of that for you coming up. let's go to mark. good morning, to you sal. a beautiful sunrise. moisture is moving into the bay area. that's why it felt muggy out there and a few clouds to mendocino county. you can see north ukiah. it's mild out there near concord, fairfield and livermore. 60, hayward. santa rosa right around 55. this morning watch out for the

dense fog, especially coast side, even a few patches heading into the bay. visibility is let than one quarter of a mile. that will be a concern over next few hours. satellite and radar, you can see the system we've been watching for the next few days. basically, moving parallel and scooting to the north and east and with that the high clouds we'll have this morning, we'll be moving out. we'll still have the low clouds and fog pulling back. still cool for the beaches. partly cloudy skies for san francisco and more sunshine as you work your way inland -- inland. but everybody cools off. dense fog at 8:00. by 3:00. still patchy fog. right around the bay, increase in sunshine. low 70s to the lower 80s and the inland spots we're off to a mild spot this morning. in the afternoon there is the eventual temperature range, maybe a few low 90s. so these numbers, about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than yesterday's

an update on the tropics. hurricane irene is forcing the evacuation of small north carolina -- the small north carolina island of ocracoke. the evacuation comes after irene was upgraded to a category 3 hurricane, packing 115-mile-per-hour winds. up and down the atlantic seaboard, people have been stocking up on supplies. this storm could approach the carolinas otherrers weekend, especially by -- over the weekend, especially by by saturday. pore -- especially by saturday. puerto rico is trying to clean up. power was knocked out to more than a million people. president obama has signed an emergency declaration for puerto puerto rico to receive disaster assistance. many east coast residents are still shaken up and could cleaning up after a rare earthquake rocked the region.

carol han is live with more. >> reporter: good morning. these streets were clogged with people and cars when we were evacuated yesterday afternoon. it was mild chaos out here. but take a look fairly quiet as the district cleans up. the quake lasted 45 seconds and prompted the evacuation of every major building here, including federal agencies and national monuments. when all were said and done, no serious injuries were recorded. we only saw minor damage to buildings. cracks were found at the very top of the national monument and it will be closed indefinitely. at the national cathedral, parts of the tower fell to the ground. i spoke to one tourist who was in the white house and -- when it started shifting.

has exhausted all of his options and his reign appears to be over. the attorney general meets with 9/11 victims. eric holder will give an update into the investigation of the possible hacking of 9/11 victims' phones. that issue came to light after a story in a british tabloid based on an anonymous source said they were getting access to -- they wanted access to phone records. that request was turned down. the military tribunal will hear closing arguments in the case of owen. he was released in january after these videos came out. they included anti-gay slurs

and very explicit sex scenes. 7:17. the placerville city council has removed its mayor in the midst of conspiracy and perjury charges. counsel members stripped him of his title last night. >> we've now officially removed the mayor of placerville. >> they cannot remove him from the city council but they also voted to request that he take an indefinite leave of absence. the decision was made after he voted and bought property in the same zone. >> what he has done, is accuse of doing -- doing, has disgraced the entire council. >> the mayor was not there.

his attorney was there. he has not said that he has planned on resigning. he only said that he will focus on the charges against him. the fairness doctrine required broadcasters to cover controversial issues in a manner considered fair and balanced by the fdc. the fdc declared the fairness doctrine unconstitutional back in 1997 and has not enforced it since then. famed basketball coach pat summitt said she won't walk away from being the head coach of the tennessee women's basketball program despite having a serious medical problem. she made the announcement in a message to the fans of the lady volunteers. >> earlier this year, the doctors at the mayo clinic diagnosed me with an earlier onseedmen shawn, alzheimer's type at the -- on set of

dementia, alzheimer's type. i will continue to be your coach. >> she's won eight national championships, the most of any coach in college basketball history. she says she will rely more on her coaching staff but won't allow a pity party while at the university. prosecutors in los angeles are charging the grandson of actor clark gable of pointing a laser beam at a police helicopter. they say 22-year-old clark james gable flashed that laser in a helicopter flying over hollywood three times on july 28th. it temporarily blinded two officers on board. they tracked that beam to a red car and officers stopped that vehicle. gable was riding with it as a passenger. he will be arraigned on friday. he could get up to three years in prison. 7:20. a group of school children return home from their first day of school. a frightening moments aboard a packed school bus and

[ screaming ] fer fiing moments -- terrifying moments for a group coming home from their first day of school when the driver noticed smoke coming from the steering wheel. the bus driver was able to pull over and get all 16 students out safely. no word on what caused the fire. a woman from orange county accused of throwing her 7-month- old baby off a parking garage structure may be in court today. sonya hermoseo was arrested monday night just minutes after

her baby was scene falling off the garage. she was depressed after she was told her son was born with a deformity. she's having psychological evaluations and the baby is in the hospital in critical condition. we want to check in with sal. traffic fairly slow. >> there is some slow traffic. i'm getting my hands full all of a sudden with all of the activity on the road. look at 280 northbound. very slow getting up to the downtown san jose area and getting up to the west valley. by the way, northbound 280 after farmhill road on the shoulder, there is a fatal accident. no word on whether someone was struck by a vehicle or exactly what happened. but several chp units are on the scene and we have a reporter on the way to this incident on 280 northbound after farmhill boulevard. traffic there is getting thick. let's take a look at the bay bridge. that's backed up for a rather large delay, 15 to 20 minutes

the stage is set for a showdown in just 90 minutes. b.a.r.t.'s board of directors will meet face to face with the protesters who have been disrupting b.a.r.t. service. kraig debro is live at oakland's lake merritt b.a.r.t. station to let us know what will happen. good morning, kraig. >> reporter: good morning, tori. when this all happened, earlier this month, b.a.r.t. explained the reasons why they were shutting down cell phone service and then they put out a letter, once again, explaining why they shut down cell phone service. but they are doing it fine, explaining why they shut down cell service. the group "anonymous" is protesting the decision to cut off cell phone use at four

stations in order to proprevent -- in order to prevent the protesters. one individual says it's wrong for the protesters to disrupt the b.a.r.t. service in july and august as well. she also said it was wrong to leave station agents out of the loop. >> if we don't know something is gonna impact something to that degree, it doesn't help us help them. >> reporter: another potential problem with b.a.r.t., its decision to cut cell phone service, on monday, protesters were able to shut down two stations but most of the protesting took place in the street. b.a.r.t. was able to deal with the protesters and protect the public without shutting down cell phone service and at another protest on august 15th, protesters, once again, were able to disrupt service but b.a.r.t. police and b.a.r.t. management were able to prevent them from having a huge impact and they did that without

shutting down cell phone service. reporting live in oakland, kraig debro, ktvu channel 2 news. it is 7:30. new this morning, shots fired at a san francisco police officer. it happened just after midnight along bayshore boulevard and silver avenue. a gunman ran toward the police officer and started shooting. the officer was in plain clothes at the time and in his own car. he was not hit but his convertible was damaged. the gunman is described as an african-american with a light complexion wearing a red and white ball cap and jeans. he drove off in what's described as a tan, 199os, two- door cadillac em dorado -- em dorado with tinted -- el dorado with tinted windows. police in rhoneert park are searching for the person who stabbed a 24-year-old man. he was standing in front of his

apartment when another man stabbed him and ran away. the victim suffered minor injuries. police say the attack appears to be unprovoked. oakland police officers say they still have problems with their police radios including areas where the radios go dead. the new $18 million police radio system was installed in june but some officers say they still run into dead zones and have dropped calls. the police department says it's working on fixing the problems. next month a new antenna site will be install and several smaller an ten nones will be installed to try to eliminate those dead zones. 7:31. and new this morning, a bond measure on the november ballot may not be able to save an unused plant. the city has been buying asphalt from private companies on the peninsula. officials say even if voters

pass a $248 million streets bond in november, the plant will probably stay closed. now, it will cost an estimated $3 million to improve it and make repairs to put it back in use. the department of public works says the plant has been able to -- unable to produce enough asphalt to stay profitable. >> he's crazy. at least try to sell it, make something else there. >> well, the plant back in 2009, to allow a private asphalt deposit did not work because there were no bidders. the reward is now $12,500 in the search for the hit-and- run driver who killed a prominent san francisco attorney. a funeral was held for don casper yesterday morning in san francisco. he was struck and killed august 14th while jogging on river road in snow na county. investigators say the hit -- sonoma county. investigators say the driver was in a white pun trim like this one. it has an -- white pickup truck

one was caught, the other escaped. the one caught faces burglary and vandalism charges. a -- look at that. the whole accident here was caught on camera. the oklahoma county deputy was hit hard by an suv driving on the wrong side of the road. the driver of the suv faces charges of driving under the influence, driving on the wrong side of the road and not wearing a seat belt. a member of the k-9 unit was also in the car when the accident occurred saturday morning. the k-9 deputy also only suffered minor injuries. and the risk of an explosion has increased where a railcar fire is burning east of sacramento. the 29,000 gallon tanker filled with liquid propane is now showing signs of melting. we're live in lincoln to tell us what's being done to get the fire under control. good morning, mike. >> reporter: good morning. we're live on nicholas road. let me get you straight to a

live picture of that fire as it's burning. one of the most concerning updates so far this morning is the fact that fire officials say despite the best effort of fire officials, at noon yesterday, to put water on this fire, they are seeing signs, parts of this tank remember starting to melt and they are starting to see parts of this tanker start to break away. the structural integrity now seriously in question. the concern is if there a crack that develops in this tanker that would give an ignition point for the gas inside this tanker to explode. so that is priority number one. priority number two, we understand right now, is that a specialized team from houston, texas is in a strategy session trying to figure out what the next step needs to be. how can they fix this situation without an explosion? [ no audio ] >> it looks like we lost our signal with our reporter. he's up there talking about the

propane tank burning in placer county. i heard in an earlier report he said it could burn for two weeks. they have several thousand people in the area evacuated. that would certainly be a very -- certainly be inconvenient for them and a very dangerous situation. if the tanker does melt, he said it's starting to crack, it could spread to other tankers in the area and create a huge crater. >> and the chemical vapor in the air. >> it's a very serious situation there. we'll try to reestablish our contact with mike and get more information. 7:38. we're gonna get in touch with sal now. see how your commute is going. >> dave and tori, things are getting busy all over the bay area. let's go and take a look at some of these pictures of very slow traffic on 280 northbound. as a matter of fact, northbound 280 is not only slow here but it's going to be slow at farmhill road if you are driving up the peninsula, you will see slow traffic because of an incident there with the chp on the scene that's not blocking lanes in the woodside

area of farmhill road. let's move along and take a look at the been toll plaza. traffic there is gonna be slow. we've made some progress in vallejo, or the chp has, by getting the handle on a crash between a big rig and a car on the mare island bridge. and traffic is gonna be a little slow in the area. you can see the contra costa commute, still pretty slow. antioch, a lot of slow traffic getting out to pittsburg and bay point. 680. so from pleasantville all the way down to alamo. let's go to mark. hi, sal. there's that fog bank and the mount tam. you get an idea -- i keep going back and forth here. i'm so excited with this shot. we have dense fog below this. but away from this, temperatures soared yesterday. today will be carolina than yesterday. here is a -- today will be

cooler than yesterday. here is the radar. you can see a little bit of activity here. ukiah reporting trace amounts of rain over the past couple of hours. temperatures, though, off to a mild start, main lip in the 60s out toward -- mainly in the 60s. san jose mid-50s, right around 55 degrees. so this morning, areas of dense fog out there, visibilities for the coast, less than a quarter of a mile. so be careful driving highway 1, the golden gate bridge even right around the bay itself. because the fog is definitely making a comeback. this has been a complicating part of our forecast. it has the potential to produce thunderstorms and widespread shower activity just skirting the bay area. as a result, we have a few high clouds out there this morning that will be moving out of town. this morning for the coast, dense fog, 53 to 56. by 3:00 some patchy fog, low to mid-60s around the bay. skies becoming mostly sunny.

temperatures low 70s to lower 80s. and then for the inland spots, temperatures on the warm side, upper 80s to right around 90 degrees. these numbers coming down right around 5 to 10 degrees. santa rosa 84. brentwood still hot 91. san francisco in the upper 60s. san jose tops out in the mid- 80s. mountain view, 80 degrees. there was a slight chance of a shower for the bay area. all of that activity moving out to the north. you can see our extended forecast with your weekend always in view. turns cool off for a little bit on thursday and then we warm back up on friday and then into the weekend. 7:41. what's moving the markets this morning, causing another rise for stocks and another country's credit rating is downgraded. also, the school year is just starting but it may be over sooner than expected for at least one local school district.

stocks are up this morning, putting the market on track after a four-week slump. a sharp increase in orders for long-lasting goods countered a series of poor economic reports this week. one interesting note, the price of gold, down 5% as investors become less fearful. right now, the dow is up 62. nasdaq up 6. s&p up 7. the markets in the far east had a rough day. all of the major indexes were down, with hong kong taking the biggest fall of more than 2%. south korea was one 1.1/4. european markets including the dax opened up and have been

alive. we are here off 280. we're right on the exit here. you can see behind me that there is a lot of traffic impacted by the accident and chp is still on the scene. this is interstate 280 southbound. we're at the farmhill boulevard exit. around 6:30, a driver on the other side of the freeway, noticed a man lying on the shoulder of the road. he called 911 and now officers are telling us that the victim got into an accident on the southbound side, then called across all of the lanes of traffic where he ended up on the roadside. >> for unknown reasons, he was traveling southbound on 280 unknown speed and for -- for unknown reasons, his vehicle went off the roadway and off the shoulder and hit the guardrail, overturned on the right side there. right now we're still investigating. officers ran a traffic break while a toe truck backed up to the pushes here to try to -- tow truck backed up to the

welcome back. libya's prim declared moammar gadhafi's -- prime minister declared moammar gadhafi's grip on power is over. we're hearing of more fighting today after the anti-rebels took control of moammar gadhafi's compound but they didn't find gadhafi there. we're live with our reporter on the border of libya and tunisia. thank you for joining us. the big question here is, where is moammar gadhafi? >> reporter: that's the million- dollar question, isn't it? they are expecting him to be inside his stronghold. when rebels yesterday stormed the compound, they did not find

him. there have been tales coming back from rebels that they have discovered a network of tunnels which run from the compound across the city, tunnels being built in the past four years. they are beginning to suspect that they may have used those tunnels as an escape route. they could either be in safe housings. there is a big gun battle at the airport. given nato's no-fly zone, it would be difficult for him to escape. the rebels had said that they captured her four sons. however, that appears not to be the case. the four sons have been running a military campaign and the resistance against the rebels effectively these past six months. if when the -- when the rebels have some 80% of tripoli, that's gonna be a very bitter fight, indeed. the concern, dave, now for not just citizens who are

encountering firing, sniper fire, apparently from pro- gadhafi forces but what's happening elsewhere is where they will try to kick down the ground. they believe that pro- government forces in gadhafi's hometown could surrender. that would be a major psychological blow to the gadhafi regime as he would have a main safe haven really knocked out. so all in all, gadhafi is on the run. where he is? rebels are desperately trying to find him. they will leave no stone unturned until they do. they want too see him and his sons ultimately brought to justice. dave? >> thank you dominic. 8:30. back here at home. in less than a half-hour from right now, the b.a.r.t. board of directors has invited protesters to a special meeting to try to work out their differences. kraig debro joins us live. he's in oakland now with some of the details.

bank, now away from that, livermore checking in, 69 degrees. fairfield in the upper 60s. san rafael at 56 and san jose in the upper 60s right around 67 degrees. dense fog advisory posted for the bay area coastline. that's in place until 10:00 this morning. visibility is coming down to less than a quarter of a mile. here we go. satellite and radar. you can pick out this circulation out here in the pacific. this potential could have produced the widespread showers, even some thundershowers across the bay area. a few showers flirting with our coastline. but this system is moving to the east and the high clouds will be moving out of town. here's an update on hurricane irene. this is a category 3 hurricane. you can see the forecast track as we take this into thursday, friday, and into saturday. by the weekend -- by the weekend, it will be very close to the outer banks of north carolina and then as you can pick out on this track, it could be approaching fairly

close to new york or boston. but the important thing, this track has been changing bite -- has been changing quite a bit. dense fog for the coast by 3:00, patchy fog, low to mid- 60s out there. increase in sunshine this afternoon. low 70s to the lower 80s. for the inland neighbors, warmest locations in the up earl 80s to right around the -- in the upper 80s to right around the middle 80s. san jose tops out at 85. here is a look ahead to your extended forecast. temperatures cool off a little bit for thursday. we warm things up for friday and that trend will continue as we do head into the weekend. another weather update in a few minutes. it is 8:38. well, we all know the bay area is a pretty cool place. but now scientists have proof.

in fact, san jose's had its coolest august in 35 years. the average summertime highs were between 76 and 80 degrees. that's several degrees cooler than normal. the average high in august so far has been 78 degrees which is the coolest on record since 1976. evacuations are underway in parts of north carolina because of hurricane irene coming up at 8:35, a live report from the carolina coast as vacationers and residents brace for this category 3 storm. our time is now 8:38. well a jewelry storeowner in georgia got a very expensive surprise from his dog. after $10,000 in diamonds disappeared. the dog is named honey bun. there's honey bun. walks around on the jewelry store counterrer and welcomes the owners but his -- counter and welcomes the customers. but his owner recently left some diamonds in a pouch next to his dog feets -- treats.

annual gathering in wyoming this friday. new this morning, google has agreed to pay $500 million to settle a federal investigation into the company's distribution of online ads from canadian pharmacies that were illegally selling prescription drugs to americans. the settlement means google will not face criminal prosecution for accusations it improperly profited from ads promoting canadian pharmacies that illegally promoted drugs in the u.s. google has acknowledged that ads were sought despite the company's policy. google's stock is up 1%. toys 'r' us plan to build 21 superstars and they will combine the offerth of toys 'r' us and babies are us and have

280 and foothill road. the traffic in that area is still pretty slow. tara moriarty is there in woodside to tell us the chp thought this was gonna be a lot worse. right, tara? >> reporter: that's right. the initial reports that came in said there there was a body alongside the roadway. but, in fact, the man was found alive. we're here off interstate 28 oh, the farmhill boulevard exit. if you take a look over to this direction you can see that the man actually staggered or crawled across all of these lanes of traffic where he was spotted on the other side by a driver. now, we have new video for you, apparently the man's truck is so wedged into the bushes, it will take two tow trucks to get it out. that second tow arrived about a half-hour ago. officers say at 6:30, this morning, the driver veered off the road right before the farm hill exit, smacked into a guardrail and into a tree. if that tree had not been there, he would have rolled off

at this hour, evacuations are underway in parts of north carolina. early this morning, irene was upgraded to a category 3 hurricane with winds clocked at 115 miles an hour. john roberts is live at atlantic beach, north carolina, where it's sunny right now but it looks windy. i'm sure it's gonna look very different this weekend. this is the picture, tori,

where the correspondent is standing on the beach which is in pretty good shape. surf's up a little bit. you are saying at home, where is the hurricane? well, the hurricane is still about 900 miles away. it's coming up in this area. in fact, the eye of the hurricane, according to lateert hurricane center track, expected to -- latest hurricane center track, expected to pass, and there is a very good chance if it stays on the track we'll see hurricane-force winds in atlantic beach in the next three days or so. they've ordered evacuations on ocracoke island. that island is only accessible by ferry boat. there's probably about 1,000 there. they want to make sure they get them all off. that's a process that takes a long time. here on atlantic beach, trace cooper, who is the mayor, is going to have a meeting with his emergency management people n about two hours' time, they are gonna take a look at the storm and fick out if they need to order -- figure out if they need to order evacuation.
