least one home has again destroyed. 1,100 acres which was burning is now fully contained. everybody has baseball to make it back home safe. two mobile homes were destroyed in that fire. wildfires are devastating texas this morning. coming up how tropical storm lee fanned the flames that consumed thousands of acres. well back here in oakland thousand gathered to remember the city's thousands of homicide victims. a wooden cross with was carried and the group lit one candle for each person killed in 2010 and in 2011.

gabe. good morning lots of low clouds and fog 60s and 70s by the beaches. he has killed a woman and an 18-month-old daughter stuck in the home. tropical winds are making this the fastest moving fire they have ever seen. yesterday it burned thousands of acres in novato county. the woman and her daughter were inside one of those homes and unable to escape in time. that fire is now contained. i want to show you video from another wildfire that ignited in north texas yesterday. it is a train trestle also in

for narrow -- in novato county, at least eight structures were destroyed and several people had to be evacuated. powerful waves are being blamed for the death of a surfer, he was found unresponsive in the ocean on state. he was taken to the hospital where he died. high surf caused by a storm in the south pacific has created dangerous conditions including here in the bay area. a soldier from livermore has died of rabies. 24-year-old specialist kevin r shoe maker survived the military police company in afghanistan from may 2010 until may of this year. officials say he died last wednesday in new york where he was stationed at fort drum. the military says how he contracted rabies is under
