here is your traffic. traffic is moving along well at the bay area and we will look at the commute on highway 4, it looks like a nice drive with no major issues if you are driving on interstate 680 so far it looks pretty good. on interstate 880 and oakland traffic is looking good in both directions and finally for the support you can see san mateo bridge traffic looks good and traffic is smooth in both directions on highway 101. let's go back to the desk. they continue to investigate a fire that destroyed one home and damaged two others. live in concord with a look at the damage, good morning alex. >> reporter: good morning. this three story home that was under construction is a total loss. for a time several other neighbors homes in this area

were also threatened. look at this place next door. this one had a few windows blown out from the fire. it happened last night in concord. they call under for extra firefighter and one home was damaged by this fire. that homeowner we are told was out of town. gasoline and power lines they had to deal with and as the firefighters try to help people save their places one woman told us there were embers raining down on this neighborhood. >> it was flying all over and was burning on my dad's shirt and on my hair and my step mom's shirt and with all the big embers, it was catching everything on fire. >> because so many other homes were threatened from this fire

it turned into a two-alarm fire. >> reporter: it is standard procedure for arson investigators to look into the cause of the fire but at this point they do not think the fire was intentionally set. live this morning in concord news news. a fire started. people in 170 homes have been evacuated and several more have been told to leave. strong winds helped to fuel the fire from tropical storm lee. right now there are 60 wildfires across the state.

business of 4th avenue. the member told officers he was letting a customer out of his shop when a man came in with a gun and demanded money. he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. both men ran from the store but it is not known if they were working together. police across the country are seeing an increase at the gold stores. they are warning thieves are ripping necklaces right off of people's necks. the suspected killer is still believed to be hiding in woods. authorities chased down a lead in the manhunt for a man who is accused of killing someone, they say he may have also

killed someone on august 11th. >> they are reaching out and the last thing they want is anymore violence. >> deputies spotted him on sunday near his mother's house but he was able to escape into the woods. his parents say he is mentally ill and authorities warn he is armed and dangerous. they are completing the third homicide in the mission district. they showed us this picture. a man around 45 years old a was shot and killed just after 2:00 yesterday morning. police do not believe his killing was linked to two other homicides. a man is facing child cruelty charges after he left his son in a hot car while he drank in a bar. he was arrested at the iron spring pub and brewery

yesterday afternoon. witnesses confronted him and he rolled down the windows a little before going back into the bar. the child did not need to be hospitalized and was picked up by his mother. bart protesters are gearing up for what they call a mass action in san francisco. a handful of protesters gathered last night and making sure nothing happened but above ground demonstrators stood silently holding signs. they should not be angry at them. >> we don't think we have anything to apologize. we think bart should apologize for running a police force for 4030 years -- for 30 years has been a disgrace. >> bart says nobody was arrested at last night's demonstration and train service

. time now 4:44 parades has been marched by deadly violence and a shooting a few blocks from the west annual parade in brooklyn. they also saw fatal shootings in 2004 and 20005. they celebrate the music of the caribbean islands. only on 2 has security breach, staff is demanding all the locks be changed. hospital police confirmed that a patient stole keys from a staff member on sunday. the patient is described as extremely dangerous. now police say they can prevent a dangerous patient even one with keys from escaping from a secure part of the hospital but neighbors are worried.

if you are driving in oakland. it is a nice looking drive getting all the way to the downtown area. this morning's commute looks fine if you are driving on the sunole grade all the way to san jose. traffic looks good driving to 237 and in the south bay, there is a crash on the right shoulder but there is not much of a back up at this point and you can see the indicater at the bottom right of your screen and no major problems. this is a look at the peninsular and highway 101 looks good from san mateo down to red wood city. 4:53 let's go to steve. we have some thick fog but it is not the coverage we have had the last couple of mornings and fog is reported from san jose to santa rosa and high pressure is building in from southern california and we will have a rapid warmup and we will
