tara moriarty will tell us what we know about the suspect's background, tara? >> reporter: the woman arrested for michelle lee's murder is reportedly seven months progress and giselle esteban will be appearing here in the courthouse later this afternoon for her arrangement around 2:00 this afternoon. now we did get some information from former boyfriend and they site a history for a propensity for violence for giselle esteban. they took helper into custody yesterday morning. giselle esteban filed a restrain being order against her and the two share a child together. michelle lee's body still is not found and giselle esteban may be the only person who knows where she is. >> you know she used to call me

towards the commute here. traffic is backing up already in some of those lanes and no major problems in the upper deck of the bay bridge. let's move along and take a look at interstate 880. they are playing monday night in denver as the first game of their season but you don't have to worry about a radars game so you can get that off your mind, near the coliseum traffic is moving well. the traffic on the peninsular southbound 101 all the way to palo alto traffic is looking very nice. high pressure came in yesterday but all signs point to a cool down still some 90s inland down to 48 degrees, some clouds and low fog and it is either cool or warm on your lows and i will show you in a

second. it will be sunny warm to hot, and the majority begins today. the coast and bay fog is increasing and yesterday there was fog no doubt about it and it didn't travel very far. there it is, lifting and it allows the sea breeze to open the door to a cooler pattern. a lot of 60s by the coast, capitola in northeast california will head back up towards central california which in turn will give us additional cooling and clouds off the sierra nevada. we are just taking time, 60 in livermore, 48 in santa rosa and 40 in kentwood and calistoga so there is a little chill to the morning air. in some locations upper 50s and 60s. more of a see breeze today than

-- sea breeze today than yesterday. there is no sign that will head towards the pacific northwest it will flatten the ridge and have a big warmup and yesterday all signs point to a cooler pattern. it will still be warm but temperatures will be coming down near 90 for many, saturday and sunday, the low ran off santa barbara where it could be mostly sunny and cloudy pattern. we will have more fog it will still be foggy, but a lot of locations and way too much fog and more of a westerly wind closer to 60s and 70s. we do have our combination of partly sunny skies to mostly cloudy skies for the weekend. investigating a wildfire that came close to a half dozen

homes it is still burning. the fires already burned about 60 acres and it is 0% couldn't -- 40% contained. now the wind gusts pushed the flames across the hills and firefighters were able to stop it. firefighters have a handle over the fire that was marked by a small plane crash. it burned nearly 15,000 acres since starting sunday. 12 houses and 18 out buildings were destroyed. some of the residents are being told check your property quickly for possible gas leaks and other problems. oh, boy, tropical storm lee is still causing problems, what one community is preparing for, for the first time in almost 40

good and if you are draft edriving in san jose, northbound traffic on 880 looks good, here is steve. we do have more in the way of low clouds and fog also a sea breeze not only the delta area but other locations as well. down far, they are making more of a push and clouds have made it into san jose and it tells me it will be cooler with a good looking low if you are in weather. northeast california, we may have to keep an eye for a lot of clouds, a lot of 40s including oakland 60s livermore and low clouds coming in. our system will start to bump the high out of here which will open the door to be stronger so it will be sunny, warm to hot and we definitely topped out on temperatures yesterday. we will go 60s and 70s and in

oakland going 68 today. santa rosa 87 same for san jose, still some mid-90s and the trends is to bring these temperatures down and with your weekend always in view, done cancel any plans but keep your eye on the sky because we have a lot of mid-level tropical clouds. >> they could pay a lot of money, they accused them for failing to inspect underground gas tanks and the charges are from the last 18 years. officials are not commenting on the proposed settlement. there are proposals that two of its biggest employers remain far apart as they expire. chrysler has just started negotiating wages while talks with general motors are progressing and there is a possibility of profit sharing

just before she disappeared, her former boyfriend filed a restraining order against her. giselle esteban reportedly told friends she hated michelle lee and reportedly came between her and the child's father. >> i am certain the investigators don't know the answer to that question, and that question may only be answered i am assuming by giselle esteban herself. >> reporter: her car was found war she was last seen and they have surveillance video and other dna evidence in giselle esteban's home linked her to the crime. we have discovered she is seven months pregnant and who that father is we don't know that. they have conducted several searches for michelle an offered a $100,000 reward and

they will conduct a search for her body and we will have more details coming up on the show. tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 news. we are learning this morning a jet which took off was forced to make an emergency landing in grand junction colorado. the flight had mechanical problems during that cross country trip but the jet did land safely and the passengers were put up in colorado hotels. happening right now in san francisco, just hours ago, workers at the grand hi at walked over the job. union leaders say they have been without a contract since 2009 and the protest is part of a nationwide week long strike.
