are right in front of this house. the stolen car is to the right of that silver van in front of that white house in the disstance. that was just after midnight. they tried to stop the driver of the stolen ford and the confrontation broke ut. the police officer fired their weapons and the 31-year-old man was shot. >> we don't have all the information information on what led up to this. they are working at the scene here, this is the vehicle where this happen. investigators are

not sure if a police officer or highway patrol officer shot the man. they are working on that and what led up to the shooting in the first place. a second person in that vehicle, a 40-year-old santa jose man. he was not shot or injured and he is at the police station being questioned. a suspect in custody in the killing of a college football star. a young man that was shot to death in an apartment he shared with his mother reporter: he was found in his bedroom and the police were called and the man was pronounced dead at the scene at his home. the police got information that led to two men.

here is one of the men. he is 18. he is involved in the homicide. the police said along with having friends in fair field, he had the addresses where they were looking. already arrested in connection with the homicide, ken franklin from fair field. the police got leads pretty quickly to lead to that arrest. he is in custody and talking to police after this report, i will try to get more details on this. johnson is on the roster of the football team and they have a game tomorrow. we will try to talk to the coach about the game coming up. the secretary of state will

with t mobile. there was a lawsuit filed last month to block the deal. it was said it would hurt competition in the wireless market, but this group of democrats said it would bring in 55,000 to 100,000 new jobs in the united states. consumer browns said it could cost jobs and t mobile workers were bracing for layoff. the democrats are under new scrutiny. free press has written that ten got half a million in campaign donations from at&t. legal experts said it could be very unusual for the president to intervene in an antitrust lawsuit.

a hurricane could make land fall in new found land and the residents are told that the winds could bring down trees and damage roofs. the vice-president is set to go to the flood damaged areas in pennsylvania today. that was after tropical storm lee two weeks back. experts said that the massive levee system that protected the ferry likely made flooding worse around the state. >> casey anthony will have to pay some of the costs for the search for her daughter. she was ordered to pay about a $100,000, but only a 5th of what they wanted her to pay. she was convicted of lying to police and now she is seeing a counselor and will start to see a psychologist soon.

the police are looking for a man that wanted to get a 10- year-old boy into his car. it happen just about 8:00 wednesday night on north butter field road. the driver was between 30 and 40 and had on a white t-shirt and had a buzz cut and had on a gold chain with a cross and the car was blue or green. if you have information, contact the police. a message in the bottle has been found. it was found yesterday in a beach clean up project in hawaii. inside the bottle, four flowers and the letter wanting a response. he said he will write back and will visit the city when he goes to see his family in japan. over to the morning drive. >> excuse me.

-- more on the investigation continuing into the traffic killing of a college football star. the man was shot to death at his apartment complex. >> he was shot and killed at the apartment he shared with his parents. they came home and found in his room, obviously, something wrong and they called police and they came and pronounced him dead on the scene. the police arrested one person, but looking for another person to connect with the homicide. here is that 18 year old, he has a fair field address and connections to fair field and they are looking in richmond for the young man because they think he has addresses there or friends and family in that area. the police arrested a 23-year- old from fair field connected

to the case. he was arrested yesterday and he is in jail. the victim went to the community college and was on the football team and i just spoke to the head coach of the football team to get reaction on the phone. >> it is difficult for me and the coaching staff and all our players he was so well liked and he was at practice and gone the next. it is very, very difficult. >> the football team has a game tomorrow. we want to try to go by and see where the young man lived and we heard he worked at a walmart. we will speak to the friends and maybe family and have that later this morning.
