friends or family. s.w.a.t. teams surrounded the home here for 16 hours. he was on the upper floor, authorities on the bottom. when he came down pointing a rifle, they shot him. 42-year-old rafael had a history of domestic violence with his ex-girlfriend, 30-year- old jen a mother of two. she was found tuesday night in richmond. police came to san leandro after receiving a tip yesterday morning. family members say he has threatened her in the past and she feared for her life. >> it seems to be at this point a very tragic case of domestic violence. this person had been stalking her for probably at least the last month. >> we don't know the exact condition him but he is stabilized. police will not say how romero were killed. police believe they were arguing in front of the lawn about an hour and a half before

her body was discovered. the man has an extensive criminal record. he should be charged with murder come monday morning. tara moriarity, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. a search in the bay area for two fugitives accused of dragging a santa cruz police officer with a stolen pickup truck. authorities say one week ago, 37-year-old ryan manning stepped on the gas when an officer reached into the pickup to make an arrest. the officer was dragged 30 feet. he is expected to return to work in the next few days. police say 25-year-old shivon armstrong was a passenger. they suspect the couple fled to the bay area because of a tip from a friend. happening right now, just moments ago nurses kicked off a one-day strike at bay area hospitals and beyond. look at live pictures that we're right in the middle of a picket line now.

they'll be burning today, training exercise that will start about 8:00 this morning and will go on for the next two days. neighbors say there's been a lot of activity out here recently, and there's a good reason. they're training five new firefighters, their graduation set for tomorrow, and today will be the end of a 12-week program that brings the station one step closer to being reopened. there are several closed fire stations in the city of vallejo. want to show you video of station 25. it closed on minnie drive last year. the city has just finished bankruptcy but now people are getting creative and they used grant money to hire nine new firefighters. they've only hired five so far, but they will be training here today and that means the station can reopen soon. >> station 25 is supposed to open as soon as we can hire the nine new firefighters that we're getting from grant money. the question is, how long will it take us to be able to find

the nine officers, the firefighters, and bring them onboard? >> again, back out here live on wilson drive in the city of vallejo, as you can see this an abandoned home. it has been used for training exercises. how it's been explained to me today, basically they're going to go in and actually set the fire in here so that each one of these new firefighters can show they can put this fire out, they have the right procedures underway to get the working fire under control. graduation is set for tomorrow, and so that's a big move for the city. the fire station won't reopen until all nine are hired. it is significant because it moves them one step closer to making that happen. >> thank you. one bay area city's trying to put an end to 11 hangups. starting next month vallejo

residents who accidently call 911, you can be fined $200. a lot of people who accidentally call 911, they just hang up. that often has police officers rushing to an emergency that does not exist. we recently talked to the city manager about this. >> it's quite startling to see how few people they have, and the other organizations that i've been in that have been in trouble, i haven't seen the level of staffing we have here. >> like many cities, the police department is facing huge budget cutbacks and police officers are wasting time following up on accidental calls. doctors at stanford medical center treating, a santa cruz high school student who went into cardiac arrest yesterday during a gym class. the superintendent told board members last night that sophomore was jogging during class at harvard high school when it hard. he said the quick work of a teacher who administered cpr

probably saved that teenager's life. at the last check, the young person was in critical condition, still not clear what caused the heart condition. in washington, house republican leaders are trying to regroup after a stinging loss on a bill that must pass in order to prevent a government shutdown at the end of next week. coming up at 715 we'll have a live report from auer washington, d.c. newsroom on your democrats and even some republicans voted no on that measure. the republican presidential candidates are expect to sharpen their attacks on each other in tonight's debate in florida. in recent days, the candidates have ransacked the rhetoric against each other. that's especially true of the two front-runners, rick perry and mitt romney. with five months remaining, until the first nominating contest, the candidates are increasingly focusing their attacks on each other and less on president obama. and a new poll shows an

public. a tutor for a san rafael elementary school has been arrested on charges he physically abused two students. anthony guido rose is facing charges of inflicting injury and cruelty to a child. police say the investigation started tuesday, when two children at san pedro elementary school reported being poked and pushed by rose. right now he's out on bail pending a court appearance scheduled for october 11th. in just over an hour, 18- year-old caitlin dunaway is expected to enter a plea on charges of vehicular manslaughter of a two-year-old girl. on december 1, she hit the toddler and her mother while they were in a crosswalk, according to police. police say she was texting when she hit them. the little girl's mother was also seriously hurt. free cpr lessons are offered this weekend to honor a four-year-old boy killed in santa rosa. the class is hosted by lincoln

elementary school. it's held on sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. participants are asked to donate money to the christopher roe memorial fund. christopher was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on august 18th. 22-year-old marcos garcia has been charged in the boy's death. organizers say everyone should be trained in cpr because you never know when it will be needed. and it's the type of thing you need resch courses. >> you need to be updated. >> yes. >> sal will update our commute. how are we looking? >> it's slow at the toll plaza. good morning. if you're trying to get into san francisco, a popular commute that we focus on it quite a bit here in the morning. the traffic is backed up for a 20-minute delay, which is not unusual. that's the thing that people hate, is you drive to work and take a certain amount of time, then something changes that in the way of a crash or stalled vehicle. nothing like that right now on the bay bridge.

warm temperatures but there are some subtle hints like higher elevations running about 3 degrees cooler than yesterday. and also a sea breeze is trying to get together. but it's still going to be warm to hot away from the coast. by the water's edge low clouds, fog at 9 a.m. by this afternoon they'll be mostly cloudy, partly cloudy conditions. some sun, few areas always microclimates always get some sun but a lot of fog hanging around. for the bay, foggy in the morning, by this afternoon, mostly sunny but it will be a little breezy, 68 to 84, depending on how close you to the coast. inland area, some patchy fog, clear for some and warm to hot but there will be a breeze i think later today so cooler and breezy coast but still temperatures in the 90s for some well inland. but the trend is to take the temperatures, looks like we topped out in the really take a drop off the table towards the weekend. not only low clouds but also some high and mid-level clouds. first cold front of the season on tap for sunday. today, though, 50s for many. low, mid or 60s, moffet warm

fremont startup. the latest symbol of government waste is dubbed muffin game an audit found taxpayer money was wasted at 10 law enforcement conferences, including one at the san francisco hilton. one example, $16 muff wins served. they also found coffee at more than $8 a cup, cookies at $10 apiece, and swedish meatballs for $5 each. the white house has ordered an investigation. we are now getting a look at some of the pension figures of retired employees in sonoma county. according to the press democrat, the top pension, $254,000 a year, goes to the county's retired chief financial officer. second is a retired sheriff at $239,000 a year, followed by a administrator at $209,000. high pension costs have been blamed by many counties for record budget deficits. police in hawaii

investigating a deadly accident while a new zip line was being tested it. happened yesterday on the big island. you're looking at video of the zip line operator's website. a huge tower collapsed, killing one employee. we don't know the victim's names. a zip line is a very popular tourist attraction that allows to you slide through the sky on a cage. back at home, remarkable progress reported by the family of injured giants fan bryan stow. the family's website says bryan is now able to say his own name, as well as the names of his son and daughter. he is even asked to see pictures of his children. at the same time, the family says new blood clots have appeared, and they say his road to recovery will be a long one. it's 7:20. it's a new push to slow drivers down. the call for a network of speed enforcement cameras in one bay

violations by the police. a rohnert park woman celebrated her 85th birthday with an unusual drag race. check out granny, she got to race a ford focus at infineon raceway and received a whooping 77 miles an hour! after she said her grandson didn't think they could go that fast, but she proved him wrong. the san francisco transportation commissioner is pushing for a speed enforcement tool. she wants the city to install a network of speed enforcement cameras. they would be similar to red- light cameras, but take pictures of people speeding. the vehicle owner would get a ticket in the mail. several cities have experimented with the cameras but shut them down because of legal challenges. hey, sal, where are we getting the fog from?

>> it's coming from everywhere. steve will have the technical explanation but we do have a lot of fog, especially on the golden gate bridge. you can see sometimes we'll show you the golden gate bridge from vista point. this morning you really can't see a lot of it and that's a problem for drivers in marin, san francisco, parts of alameda county. it's moving along, look at the bay bridge toll plaza. the fog is moving into other parts of the east bay. and if you're driving this morning in the south bay, northbound 101 traffic is busy and northbound 87 traffic also slow as we showed you getting into downtown and 280 is still slow getting up to highway 17. :25. steve. >> thank you. yes, bigger influence on the fog today, helped along by hot temperatures inland, that draws it in, along with cool ocean temperatures, but also cold front moving into the north. really that's what is helping enhance it. so low clouds, fog for the morning hours. not everybody is in on it but there's much more to go around today than the past 24 hours.

kraig debro is at kaiser in oakland to talk about why some 53,000 nurses are walking off the job today. kraig. >> reporter: it all started with one very small nurses union, rather a union, not even a nurses union. here at howell and macarthur, the workers now are members of union called national unionized health care workers. so this is a scene repeated at nearly three dozen hospitals across northern and central california. they're like most of these hospitals, this one is one of few peoples you'll see optical and behavioral health care workers. only 1600 strong here in the bay area, this massive strike involving 21,000 nurses started with the smallest of unions. union and strikes are just about money and any more these days, and this was no exception. the national union of health care workers say they're concerned that secondary visits were not being scheduled in time to benefit patients some when they complained to their

employer, kaiser, nothing was done to improve the situation, according to them, and things got worse. >> this issue really started around our staffing -- our staffing problem. and we essentially brought this to kaiser's attention, and in bargaining, and they ignore that proposal and in the midst of the bargaining then delivered these other really deep cuts in retirement and health care benefits. >> before we go any further, we've tried to reach kaiser multiple times for them to speak on the record either off camera or on camera. so far that's not happened. the 21,000 plus nurses with the california nurses association then decided to join in because they saw some of the same issues at their jobs, and workers now working 10 months without a contract. kaiser nurses are under contract and even though the nurses at kaiser and shut

oakland police. it's all part of the fallout from the 2003 riders police corruption case. last year the judge threatened to put the police force under federal control, pointing to what he called questionable officer conduct in recent years. the judge has new concerns, including the new federal report that says oakland police are often too quick to pout owl their guns. an emergency clean-up operation at the home of oakland mayor jean quan, after an irate neighbor complained the mayor's yard is a mess. he went before the city council tuesday night with photos of the mayor's property. pratt says the pictures clearly show the mayor's yard is a fire hazard because she failed to clear the overgrown brush outside her oakland hills home. >> this is the view from the neighbors' yard looking at her jungle. this demonstrates how the enforcement is selective and

not applied fairly throughout the city. >> if she's out of compliance, just like anyone else, she has to put her property into compliance because we have that responsibility. >> the mayor immediately responded to these complaints. last high in we spotted a gardener creeping the weeds and shrubs from outside the mayor's home. a local company has stepped in now to replace stolen computer equipment, stolen from a high school in danville. police say someone stole six ipads and a mac book from the high school. the ipads are used by special- needs students. the company called gumdrop cases, which makes covers for ipads, heard about what happened and replaced the stolen ipads. fewer americans are enrolling in graduate schools these days. it's the first time since 2003 that the number of new students has gone down. experts blame the economy. they say people out of work usually can't afford to pay the tuition. and people who are working

usually don't want to leave and get an advanced degree because de don't know if they'll have a job when they finish their studies. a court hearing on the san bruno pipeline disaster starts at 10:00 this morning. a judge is expected to set a trial date for the lawsuit filed by victims of last year's deadly disaster. there are more than 300 plaintiffs. the pg&e wants to consolidate the cases that one liability trial followed by a mediation phase. the san francisco fire department will pay tribute to two fallen firefighters today. lieutenant vincent perez and firefighter paramedic anthony valerio died battling a diamond heights house fire in june. this afternoon, their names will be unveiled on a memorial wall dedicated to those who died in the line of duty. it's been a busy week for facebook, after several changes were made to the website. and the company says this is just the beginning as they

the nasdaq. the east palo alto city council wants wells fargo to reconsider selling 1800 rental apartments to an equity firm. wells fargo took over the property after the owner went through foreclosure. now the bank is in the process of selling those units to chicago based equity residential group. the sale is expected to close next month. tenants are concerned because this group's chairman does not believe in rent control and has referred to himself as a professional opportunist. the credit ratings given by one of the biggest credit agencies is lower for three major u.s. banks. moodys service down gridded the long-term credit ratings of wells fargo and bank of america. san francisco based wells fargo saw its rating drop one level. bank of manager's fell two levels. and citigroup's sherm credit rating was bumped down although it's overall rating remains the same. your time is 7:45. a new face for facebook.

not everyone likes what they see. pam cook is in our newsroom to tell us about the changes and the reaction. pam. >> reporter: the largest social network holds its annual f8 conference today in san francisco. that's where tremendously developers to create games and apps gather and rights where the next round of changes are set to be announced. that's after 750 million users woke up to a new change yesterday. lot of people didn't notice but the homepage, if you're on facebook, now has a top story section at the top, followed by recent stories, and then down the right side of the page is what is called a ticker, which is a live feed of all the ongoing activity on your site. the news changes on -- the new changes on facebook is a hot topic on twitter and on the street, and not everyone is excited. >> several times a day and what happens is when they change things, i have to get used to it all over again.

may be closing in on the illegal pot farmers connected to one of biggest bursts in marin county history. this week authorities found 7,000 plants near hicks mountains in west marin. the sheriff's department took photos, look at this, after the bust. huge marijuana plants, every place you look, worth millions of dollars. drug agents were first tipped off by a couple deerhunters who stumble across this very elaborate pot farm last week. most of the time, pot growers used armed guards to protect their farms. but fortunately, there were no guards around this time. >> we run the fear of having people accidentally just as these deerhunters did walk into a grow operation and heaven forbidden counter a suspect. >> agents say a mexican drug cartel may be running the big pot farm and they're now hinting they're close to making some arrests. there are reports this morning that southwest airlines

is investigating several strange acts every vandalism involving graffiti tags in arabic on airplanes. according to a news agent 90 phoenix, the marks have appeared on several southwest 737 planes. they're visible on the exterior, once of power unit is turned on that keeps the outside of the plane skin. a spokesperson for southwest confirms the activity has been going on for months and agencies are involved. frequent flyers on united and continental airlines who pay more for basic fares will get more in their mileage plug accounts. the newly merged airline is offering increased rewards for higher priced tick and the a bid to gain which is travelers. fliers who buy first-class seats will earn up to 2 1/2 reward miles for every mile they fly. business class and full-fare close class tickets will also earn bonus miles. there is one downside for

good morning. welcome back to mornings on 2. it's thursday, september 22nd. earlier this morning, a 16-hour police standoff ended at a home in san leandro. police say the suspect is connected to the discovery of a woman's body in a richmond restaurant. the ktvu tara moriarity has been out there all morning long, as back now with an update, including who is now there at the scene. good morning, tara. >> reporter: good morning. two people were the alameda county district attorney's office arrived about 45 minutes ago. they're still at the home that you see behind me there, one in the skirt that you see. the house in question is the one with the crime scene tape all around it. and that is where officers ended up shooting the suspect after he pulled a rifle on them after a 16-hours of negotiations. the d.a.'s office in contra

costa -- alameda will be investigating the officer- involved shooting and the contra costa offers is expected to charge 42-year-old raphael with murder within the next 72 hours. investigators believe he killed his ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old jen romero, a mother of two, on tuesday night in richmond. she was found dead in the bathroom of angie's restaurant where she worked. police say the man killed her then went to a family member's home in san leandro to hide h. family members say he had stalked her for the past month, but police had no record of a restraining order. >> there's tons of resources we can get to relocated victims, get victims to help they need to get away from these perpetrators. they're obviously violent and this is the tragic end and we never like to hear about cases ending in this way. >> police will not say how she was killed but her boss found her body in the bathroom of his restaurant. just an hour before an anonymous caller reported a man beating up a woman in front of

the restaurant. officers did arrive at scene and knocked on the door but it was locked. no one answered. there were no witnesses there so they left. they do believe that was indeed the man. we don't know his exact condition, but we're told he is stabilized. he does have an extensive criminal record. there were several warrants out for his arrest, and now he will be facing murder charges, most likely monday we're told. tara moriarity, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. a search is underway in the bay area for two fugitives accused of dragging a santa cruz police officer with a stolen pickup truck. authorities say a week ago, 37- year-old ryan manning stepped on the gas when a police officer reached into the truck to make an arrest. the officer was dragged 30 feet, suffered back injuries and bruises. he is expected to be back at work this week, though. police say 25-year-old shyvonne

ktvu's claudine wong joins us live to tell us about training exercises for newly hired firefighters. claudine. >> reporter: good morning. we're on wilson avenue and this house behind me will be on fire in a short time this morning. this is going to be the site of a training exercise for vallejo's newest firefighters. today does mark the end of the training for the five recently hired, for a 12-week training academy. three of the firefighters got onboard thanks to a fema safe grant. the fire department also has another grant to hire an additional nine firefighters, and those hires will allow the department to open a recently closed station in north vallejo. this is video of that station on minnie drive. it closed last year due to budget cuts and they put a sign up saying hey, call 911 if you need help. but no firefighters were in the station. however, once these new firefighters get hired, the doors can open again. >> with the monies we receive from grants are we will reduce the response time. we will put more officers on

the street. we will open another fire station. we're already doing that. >> when is the fire station open? >> station 25 is supposed to open as soon as we can hire the nine new firefighters that we're getting from grant money. >> so again, grant money is the key here. the five firefighters that are going to finish their training here today, three of them were hired by grant money, then this additional nine also hired by grant money that will allow the station to reopen. however, they have not been hired yet. this is a training academy that goes 12 weeks so it's not like it's just around the corner but it's certainly a step in the direction. and that is certainly something that people are glad to hear. so we do expect firefighters out here in a short time. we'll keep an eye out here for them and we'll keep you updated on mornings on 2. claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news. doctors at stanford medical center are treating a santa cruz high school student who went into cardiac arrest during a gym class yesterday. the superintendent told board

members the sophomore was jogging during class, at harbor high school when he collapsed. the quick work of a teacher who gave cpr likely saved his life. the teen is in critical condition. it's not immediately clear what caused the cardiac arrest. the names of people trying to become a cal state campus president could be kept a secret. under the new plan, presidential finalists will also not be required to visit their perspective campus. the trustees voted to change the rules after potential candidates demanded a guarantee of privacy. the university of california system already keeps the names of applicants a secret. a non-profit organization in san francisco is facing scrutiny over its close ties with mayor ed lee. gordon chin, the outgoing director of the chinatown community development center, was also the co-chairman of the run aid run campaign to convince ed lee to run for

today, when talking about the risks of downside, saying there's a significant risk for the downside for our economy, and that is what really got people scared. what they also got yesterday, investors, they got the twist. this is a policy called operation twist, originally initiated in the 60s, when the twist was popular on the radio, hence the name. we're basically -- the government will sell short-term bonds, buy long-term bonds, twisting down long-term interest rates, under welcoming for investors for the most part. they wanted to see more, bare minimum essentially not enough. so you're seeing a continued fallout today. let's look at the big board now. it's a rough day. the dow down 373 points right now, it just keeps getting worse. as far as things are concerned, there are some other factors playing into this today as well. basically, in europe and in china, a new index surveying purchasing managers there and

good morning. welcome back. time is 8:23. bay area household incomes seem to be getting stronger. new cencus bureau numbers show the recession about not affect bay area salaries as much as other parts of california or the nation. looking back to 2006 before the recession to just last year, california's median household income dropped 6%. and for the nation, it dropped 4.4%. however, here in the bay area, incomes went up in some areas. in san francisco, they went up 1.5%. in contra costa county, they

rose 4.5%. marin county showed the sharpest drop, 5.5%. scientists will try to pinpoint today exactly when and where that roaming satellite will crash on earth. we now know that it will likely not hit north america and that it could crash land sometime tomorrow. most of the satellite is expected to burn up through the atmosphere. but some pieces will remain intact. >> there are some pieces made of stainless steel and titanium that have very high melting temperatures, and those pieces will survive. we have a list of about 26 pieces and they range from a few tenths of pounds to a few hundred pounds and pounds. >> once the pieces enter the atmosphere it will take a few minutes before the surviving pieces hit the earth. scientists are hoping they land in the ocean. because if it lands in a populated area they could do some damage. >> think of the speed!

cooler pattern it's here. a lot of reports of very thick fog from santa rosa and rohnert park up there and anna on tweet said it was thick, then thinned down, kind of dancing around. we've had reports also in vallejo and leaving somebody out, down to san jose. numerous reports of fog. but other areas are clear. so that system coming in to the north will enhance that fog. it's already showing signs of that. the breeze isn't there yet. higher elevations aren't cooler yet so there's a couple things fighting against the cooldown for inland areas, but i still think it will as that system inches closer. low clouds and fog, lots of sun. if you don't have that fog -- if the fog is on the deck it, will burn off. cool to warm to hot for some. antioch, brentwood, and vacaville, fairfield. really had a tough time with these because there's so much fog there. but it's not making it over the hills. but it will be cooler for peninsula, south bay and also north bay then around the bay over to san francisco and the coast. more of the same on friday. then a big cooldown as we look

happening right now, nurses are picketing outside bay area hospitals demanding change. kraig debro is at kaiser in oakland to talk about what is behind today's one-day strike. kraig. >> reporter: this is howe and macarthur, but according to the union might as well be in berkeley, sutter, santa rosa, solano, delta, dozens of other hospitals in california. it's a one-day strike by two unions, staffing and benefits at issue. california nurses association are walking the picket lines at kaiser and oakland children's hospital. we spoke with a rep who says nurses at sutter walked out. other hospitals plan to close or cut back services in hospitalla in san leandro and san francisco. kaiser nurses are walk out over management demands for cuts.

officials are assuring patients that patient care will not be affected. replacement workers are here, and they just stopped short of calling the walkout illegal. >> we're disappointed that the nurses have walked out. we just signed a contract with them that goes into effect -- went into effect in september, and there is a no-strike clause in that contract. so we're very disappointed that the nurses have disrupted the care for our members. >> the nurses at the overwhelming majority every news on strike today but workers with a much smaller union called for the first strike, the national unionized health care workers represent optical and behavioral health care workers. there's only 1500 in the bay area, most if not all work for kaiser. and cna unionized workers, this union is without a contract. they've been -- workers [audio

police standoff in san leandro ended when police shot the suspect. police say he is the person responsible for killing a woman whose body was found on tuesday in a richmond restaurant. house republicans in washington will try again for the measure to prevent a government shutdown at the end of next week. in a surprise defeat of a bill yesterday. democrats and tea party republicans voted against it. and some 23,000 nurses are out there walking the picket lines of sutter and kaiser hospitals across northern california. this is part of a one-day strike protesting proposed concessions by sutter health. final preparations are now underway for a fire training exercise in vallejo. ktvu's claudine wong joins us live to tell us newly hired firefighters are on the scene. good morning, claudine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. yes, firefighters are on scene here on wilson drive in vallejo. there is nothing burning yet, but it will be.

and burning throughout the day. take a look at this home on this lot. the owner agreed to let them use this as part of a training exercise. pretty important because we have five newest naves have to come in there and this will be their first kind of real experience with a live fire and getting it out safely. these firefighters are significant because this is a big move for the city of vallejo. three of them were hired by grant money. they also will hire nine more with grant money. when they get the nine more firefighters hired, guess what, the station will reopen. they have closed several stations because of budget cuts. they closed the one on minnie drive last summer. today it's got a sign out front that says fire station closed. basically just telling residents they'll have to call 911 and they're moving the engines from other fire stations to cover that area. but because they have these new firefighters coming, there's hope that that will be open

every changes are set to be announced. now, probably already know if you're a facebook user, when you logged on yesterday there were already new changes. your homepage has a top story section, followed by recent stories. and then down the right hand side is what is called a ticker, which is a live feed of all the ongoing activity on your page. a lot of comments on facebook are from people who didn't really notice the difference. but others basically don't like change. >> like a new changing in the homepage, and it's confusing for me. >> i hate it. >> several times a day, but what happens is when they change things i have to get used to it all over again. >> it is frustrating to have to navigate around a website you use every day when there are big changes. but local analysts say facebook has to continue to evolve to stay in the competition. seen as its big competitor for facebook is google plus, which already has 20 million users.

this morning at a san leandro home. tara moriarity has been there all morning and just spoke to to the suspect's daughter. tara. >> reporter: that's right, we just smoke to her minutes ago. she was crying basically all day yesterday and was very concerned about her father. she says her dad and the victim had a very volatile relationship, very up and down, and police say that relationship ended tragically when they believe he actually killed his ex-girlfriend and then came here off central avenue, into the house that you see roped off there, and that is where officers ended up shooting the suspect after he pulled a rifle on them, after 16 hours of negotiations. we want to show you a picture of 30-year-old jen romero, taken off facebook. the date is september 11th so not long ago. she's a mother of two from san pablo. it was actually on rafael's facebook page. police say she was murdered by 42-year-old raphael who was stalking her for at least a month.
